I’m a NICU nurse, at my hospital we just use bottled water no need to boil. The brand we use differs but it doesn’t really matter. There’s also jugs of “nursery water” which we recommend parents buy when they take their babies home. I think you could find those easily! It literally says nursery water on it lol
Nursery water is what I used for both my formula fed babies. Unless I was in a jam and needed water fast lol I feel like it would be recommended by most pediatricians also due to fluoride and other added minerals in some waters.
I used nursery water for my son. Also, look into Como Tomo bottles. I switched to those after getting tires of washing the Dr. Brown ones. They're so much easier to clean!!
I always used the pre made 24 oz jugs. All I had to do was grab it out of the fridge, pour it, and warm it up. It’s really great having so many different options when it comes to formula feeding.
You don’t have to boil the distilled water. Distilled has been boiled. Formula companies tell you you need to boil it because that gets them out of the equation if your baby gets sick from drinking some thing in tapwater which is also highly unlikely if you’re using filtered tapwater. If you have a clean home in a city with clean drinking water you can probably use any kind of filtered tap water. I just used filtered tapwater. I premixed my daughters formula in a dr browns formula pitcher and prefilled bottles. Then warmed as needed.
Yes! We used to make a pitcher of formula and either prefill a bunch of bottles or just pour what was needed at the time . This was a huge timesaver, we would wash all the bottles at the end of the day and make a new pitcher/ batch at night for the next day 🙂
You DO need to boil any water that you’re making powdered formula with, the powdered formula is not sterile & because of this can contain bacteria. The water needs to be no less than 158° F when mixed with the powder in order to kill any bacteria that may be in the powder.

Man our NICU only uses the regular term formula that’s ready made but our specialty formulas like for enfacare, gentlease, nutramigen, etc are only powder. I think the stock in my island has mostly powder and not a lot of people can afford ready made 😭 so instead we just use powder and water from water bottles or nursery cause that’s really all we have
We use distilled water for our baby and put it in our Baby Brezza- it’s kinda like a keurig for formula. It makes a bottle in seconds- heats it and mixes it perfectly. It has saved my sanity- being a new, first time mom. It has saved so much time and I don’t have to measure or think about anything for middle of the night feedings. Definitely look into it if you haven’t seen or heard of them before. Love you’re family so much- you’re doing great momma!
Tortilla talk question: You’ve talked about how Erik prefers to keep his life as private from the internet as possible, so since he’s warmed up a bit with the podcast and being apart of that aspect of your life etc, how has it been deciding to include your kids/family in the vlogs? Is it a difficult thing to navigate? Your vlogs have kept me company in such trying times these past few years - Sending love! 💞
I have always used the water jugs labeled "Nursery Water" they are usually in the same aisle with the formula usually about a $1 a gallon. I have talked to my pediatrician about this and this is what she recommended and no boiling is needed. Also, I recommend a formula pitcher only make enough for what you would use in a day since formula can't sit in the fridge for more than 24 hours but it was a game changer for me. I did have to warm it, but shaking the formula (all the bubbles) made my son's gassy and fussy so having it premixed definitely helped. Don't know if that helps but it's whats worked for me. You are great mom and whatever you figure out will be great for you! Thanks for helping me get through the past two years! 💜

Hi Colleen - I majored in biochem and worked in a chemistry lab for several years. I don't know about the specifics of boiling water for babies, but I would recommend NOT giving them deionized water. This is very different from distilled water. Deionized water is typically used in industrial, medical, or scientific settings where it is critical to have a non-reactive water, so its ions have been removed, but it is very corrosive and can damage soft-tissue and teeth when taken in large quantities over time.
They sell deionized water with minerals added back specifically for babies. I’m not sure what she is using, but they sell it in gallon jugs near the formula at some grocery stores.
