The carbon rotors $$$$$$$$
Dude...plus I can watch Simon showcase these jewelry like parts everyday of the week. MotoGP bikes are flat out beautiful.
That brembo caliper is probably much expensive than my motorcycle. Hahaha 😍
@@gaborprofesszor it was around 40k myr in Malaysia. Can buy a car with that.
The pad can buy 2 of my motorbike
I love Simon Crafar, he is such a good communicator and a great guy
Simon Crafar is the best of MotoGP Technical!

Love these videos with Simon, with his racing background he knows so much from both a riders point of view and from the technical side too 👏
Thanks for mentioning Malaysia in Humid Condition on Calipers..
Absolutely amazing SC. Best tech talks ever in the scene
Love to watch Simon. What a great guy! A gift to motorsport fans! Nice work mate!
Thank you for continuing Tech Talks, Simon! Could you talk about traction control and also engine breaking in MotoGP, in future Tech Talks, please? Cheers from Portugal!
Simon is the best at taking stuff at the highest level and breaking it down to something easily understood at the lowest level. Keep up the tech segments, as I thoroughly enjoy them.
In 2022 I'm loving Simon's tech talk. What an incredible insight to MotoGP bikes👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Simon, please continue to make such. Thank you!
That was very informative! Great to learn about this from someone so intimately familiar with the tech. Thanks Simon!
I raced MX and now ride street bikes....brakes are such a huge componet to any bike....you can only go as fast as you can stop.....for my first street bike high end brakes were a must.....
Suspension and brakes are so important
Running Stylema brembos and about as good as you can get for street......already saved my ass few times avoiding accidents.....
Really interesting. More of these technical docus would be wonderful. Nice to have you back Simon,we have missed you.
This was absolutely fascinating! Something which sounds so simple as stopping can be this complex and have so many problems to solve. I never knew it expected these challenges. I learned a lot and hope for more of these!
I'm subscribed and hitting notification!
Love the new stopwatch quir, great show Simon
Thanks very much, very interesting explanations about the parts that push off the brake pads from the disc. I discover that thanks again.👍👍
8:00 I thought he said "Tiktok" LOL 😂
Coz it's his stupid kiwi accent.
Awesome, he should have more input during the race. Awesome info
Thank,s Simon, great to hear the master at work, you make these complex systems much easier to understand.
# Tech Talk are my favorite videos on RUclips! Please continue to make them on a more regular basis. Simon Crafar is a Master in explaining these things!
These Tech Talks are so informative. Simon is a great presenter and easily breaks down advanced tech into ways that us non-motor people can understand. Keep 'em coming Simon!

These videos really help explain things so people can understand the importance of what keeps they’re bike on the road and out of the ditch!👍
Great stuff
These kind of technical insights into motorbike racing is absolutely wonderful. I love those calipers, one billion pounds each. The description was very detailed, well done. Now let us know more about the engine, the electronics, the gear box, the clutch, cameras!
Very interesting to watch, looking forward to more of this
Love these tech talk videos. Great job!!
This talk was great! Keep them coming Simon.

Glad you enjoy it!
Great information technology brake for MotoGP.. excellent..
Great, thank you Simon!
Very informative 👏 👌 👍. Please continue educating us for the passion we have
Waiting for this from so many months.
Simon since you were a Ohlins tech would it be possible to do a video on why or what is the difference, problem, geometry or what in the Moto GP Honda front suspension and what seems to be everyone else's. Marc can make it work but few others if any. Love the tech videos thanks.
Love it, please keep up the tech talks.
thanks Simon! these tech talks are great..
I love this dude! True tech head and true gentleman!
I need this brake system to my scooter🤣🤣🤣
You would just fly off the bike :)
You push your brake lever and your scooter will fly back in time to the past
In all seriousness and I know none of this is serious we could never get these brakes up to temp and we would have worse brakes than steel.
@@TheSubieFan Yeah indeed. It's something i struggle getting my friends to understand when they want the "racing brake pads" for road use. It's to a lesser extent very similar to this
Awesome explanation .. love it !!
I love these videos, never stop please ❤️
Love the techtalk videos!
Great video, really informative. I met Simon at Cartagena when he was coaching (Motovudu) and can honestly say he is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Top fella
Love the content.
loved this, and my god those brake calipers are a work of art
Another great lesson from Professor Crafar!!
Thanks for the insight
Excellent Simon, bravo!
Simon very well done. i am a retired aerospace engineer and you present things is a clear and concise manner. By the way have the MotoGP engineers ever considered switching to Skydrol? It is a phosphate ester hydraulic fluid that is non-hydroscopic, viscosity stable and fire proof, we used it on the Bombardier Challengers, Global Express and RJ series jets. It is used on most of the commercial / business jets presently flying. As a Ducati fan I'll say mention it to GG Dall'Igna first.
Learned a lot of interesting things, thanks 👍
Haha man the legend is on the paddock nice👏👍His fight with the great mick doohan in 98 was the best ever yet great 2 see him track side after all these years
Thanks, Simon, very informative👍
Really good one with Simon’s track experience . Maybe later on can cover technology using from moto3 / moto2 and also moto-e as well.
Great video Simon, thx
Another awesome explanation. Please keep it up
Great series!
Damn I love Simon, the very best consultant ever.
Awesome information. Braking so important in racing.
that was cool. love the calipers
👏👏👏 merci for this awesome explanation!! 🍻🍻
Magic 👍 thanks Simon
Brilliant, as always, Simon.
These tech talks are awesome.
Great explanation of motogp tech Simon !
Brilliant as always
loved it m8. great video. hydroscopic, water absorbent, it's why you always throw your extra brake fluid away (dont store it) after putting new fluid in
Amazing technology. This really puts in perspective why you don’t want them on a road car/bike but would absolutely benefit on a track.
Fantastic Simon
Waiting for it❤️
So, what have we learned today? Leaver movement is a bad thing! Simon is brilliant at explaining this stuff. I loved it.
This guy is brilliant. Everything makes sense after he's done explaining. He's the Richard Feynman of going fast on two wheels. Richard taught QED physics Simon teaches motorcycle physics. Same thing really :-) Go Simon!
Wonderful!
Very informative video.
I cannot seem to find another button where I can like this video again once more... Thanks for explaining Simon!
I could listen to Simon all day
Very interesting..excellent..yes a big nervous at first..but hey who wouldn't be..thank you very much for the video..Now l have a request..can you do any tech talk on racing sidecars. Wheel positioning dimensions, ie how far infront of the rear does the 3rd wheel need to be also steering ..👍👏👏👏
Thanks Simon.

Es algo emocionante y a la vez extraño, esperar la cuenta atrás...
That was excellent
Amazing stuff
