Fun Fact. Mana is the largest soft rock group in Latin America and their drummer El Animal is USA/Mexican and one of the best drummer you find. Apart from Santana here the guitarist in Mana is somethings special even though he seldom shows it but stick to his role in Mana. Now I am a big fan of Mana since beginning of the 90.s and been to 5 concerts with them. Amazing live
Hometown boy! (San Francisco) My husband worked on Carlos' crew early on, as well as on the crew for Carlos' brother George's band, Malo. All way back when. My own oddball connection is that I was in high school choir with Carlos' first wife, Debbie. We were both tenors, since there weren't enough boys to complete the section (they all wanted to be basses), so 4 out of the 6 tenors were girls. Debbie had a beautiful voice, so I was always surprised that she didn't sing with him at all. But she was busy raising their kids, running a vegetarian restaurant, and then doing philanthropic work in the Bay Area. So she didn't need to do any more singing.
I just got into your videos. I love your approach to finding new music and that you have given Santana a chance. I love his music. Such a beautiful sound.
I love this song. It may be my favorite song from that album. I was privileged to have seen him perform twice at Ravinia. He is such a generous performer and kept playing encore after encore. It was magical.
First heard this when I was ballroom dancing in college! Used to jump out of bed to practice cuban motion when my clock radio played this in the morning, when other songs left me hitting the snooze button. Missing dancing during this time, since it's hard to be in dance position from 6' away!
Fun fact, being from Texas I saw Maná at the staples center where they sold out 4 shows in less than 5 minutes also saw them recently at the forum where 7 shows were sold out! Carlos called fher of mana for the song. Staples, Taylor Swift is second to then on sold out shows and at the Forum the Eagles are 2nd to them there. You should look up one of their shows!! Their amazing live! Thanks for the video!
Oh this is an oldie but a goody. I still have the CD ( yeah I'm old) for Supernatural and that album was the sound track for one of the best times in my life. If you younguns haven't heard the album I suggest you check it out.
Love Santana! I grew up listening to him. I'd love to see him in concert one day. You can pick out the sound of Santana in a crowd because his sound is so distinct and unique. Your Spanish is pretty good! Sounds like with a little more practice you'd easily be able to carry a conversation! Buena suerte!
Hey man great job with the channel. If you want a good suggestion for a band to react to I highly recommend Sabaton. The song "Primo Victoria" or "Bismarck. All this band sings about is military history and they are a real good listen.
Jase, just found your channel. Love it. If you want more PTX, you gotta listen to Can't Hold Us and Sing. By far my two favorites. If you want more songs like Hallelujah, check out Mary, Did You Know and Carol of the Bells. I don't think I've heard any PTX song I didn't like. :D
I'd love to see you try Roundtable Revival, Who Wants to Live Forever (with The Tenors), or Shatter Me (with Lzzy Hale) by Lindsey Stirling. Shake that Bagpipe by The Sidh is also one I'd highly recommend. It just... it's beyond belief. Just watch it and judge for yourself.
You should check out Small Town Titans covers of 'You're a Mean one Mr. Grinch" "Hallelujah" and "Folsom Prison Blues" though all of their stuff is really good.
I quite enjoy this. I like your idea to find awesome music from around the world. I know you have Finland because of Nightwish, but have you heard Apocalyptica? If you ever want to see people head-bang while playing the cello, I would give them a listen/watch. The two I like most are "Battery", and "I Don't Care" Another from Japan, is Ningen Isu. Their song "Heartless Scat" iis very much worth the watch. Canada has quite a few artists...I like Arcade Fire. "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" and "Wake Up" are great. Walk Off the Earth is another great Canadian band. I enjoy "Red Hands" and "Gang of Rhythm" Germany also has Faun. "Walpurgisnacht" is an interesting video. Sweden has Fever Ray. "If I Had A Heart" is kinda hunting. England has Florence and the Machine. "Dog Days are Over", "Shake it Out", and "Seven Devils" are three of my faves of hers. Oh. Also "Rabbit Heart" LA in the USA has Foster the People. "Pumped Up Kicks" and "Helena Beat" are fun. Australia has Boy and Bear. I really like "Southern Sun" Brittan has Mumford and Sons. "Little Lion Man", "The Cave", and "I Will Wait" are best known.
I’ve got something for you to review. Tommy Emmanuel “Classical Gas”. If you haven’t heard of Tommy, he’s and old Aussie acoustic guitarist considered one of the best ever. If you watch this, notice that his eyes are closed through most of the song. He’s a BEAST!
you should try a listen to Avi Kaplen and Peter Hollens in a song called black is the color of my true loves hair. Great some and I think that you will love it.
Want to make a recommendation to you. Back on the 29th you reacted to Angelina Jordan. You really need to react to her version of Bohemian Rhapsody she did as her audition on AGT in 2019. You were really impressed by Pentotonix's version and you will be equally impressed by Angelina's. She was 13 then and you will be able to see how she has retained that quality in her voice, you spoke about, in your first reaction video of her. I promise you have never heard a rendition of this song as Angelina does it. Also, pay attention to the audience reaction to her. Everywhere she performs she absolutely shocks people right down to their bones.

I could close my eyes and listen to Santana play all day
Carlos' breakthrough came immediately--on the Woodstock stage!

If I could only take 1 album with me, it would Santana's Greatest Hits. So good. Such a unique sound.

Love Santana! 👍 Black Magic Woman was always my favorite, and I love his version of the Beatles song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I was turned on to MANÁ and Carlos Santa in the early 2000's and SUPERNATURAL was one of the first albums I bought myself.
I love that album. I like to listen to the cd while driving, great on the road music.
Adore Santana! My dad loved them and would play them all the time - thank you for sharing - iconic sound :D Stay Safe
Your Español is better than most Jase. For a minute I was thinking you were actually a native speaker.
Means "thorned" heart - broken(hurt) heart. There is an will always only be one Santana! Thanks for the reaction.