Formula mama here 🙋🏼♀️ 1. Purified drinking water or distilled water both work for formula without boiling it 2. We got a water dispenser that had a baby bottle setting that would dispense water at the perfect temp instantly, so you don’t have to wait several minutes for the bottle to heat up. 3. Get a couple of bottle dishwasher baskets to wash all the bottle parts in. It still takes a little bit of time to take the bottles apart and put them in the basket, but wayyy less than hand washing. Just put them in the top rack of your dishwater and run it on the sanitizing cycle if your dishwasher has that. 😊
I’m a NICU nurse, If you go down the baby aisle at the store they have special distilled baby water in gallons that are totally safe for bottle feedings. You probably could even get it online with instacart or online services like that.As far as making sure the bottle is the right temp just throw the mixed bottle in a bottle warmer for 30-45 seconds and squirt some on your wrist to see if it’s not too hot or cold your good mama. Anything that you have been doing is wonderful!Much love
Colleen never call yourself a bad mom! You go above and beyond for all three of your kids and the love you have for them is felt through these videos.. you’re an amazing mother and person ❤️
We bottle fed our daughter and we just used filtered water. But, girl get the Baby Brezza. It 👏🏽 will 👏🏽 change 👏🏽 your 👏🏽 life 👏🏽 no heating, no measuring, and it fills a bottle in 6 seconds! Update: not sure there is a lawsuit or was with baby brezza, we used it almost 3 years ago. If they have just the warm water dispenser, that is also life changing. Our daughter always had the perfect bottle.
Be careful because many people have complained about it not using a full scoop per serving. Babies won’t be getting the right amount of calories/still be hungry. I recommend research and there are a lot of reviews on TikTok.
Yes! But I've heard bad reviews. But there is a brezza that is just the water. It keeps the water at the perfect temp for babies 24/7. You have to add the formula yourself but in my opinion even just having the water already warmed helps so much!
As a nanny who has seen a far share of babies over the course of almost a decade, the baby breeza is one of my FAVORITE products. Out of all the different families I have worked with, it’s my favorite gadget. I haven’t heard about the improper measuring, and would definitely check that out. But outside of it, favorite product!
The Baby Brezza was glorious for me. It’s basically a baby keurig I filled it each evening with nursery water and dispenses the correct amount of formula into bottle-temp water. You just press a button, it fills the bottle, you add the lid, and shake to mix. It made those night feedings (and day feedings, honestly) so much easier for me. Of course, like everything, not every mom will like every product, but I loved it. Just an option to look into. 💜
Love our baby brezza too! I can only assume with two babies would be helpful but I always give a disclaimer to buy an extra funnel and the monthly maintenance is a pain.
Yes! It was a huge game changer for us, too. Until we discovered mold on the inside of the machine from a water leak, and it was a piece you couldn’t take apart so we had to throw it out. Super scary and disappointing!
She says "both babies are asleep so you know what that means?!" I immediately said COOKIES! And then she said she was washing bottles. I almost cried. AND THEN SHE SAID COOKIES! Yay!! So glad to see Colleen in her natural element. [=
at target they have a brand of "nursery water" that comes in a milk gallon-shaped jug, and it's the right kind of distilled water for mixing formula. i'm pretty sure it has a purple label! also with the formula, it' kind of similar to how everything else dissolves into water, the warmer it is the easier it dissolves (causes the molecules to move faster and are more spread out) but it does not have to be warmed beforehand for it to mix. either way is fine and works! with that kind of small stuff, it goes back to what you were saying in one of the other vlogs "fed is best". there is no perfect one way to do formula, some people have slightly different routines because it works better for them and for their families, but that doesn't mean that doing it a bit differently is bad or wrong. sending so much love to you and your family
I'd don't love this option because it contains fluoride in it. If you look up the benefits of fluoride it really has no reason to be put in "baby water." This is just my opinion and I totally agree fed is best and you do whatever it is you want for your babies 💛
Hi Colleen! I’m a Midwife in the UK - we recommend not using bottled water as the minerals etc are too hard on the babies stomach. We recommend using tap water and boiling it every time you make up a bottle as this will kill the bacteria that will be in the powdered formula (which also reduces the risk of the babies having tummy ache!) hope this helps :)
Most bottled waters do have added minerals even if they do not explicitly label it unfortunately. In addition, we recommend not using it as bottled water isn’t sterile and also includes too much salt & sulphate.

Almost nothing is obvious when it comes to being a mom. You are doing amazing, and it’s important to ask questions when you have them. You have a beautiful family!
No question is ever not valid when it comes to your children Colleen - we've all been there and have more than likely asked the same things ! From the current comments it appears that nursery water is the way to go ! Just know that you're doing an awesome job and it's time to use whatever is easiest plus safest now that they're thriving! You know your children better than anyone else - whatever you do will be right for them and for you.
