- So I finally made my wife a dining room table. She saw a similar one for around 1000 dollars. Made with similar materials. I thought we could do a little better. The table measures 30H"x36D"x54W. The table was made from 2x8, 4x4 and 2x4 construction. I used a Minwax polyurethane, stain and wood conditioner. Pocket hole screws and wood glue were used on most of the project.
Also a huge shout out to Philip DeFranco / sxephil for featuring one of my videos in his latest video. I cannot express my gratitude for this! He helped this channel in words I cannot explain! Хобби
This table arrived well packaged and on time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
Yes!!! The kid made my day. Thank you for keeping your little one in the video.
No small or big talk. Straight to business. I like your work and video.
Great video, and nice modern interpretation of a traditional design. Big kudos for getting the youngling involved.
GREAT! Job! You're little boy helping was great! I've been wanting to attempt something like this myself. My boyfriend just got me a great Kregg jig set for Christmas & I can't wait to use it!
Very nice. I especially liked the simple half-lap method that you used for joining the two cross members to the upright post. Also, good job applying wood conditioner before you stained it. Turned out beautiful.
Beautiful! I think it's very special that you share what you're doing with your daughter!
LOL, his name is Nolan
I love it!!! Best part is your young son helping!!👍🏻
Thanks so much for posting this. Was looking for a good rustic table that was a good size. Followed what you did here and Wife and family loves it. Great easy to follow vid so even a novice woodworker like me could pull off good results.
I really like the easy and simple half-lap method of joining the pedestal upright to the top and bottom cross members. Good job. Looks vice.
Simple design, nothing fancy but looks substantial and perfect for any part of the house A great piece of work that even a novice DIY'er should be able to tackle.
I do love how well you handled the constructive criticism. Every project is a lesson learned. I look at every one of mine days, sometimes weeks later and look closely at it and figure out what worked well, what worked so so and what I need to never do again. This is a great build, I love the simplistic yet decorative design of it. When you build your next one, you will have that much more knowledge. WELL DONE!
Simple and the most easy way to do a table with no other tools involve, just good craftmaship. Thumbs up .....
of the many farmhouse table vids, this is my favorite for sure bro, love the unconventional way of assembling the table top and making that first cut(s) in the 4x4 lolllll
Great looking little table! Loved the video, especially when you showed your son the part with covering the screw holes with dowel ends, and then got him involved. Being a grand dad - that part really hit the mark for me.
Thanks! I like having him help me with stuff like that. It’s a good feeling for me and a good learning experience for him
@@adamfleischdo u have the plans for this table?
I thought this was awesome! my husband and I are going to build one! Probably use a different kind of wood but I love the video. So helpful! and the kid is freaking adorable lol.
Seems like a fun build! Awesome having the kid in there helping too. Try dowels next time! It’ll be even stronger than the pocket holes and you don’t have to use the caps
Simply gorgeous. Since I'm a 70YO Nanny I think I would do the conditioning/staining/poly on the wood before I put it together, then do some touch-up, because it's hard for me to get up and down off the floor. I'm building a new house and can't wait to set up my workshop so I can do some projects like this. A bench/stool/side table to match would be so pretty! Thanks for the ideas and very nice for you to let your little one help out. My Daddy did the same with me and it instilled a love of making things out of wood into my soul. God bless you!
Awesome build, looks amazing. Thanx for sharing!
Awesome elegant and simple design. And diggin A7X playing in the background
Excellent job!! Thanks for sharing your skills!! Outstanding!!
Nice job, good that you involved your kid.
Well done mate. Thanks for sharing. I will be making one for my wife as well and we are not concerned with any issues mentioned below. It's a farmhouse table which to me means it's not going to be perfect. Any cracking or warping will give it a recycled wood look that my wife wants.
Beautiful, and now I have to get a pocket hole jig, I keep saying I'll get one, those are a game changer.
Yes they are! I made a custom wall to wall bookcase in my office and the pocket hole jig made it super simple to build. And it was cheap.
Pretty . Simple and turned out very nice.
WOW. That’s a beautiful dining table!
My husband did not disappoint. This table is amazing and fits all 4 of us. Thanks Adam!!
Skye Fleisch your absolutely right. I like it myself. Enjoy your table...
Looks like you got yourself what they call a"keeper" in him. Great looking table Adam!

