I was killing myself laughing! I'm going to follow rule #1; but will not use MS paint (bleh!). I openly acknowledge being a brush snob, but if I'm honest it extends to my paints, and graphics programs too. That being said, I agree most would be best outsourcing their book covers. Anyone can tell you whether they like a painting. Very few could tell you what makes that painting's composition strong, which is artist speak for: traps the viewer's eye and holds it. Then you have to scale everything down so when it's an ity-bity thumbnail it's still legible and looks good! I love Joe's POV part, but probably won't be writing in 5th person or future tense 😆 I would be tempted to try the latter, but I don't think there's enough vocabulary in that tense to avoid sounding like a Dr Seuss book?
Oh don't talk to me about thesaurus-replacement - I had to edit a book once and it took me ages to work out why the author was using words that were slightly off, didn't quite mean what was needed in the context. Finally dawned on me ... they were using Word's synonym suggestions without understanding the actual meanings of the suggestions. Horrible.
Because we record on Thursdays, and today is a holiday here in the US, we had to record two in one day. We know from experience that two full-length episodes in a row don't work out well for us, so we did a short one rather than skipping the week entirely.
You are by far my favourite RUclips channel!! Love you guys!! Another awesome talk 🤗💙
I'm convinced, Joe. I'm going to try that 5th person POV seriously. 🤣
Fun episode-perfect!
Love the easy-going super sarcastic vibe to this episode
Fifth Person Past Tense!!! OMG, I was crying...
“I heard from a guy who said a thing” - joe is always the funniest

Why is it short :(