Flynn’s giggle is life! His laugh is so small, yet the most joyous thing on the planet. It makes me smile and laugh, except my laugh sound like a dying donkey! 😂❤️
Gerber makes a water just for babies that I have used for my son without boiling. Parenting is hard…questions you have are often questions I have. I’m thankful you ask them and we can all survive motherhood together. You are doing an awesome job Mama!!
The grocery store will usually have water gallons specifically for babies. It's just distilled water that has fluoride added. I've found that formula mixes in just fine with room temp water. I would just suggest adding the formula to the bottle first, then the water. That way the powder doesn't get stuck in the nipple. Hope this helps!
I’m not a mother so I don’t really know so sorry if this is wrong but if you put the formula before the water won’t it stick to the bottom of the bottle?
If you squeeze the nipple for the initial shake then just plug the top and shake formula won’t get stuck in the nipple. OR you could just “stir” the water and formula side to side then shake plugging the nipple
The smile on your face and your twirls in the kitchen while talking made me smile. 😊 So good to see how far you've come from those heart breaking NICU days. 🥰 Don't forget to take time to be proud of yourself! SelfLove is SO important!!! Especially for Mama Warriors! 🦸♀️
They do!! All 3 of them look alike. I loved the shot that showed Colleen and the 3 kids together! So sweet! It's great to see Colleen laughing again! 😃
I find it so interesting how it looks like Maisy has such as big personality and is almost always smiling while West is a chill baby, it’s just so interesting and exciting how they have already started developing personalities and that we can tell them apart distinctly now
As a formula mama, I would buy specialty purified “baby water” and use that. I never boiled the water. I got thr gallons of water for like $1 at Walmart by the formula in the same isle!
I love the candid moments when Flynn films himself and you. Thank you for keeping those in your vlogs and enjoying those moments with your kiddos. Growing up, my mom never wanted to be in photos or videos due to poor body image, so seeing you enjoy these moments makes my heart happy.
TORTILLA TALK QUESTION: In one of the past few vlogs, I heard you singing the hug song that you asked Parker to ‘write’ when he was 3. Since Flynn is 3 now I was wondering if you were planning on having him ‘write’ a song for you and Eric to compose? I think it is such a cute thing you did with your niece and nephews and wanted to know if you were planning to continue it with your own kids! I love your videos and sweet family!!
Not a mom but an ex Target employee, and they sell gallon jugs of “Baby Water” which I assume to be the correct water to use for formula... Hope that helps! ❤️
I used bottled water in the beginning but then my husband installed a four stage led filter on our sink and I use the spout to that now! I would highly suggest a good filter, it gives you some peace of mind! Your doing great mama 😊
Combo-feeding mom here! I use Bobbie formula too! I use a water filter pitcher (clearly filtered brand but guessing any would be fine) - I fill my bottle with water from the pitcher, microwave just the water for 20 seconds, but then add the formula powder & shake. Easy, quick, affordable! (I didn’t want to get another fancy machine that we might not use a ton). This has worked well for us for over 6 months now. You can also prep a pitcher of formula at once for 24 hours and keep it in your fridge, but requires warming the bottle before serving with a bottle warmer or in a mug of warm water (what we do) which takes a little longer when baby is hungry now. I BF exclusively 4 months before combo feeding and totally agree with the convenience of BF, which is why I like the microwave water then add powder method, way faster than waiting for the bottle to warm! Also a little note to say if your babies will take cold or room temperature formula, that’s totally allowed too - some babies actually prefer it. Heating is just often what babies are used to. I was super intimidated when we started introducing formula, it feels so overwhelming at first, but once you get your system it’s no biggie. 😉
I’m a mom of 4 grown kids. All of mine wound up being formula fed. After going to a restaurant with my son as an infant and it being such a hassle to warm the water for formula, I started using room temp purified water to mix the formula. Never had to warm another bottle after that for any of my babies and I could mix a bottle anywhere, even in line at Disneyland 😊
@@genevievehart2813 I know! I was just rewatching her pregnancy announcement to the family and his vocabulary has grown so much. 🥺 Love getting to see all their milestones!
