Thank you for a great video and making it look easy! I checked out Carolina Leg Co. as I'm in North Carolina, and they are only 11 miles from my house, a 22 minute drive! My wife wants a new dining table. I've already made here the Industrial cart coffee table and she loves it! Keep up the great work!

How do you clamp the table top boards when you get to the 3rd and more boards? We have a hard time getting them be flat because of this.

I am going to be attempting to do this project. One question when staining the table top di you stain both sides or just the top? I am thinking you want to stain the whole piece to protect the wood for longevity. And also got legs for a companion bench seat. Do you have plans for that?
Nice project! Any concern over wood movement with this design? I was taught not to screw in breadboard ends, but maybe it's not an issue unless subjected to changes in humidity.
Yes... for years we have had people tell us that this design won't hold up, but we have NEVER had a problem with it. Hope that helps! 😊

I have watched you guys build 2 different tables with bread board ends. Every other table builder never used pocket screws to attach the bread boards because pocket screws don't allow the field boards to contract and expand. Pocket screws can cause the field boards to crack and split. Have you ever have a failure because of pocket screw bread boards?
Never had that issue and we’ve built about 50 different table plans over the last 15 years. We don’t use glue between the planks or at the breadboards to allow for expansion and contraction.
@@shanty2chic That just shows that you don't understand wood movement. Gluing between the planks doesn't restrict movement. It would act the same as the hundreds of pocket screw you use to attach the planks to each other, except not as ugly. Wood moves across the width of the boards, so where you will have trouble is where you screwed the table top to the breadboard ends, thus restricting the possible expansion across the grain of the tabletop. Either not doing breadboard ends or properly attaching them with floating mortice and tenon will be much better.

Natural wood movement will likely split this top down the road.
I have the 720 and noticed that when trying to drill the pocket holes on the long edge of the aprons from 2x6 material that I ripped to 5" the bit would go through the top of the wood. I had to add a spacer under it to put the apron up to a point where the pocket holes were usable. Any idea what I am doing wrong or is this normal.
I looked for a specific lumber list for this build and cant find any. Can you please advise how many 2x6's you used?

What was the overall cost?
I've attempted this method for table tops a couple times and always run into problems because my boards twist or warp after I've brought them home. Or just can't find enough flat boards at the home center. Any suggestions?
We have heard the moisture content in boards makes the biggest difference where this is concerned. In Texas, we don't run into it very often. We have heard it suggested to get lumber from a local yard rather than the hardware store because the moisture content is typically much lower... Hope this helps!

Do not ever attach bread board end with pocket screws. It does not allow for wood movement. Same with attaching a table top to the skirt.

Very lovely table. For your next project wherever you glue there should be glue on the wood surfaces that are touching, just a thin coat will do...