Very nice. Thank you. I've been looking for something like this for more than quite a while.
Great video mate. I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to help out with projects :)

I recently got into wood work as a hobby but I’ve been in the garage with my dad since I was 6 Building late models, street cars/trucks , drift cars , even a pikes peak car in 2006 with my dad @3:41 your kid gave you the same look I use to give my dad, keep it up dude kids going to remember this stuff forever . My sons 7 already gets mad when mom says it’s time to shower for bed to him.
Beautiful job!! The staining and finishing is the most time consuming part of the job! haha
Wow!!!! Absolutely beautiful !!!

Great Job. Thanks for sharing.

Wow awesome work!
FC from Jersey, that's what'sup your table looks amazing!
Very nice table. I made a similar design of roughly the same size with cherry wood. I used the pocket screws for mine. I like the dowels on the breadboard ends. I wish I had done them on mine. Thanks for posting this video.
How much did it cost you for cherry ?
I paid $170.00. I purchases a very high grade o wood. 5/4 stock. The size and design of the top was very similar. I used glue and pocket screws.
I want one! Beautiful!
That's beautiful work SIR. Thanks for sharing. Do that with spalted pecan and you will have a customer for life.
Really simple and nice!!!
Beautiful work
Your workshop playlist sounds oddly familiar! Also, I really have to get myself a nice flat workbench top like yours.
Nice i like the design. So easy to build.
Great video you provided for others to be able to build their own, enjoy wood working, and end up with a great table to be proud of. I am looking to build a large building table for my office/hobby room upstairs. I build scale RC model planes. I am getting ready to build a 1/5th scale 89" North American P-51 Mustang. My table used previously (daughters study table going thru college) has worked great on smaller models but this one will require a length to fit a 77" x 42" plans to fit onto. So probably 7.5' x 4.5' or depends on widths of wood I use. Maybe buying a used table is cheaper. Sand and refinish it. Thanks again! Wow! Today you had 7.4K likes on your RUclips video.
Great job Adam and daughter.
My daughter Nolan thanks you
Awesome work.
Nice simple build.
Beautiful!!

Wow ! I am not learning how to built this table, but you got amazing skill bro...I subscribe you anyway. Right now I try to built my aquarium stand, but not yet finish the siding.
Nice work.
Good job 👍
Beautiful
Great job! Had to subscribe
that's beautiful
Looks great, my brother did it almos the exact same way but after about a year it warped something fierce lol , def needed some C channel or something underneath
Yea.. this just makes a fake bread board. Whole thing is locked in place, even if its not cheap construction lumber it would warp/split through the seasons.
beautiful creative work😍😍❤❤👍
Nice work bud
Very Nice,Fantastics
Awesome video !!!! Keep it up sir
Thank you! I appreciate the comment
Great table 👍🇲🇽
Nice. I need to build a 10 foot table to seat the 2 of us, our 4 grown kids and their spouses. This type of construction might do the trick.
I like the Jacobean stain. Now your hands are gonna be the same color for a few months. I did a bench with the same color without gloves and I showed everyone for 6 months what I used. Now I use gloves.BTW,your method otherwise is really spot on.👍
Thank you!
Very cool..... Avenged Sevenfold in the back ground. Great job
I like your taste in music!
Nice job Bro, That mitre box is the shit. I'm still flapping my wing by hand.
I like how simple this is. No jointing or planing. Just cut and stick. I was starting to feel like a pos because I dont joint or plane stuff either. But after watching this, I'm gonna go build some shit.
Awesome!
The girl will be a excellent carpenter.
Solid bro!