Hi Colleen! I’m not a mom, so I won’t comment on the bottled water situation. I just wanted to say that I think you’re a great mom and you shouldn’t be embarrassed about anything concerning the health and well-being of your babies. Sending you and your family so much love 💜
I was going to say the same thing. She cares so much for her babies that she is stressing over which water to use. I love that about her and she shouldn't be embarrassed about just wanting the right thing for her babies that she obviously loves so much. 💗
Lately I’ve been struggling with a lot of depressed feelings. I haven’t been able to find a therapist, but your videos always make my day. Thank you for sharing with us you always make me feel better.
Absolutely love the thumbnail and seeing you surrounded by your adorable kids! I don’t use formula but I grew up in a daycare and no parent ever asked my mom to boil or use a specific type of water. I know that doesn’t mean that is correct but a whole lot of kids in like 30 years of that daycare were all fine. Also, don’t be embarrassed- you are clearly just an amazing mom looking out fir whats best for those sweet babies!
I had seen the same things online. We asked the pediatrician and were told tap water is perfectly fine! We just use cold water, put formula in and then heat it with a bottle warmer. Been doing it for 5 months and baby boy is doing great!
Tortilla talk question: I just got recommended your MY FAMILY music video. It would be so much fun to see an updated version. Do you consider a remake with all the new additions to the family?
we just used the filtered water from the fridge! I think as long as it’s filtered in some way it’s good to go- also, the baby brezza makes formula SO much easier!
All distilled water can be used without boiling. Not all “bottled” water can like spring water needs to be boiled. so as long as you stick to distilled you are fine. and yes formula does mix easier when the water is warm, and ready for a feeding.
Hey Colleen, my friend always boils tab water and puts it into a thermos jug. So she has some clean and hot water on demand, whenever her baby is hungry. I really admire the way you try to stay positive and see the fun in this overwhelming chaos that comes with three small children. Greetings from Germany!
When I’ve nannied babies I would fill up all of the bottles for the day 3/4 full with boiled water in the morning and then let them cool on the counter, when it’s time to make/give the bottle add the last 1/4 of boiling water and then add the formula powder. That way the bottle is perfect temperature and safe to drink! Definitely get an electric kettle to make it easier, apparently they’re not a thing in the US haha
I would say every store here with kitchen stuff sells electric kettles but not every household has one nor knows what one is...people here tend to use microwaves to heat water for tea, or actual teapots. I know on British cruises the ships will often put electric kettles in every room instead of a coffee maker, which makes sense but would just never think of that. But I love my electric kettle, I want a whole pot of tea not just a cup. Haven't used it for formula tho.. I would go with Nursery Water and a Brezza.
They have “baby water” which to my knowledge is basically just distilled water. If you’re afraid to use other waters I would just go to the baby isle or look for the label (it’s usually pink and has a baby on it.) Also there are some little cages you can put the bottle nipples and attachments in there as well as use the top rack to put the bottles and the long little tube that goes into the dr brown bottles they are dishwasher safe. If your dish washer has the option I’d use the sanitizing option. It may be hard to get into the habit but Im a nanny and my Nanny fam uses these bottles with all their kids and when I feel overwhelmed I just rinse the bottle immediately, have the little cage for the dishwasher on the counter and twice a day (nap time and end of day) I rinse the bottles and put them in then run it at the end of the night so the parents start the night/ day with enough bottles until I come back. It really helps to do this because then everyone at your house knows how you wash the bottles and it’s easier to rinse and throw the bottles in the washer than to fully wash a bottle after feeding the babies. Hope this helps!!
TTQ: how has your dermatillomania/mental health been since having the twins? i know that you’ve been struggling with postpartum depression, but how has your mental health and skin-picking been since the twins have been here? love you so much colleen, you’ve truly saved me this past year. thank you 💕
BOTH my boys were formula fed and i used purified and/or distilled water. and i NEVER ever boiled it! i bought them buy the gallon jug... and my pediatrician said it was A-OKAY! also, i very rarely warmed the bottles, i just left the water jugs out in room temperature and never had a problem. My boys are now 13 and 8 and doing incredible!
From what I know you can use bottled water that’s distilled, and you only really need to boil tap water if your area doesn’t have clean water. I’m pretty sure you can even use fridge water if I’m not mistaken. Also a lot of stores sell “baby water” which I’ve heard is pretty much the best. Pour it straight into the bottle, add the formula then warm it
Colleen imitating the twins the twins' cry made me laugh out loud. It is really accurate to two very prominent types of baby cries. These vlogs literally warm my heart so much and help me feel like I'm not alone in my struggles. Thank you for everything you do and for being so transparent with us! Love you, Colleen! ❤
I was a nanny for 10+ years and worked with 4 families where I had to bottle feed w/ formula. Some parents used filtered water, some used tap water, and one family would boil a bunch of water and put it in a pitcher once it cooled down and kept it in the fridge. That one took up the most time 😅 But from my experience (as a nanny), filtered water was easiest and the parents got the okay from their doctor.
Infant daycare worker here: All of our parents use formula and bring jugs of water that are sold specifically to be used for formula. We do not boil the water nor are we required too. We also do not heat the water up before putting the formula in, but some babies prefer their bottles warm so for some we will heat up a cup of water (by putting it in the microwave) and then put the mixed formula bottle in the cup to warm. I just heard about this boiling water thing, and I’ve worked with children for over 6 years so I think it is a new method. Idk if this helps or not 😬 Also: I choked on my food when Colleen said “Anus mouth,” and then acted like that was a normal term. 😂😂
Tortilla talk question: When you have a hard day and film the moment where you're talking with us and having a heart to heart, do you preface Kory about the footage? How does he process/handle seeing you having a hard moment?
The water has to be boiled because that makes it sterile. At the start of the day you can put the boiled water in the bottles and keep them in the fridge. Then when the babies are hungry you add the powder and warm the bottles in a jug of hot water. The best hack I have is at the start of each day half fill each bottle with boiled water and keep them in the fridge, then when the babies are hungry you add the other half with hot boiled water and then the formula - this makes the bottle the perfect temperate and ready for baby!
@@alphabrenna Do you mean filtered water? because that is not distilled. distilled water is purified of minerals. Normal tap water boiled is cheaper and less wasteful by the way for anyone who does not wish to buy bottles of water
Tortilla Talk Question: Do you feel back to "normal" and more yourself now that youre not pregnant anymore? I remember lots of videos of you saying you don't feel like you anymore, you just feel trapped in someone else's body and you were scared you might feel that way forever. You do seem much happier and not as stressed, even tho having two babies at the same time is still stressful. Also how is this time around with two babies at the same time compared to when Flynn was a newborn? Love you Colleen, you're such an amazing mom ❤️🤍❤️🤍
You can just purchase distilled water 😊 it usually comes in a gallon size and says distilled water right in the label. And you can pop the water in the microwave for a certain amount of time(you’ll eventually figure out the perfecting timing for perfect temp). Then mix the formula in the warmed water. I’d microwave the water in a glass or porcelain mug, plastic can leach chemicals when they get heated that way. Eventually your babes may not even care if the bottle is warm, they’ll just want the bottle.
I boiled tapwater, enough for ~24hours, filled the clean and sterilised bottles, kept them in the fridge. When I needed a bottle, I just warmed the bottle in the microwave and then added formula. I also measured out portions of formula in a sectiond container. Made it super easy, like maybe 1,5 minutes from getting the bottle out the fridge, until I was ready to feed my daughter. Also, from 4 months (non-premie baby), I was told I could just use straight tap water, but I'm from DK and we have pretty clean tap water, maybe that's different other places 🤷♀️..
I did this too. Boiled water is good for 24hours in a sterilised bottle. I purely formula fed my little one and occasionally used the cartons when out and about
tortilla talk question: since the twins are a little older, have you noticed them looking any more alike? i was watching one of your volgs the other day and kinda saw some similarities. love you! ❤
Tortilla Talk: I was voting for the kids choice awards for fun and I was surprised and delighted to see your name!! I voted and was wondering if you knew you were nominated again? Love you💗
I have only bottle fed my baby and I have a bottle machine that makes everything so much easier. It gives you the perfect temperature for feeding straight away.
If you start formula with the twins, I highly recommend purchasing the baby brezza. It warms the formula and measures it correctly and makes sure it’s perfect. It is more pricy but it’s perfect.
Tortilla Talk: could we have an update on the twins’ sizes/weights? Maisy looks like she’s catching up to Wesley! Also Maisy looks sooo much like Flynn!! When they were first born I thought Wes looked more like Flynn but now I think Maisy Jo does :)

@@kathyrodriguez458 I’ve heard the same thing. Once you’ve made a few bottles you can do it in your sleep, which you usually do. Lol
😀😀😀
The Baby Brezza was glorious for me. It’s basically a baby keurig I filled it each evening with nursery water and dispenses the correct amount of formula into bottle-temp water. You just press a button, it fills the bottle, you add the lid, and shake to mix. It made those night feedings (and day feedings, honestly) so much easier for me.
Of course, like everything, not every mom will like every product, but I loved it. Just an option to look into. 💜
My sis is thinking about getting this for baby #2 to make her life easier
We have this Maschine too. We love it!
I want the baby brezza and I don't even have kids
She says "both babies are asleep so you know what that means?!" I immediately said COOKIES! And then she said she was washing bottles. I almost cried. AND THEN SHE SAID COOKIES! Yay!! So glad to see Colleen in her natural element. [=
That's what I thought
same!
Same 🤣
Same! 😅
at target they have a brand of "nursery water" that comes in a milk gallon-shaped jug, and it's the right kind of distilled water for mixing formula. i'm pretty sure it has a purple label! also with the formula, it' kind of similar to how everything else dissolves into water, the warmer it is the easier it dissolves (causes the molecules to move faster and are more spread out) but it does not have to be warmed beforehand for it to mix. either way is fine and works! with that kind of small stuff, it goes back to what you were saying in one of the other vlogs "fed is best". there is no perfect one way to do formula, some people have slightly different routines because it works better for them and for their families, but that doesn't mean that doing it a bit differently is bad or wrong. sending so much love to you and your family
Yes I second this I used the same target jugs of water from the baby section
Even better if you get the purple label one! (fluoride free)
Yep! I remember seeing all the different color labeled water for specific uses in the baby section when I worked at Target. Very helpful color coding.
Yes
I'd don't love this option because it contains fluoride in it. If you look up the benefits of fluoride it really has no reason to be put in "baby water." This is just my opinion and I totally agree fed is best and you do whatever it is you want for your babies 💛
Hi Colleen! I’m a Midwife in the UK - we recommend not using bottled water as the minerals etc are too hard on the babies stomach. We recommend using tap water and boiling it every time you make up a bottle as this will kill the bacteria that will be in the powdered formula (which also reduces the risk of the babies having tummy ache!) hope this helps :)
depends on the brand, not all bottled water has added minerals
Most bottled waters do have added minerals even if they do not explicitly label it unfortunately. In addition, we recommend not using it as bottled water isn’t sterile and also includes too much salt & sulphate.

In usa u dnt have to boil tap water if u have city water
Almost nothing is obvious when it comes to being a mom. You are doing amazing, and it’s important to ask questions when you have them. You have a beautiful family!
No question is ever not valid when it comes to your children Colleen - we've all been there and have more than likely asked the same things ! From the current comments it appears that nursery water is the way to go ! Just know that you're doing an awesome job and it's time to use whatever is easiest plus safest now that they're thriving! You know your children better than anyone else - whatever you do will be right for them and for you.
The image of you and the kiddies; Flynn, Wesley and Maisie all laid out on the floor was just adorable. Ohmydays. SO CUTE.
Flynn’s giggle is life! His laugh is so small, yet the most joyous thing on the planet. It makes me smile and laugh, except my laugh sound like a dying donkey! 😂❤️
🤣 yeah I love Flynn's laugh 🥰
I'm on Colleen's side with the chapstick argument lol! The babies are getting cuter and cuter! Loved the mini mukbang
Flynn’s vlog branding is coming along nicely. “Hi goofiieeeeesss” 😂
Hope this helps!
noooo not fluoride 😭
You have to put the water in first so the water measurement is accurate
I’m not a mother so I don’t really know so sorry if this is wrong but if you put the formula before the water won’t it stick to the bottom of the bottle?
unless you premature the water, formula shouldn't be added first. it effects the concentration of the formula.
Omg the chapstick part with erik
Colleen: “Why does your hand suddenly not work?”😂😂
Girl don’t forget to take self care time. You are always there for everyone.
I feel like her FOMO is through the roof rn especially since she's off her adhd medication
Jesus loves you all🤍
The pain on Eriks face trying to put lip balm on “normally” 😂😂
The twins are starting to look more and more alike. Such cute little beans!
They really are!
@Charlotte R exactly!
They’re so cute 🥰
i had the same thought!!
They do!! All 3 of them look alike. I loved the shot that showed Colleen and the 3 kids together! So sweet!
It's great to see Colleen laughing again! 😃
I find it so interesting how it looks like Maisy has such as big personality and is almost always smiling while West is a chill baby, it’s just so interesting and exciting how they have already started developing personalities and that we can tell them apart distinctly now
I like how happy Flynn is, he loves to laugh!
Awww Flynn’s smile is so adorable 🥰 makes heart ♥️ melt with joy
TORTILLA TALK QUESTION: In one of the past few vlogs, I heard you singing the hug song that you asked Parker to ‘write’ when he was 3. Since Flynn is 3 now I was wondering if you were planning on having him ‘write’ a song for you and Eric to compose? I think it is such a cute thing you did with your niece and nephews and wanted to know if you were planning to continue it with your own kids! I love your videos and sweet family!!
great idea!!
Good question ❤️
Not a mom but an ex Target employee, and they sell gallon jugs of “Baby Water” which I assume to be the correct water to use for formula... Hope that helps! ❤️
Also a Target worker who works in the baby department. Baby water or nursery water can be used without boiling for formula.
Same.
That is what I think they use in daycares to I could be wrong
Baby water is usually just more expensive distilled water.
@@courtney3494 I think it’s distilled water with fluoride which I think they did studies that too much fluoride isn’t good for babies.
Flynn’s little laughs are so stinking cute 🥰
Tortilla talk question: What does Flynn know about being on the internet? Does he realize there are so many people who already know him?
I used bottled water in the beginning but then my husband installed a four stage led filter on our sink and I use the spout to that now! I would highly suggest a good filter, it gives you some peace of mind! Your doing great mama 😊
They are starting to look so so so much more alike. I love it!! 🤍
Tortilla talk question: what are you most excited for when it comes to raising a little girl for the first time?
Doing her hair lol
Doing cute little mom and daughter dates 😊
@@daisystar25970 lmao
i am asking the same exact thing
@@daisystar25970 mini Miranda!!! 😂
Omg how exciting!! These little moments are going to be the memories you hold on to ☺️💜💜
You here too omg
ORTULLA TALK QUESTION. Will you ever make a new my family video now that the twins and teddy are born?
I have seen a lot of moms do this as well and it work really well!
This is what I did too! Just room temp water, anything else was too much ;)
+
Same here
Room temp water is so much easier! We did it with all 7 of our kids and I can't imagine getting up to heat bottles.
I can’t believe how much these babies are growing, even seeing Flynn from a year ago compared to now 🥺 my heart. You have the best wittle family! ❤️
The other day I watched the first quarantine vlog and almost passed out when I saw Flynn
@@genevievehart2813 I know! I was just rewatching her pregnancy announcement to the family and his vocabulary has grown so much. 🥺 Love getting to see all their milestones!
@June Harsh I am pretty sure she did that on purpose for an emotional effect.
Flynn’s laugh is EVERYTHING! 😃❤️
I feel like the babies are looking so much more similar the older they get!💗
Lately I’ve been struggling with a lot of depressed feelings.
Flynn's laugh is so precious, it lightens my mood every time I hear it!
That is a wonderful suggestion! 💗 And I wanted to let you know that we call it tap water. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend.
I’m a mom of four but the youngest is 15…….I would have absolutely loved knowing that hack back in the day!! What a fantastic idea to share! 👍🏼😊🦋
When I first read this, I thought you had said TUB water. I was shocked for half a second 😂
I have an electric kettle and I love it! Heat's 8 cups of water in about a minute.
Flyyns laugh is so adorable
They have “baby water” which to my knowledge is basically just distilled water. If you’re afraid to use other waters I would just go to the baby isle or look for the label (it’s usually pink and has a baby on it.)
Also there are some little cages you can put the bottle nipples and attachments in there as well as use the top rack to put the bottles and the long little tube that goes into the dr brown bottles they are dishwasher safe. Hope this helps!!
distilled water and fluoride I think. I was curious and read the label one day.
Yes!! That's the water the families used when I was a nanny
Pour it straight into the bottle, add the formula then warm it
Love Flynn’s laugh -pure joy 😁🤩🥰💜
When Colleen was tasting the fried rice tho 😂 Like a food critic 😅 And the way you mimic Wesley makes my day 😁
ughhh them laying down all together was so cuteee!!! I can’t believe all those little humans came out of her🥺🥺🥺
Aww 🥰 sweet babies I love them all 3 sooo much!! You have the most amazing family!
You are such a sweet mama! I loved the clip of all of you giggling and Wesley eating your hair.
Tortilla talks: If each of your kids was a character from a musical, what character would they be and why?
Ilysm from the uk 🇬🇧
Colleen imitating the twins the twins' cry made me laugh out loud. It is really accurate to two very prominent types of baby cries. These vlogs literally warm my heart so much and help me feel like I'm not alone in my struggles. Thank you for everything you do and for being so transparent with us! Love you, Colleen! ❤
Tortilla talk question: I remember you doing monthly/bi-monthly updates for Flynn. Will you be doing updates for the twins?
i love when colleen takes us in the bathroom. the interior looks gorgeous
I litterally love the updates on the twins, they make me so happy. 😊
I was a nanny for 10+ years and worked with 4 families where I had to bottle feed w/ formula. Some parents used filtered water, some used tap water, and one family would boil a bunch of water and put it in a pitcher once it cooled down and kept it in the fridge. That one took up the most time 😅
But from my experience (as a nanny), filtered water was easiest and the parents got the okay from their doctor.
Tortilla talk question : have you done a Miranda impression with the twins yet? If so did they laugh and smile?
Congrats to Wesley on rolling over! That's exciting.
I love that flynn called us (the viewers) goofies 😂 that’s so cute
Infant daycare worker here:
All of our parents use formula and bring jugs of water that are sold specifically to be used for formula. Idk if this helps or not 😬
Also: I choked on my food when Colleen said “Anus mouth,” and then acted like that was a normal term. 😂😂
You need to have Kory do the chapstick thing. There's not a gay man in the world who would do it the way Erik does. :)
Can't wait to see you try out all the great tips you're getting on making bottles!!
Tortilla talk question: When you have a hard day and film the moment where you're talking with us and having a heart to heart, do you preface Kory about the footage? How does he process/handle seeing you having a hard moment?
OH MY GOODNESS! Tortilla talk question: Do you think that your kids will be as close with their cousins as they are now? Love you lot-Kalina
Yay!!! So excited he rolled over so excited so adorable Wesley!
Yess this!
Also there are jugs of water made specifically for formula babies called nursery water! makes it much easier and you can buy many at once
Distilled water in a jug is fine. Don’t need to boil it too.
@@alphabrenna I’m just talking about normal tap water, that’s all
@@alphabrenna Do you mean filtered water? because that is not distilled. distilled water is purified of minerals.
Normal tap water boiled is cheaper and less wasteful by the way for anyone who does not wish to buy bottles of water
I had a really rough few days and this vlog really really helped me feel better. Thank you for everything you do. ❤️
10 seconds in and i'm already dying, Kory you are an international treasure
Tortilla Talk Question:
Do you feel back to "normal" and more yourself now that youre not pregnant anymore?
SO so Excited for you be back on stage and everything again yay! You will be great always 🥰
It is so amazing to see them grow
Ya
I purely formula fed my little one and occasionally used the cartons when out and about
I cant explain how much I love Flynn 😭😭😭😂😂😂🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
tortilla talk question: since the twins are a little older, have you noticed them looking any more alike? i was watching one of your volgs the other day and kinda saw some similarities. love you! ❤
I think they look SO much alike now!
I don’t think they look alike almost at all come on 8:34 the eyes, the NOSE, the mouth, face shape, so different!
I think Colleen was planning on posting a twin update video soon
Distilled water is sold in big jugs. You can use those for sure.
A Colleen vlog on the weekend ?! My whole day just got better 💕💕💕
I really like how you are so concerned about the water you put in with the formula! That means you really care and you want the best for your babies. You are an amazing mom!!!!!!!
