Very thorough and great review.. great practical touches you dont see in other reviews. Like the wrap test and plug overview. Keep up the good work! Probably picking up a set!
Hope the hobby becomes more popular with this kind of price to performance. I wonder what else it will take to get more people to buy these things. Aside from having them available in stores like Amazon. I kind of want to collect all these sub 100 winners. Great review thanks.
Thanks for the review! Titan S looks legit after seeing all the reviews online! By the way I hope you get to review the Acoustune RS One - it's priced at around $120 here in China and was just recently launched. First Acoustune monitor line according to the description
I don’t have the Titan S but I just got the Olina a couple of weeks ago. Based on your reviews of IEMs that I have you always describe them in the same way I would. So if your tastes are anything like mine I think you will be blown away by the Olina. Mind you I just got the Monarch MKII about a month ago. I don’t regret that purchase even though it was a big one but all I want to listen to has been the Olina since I got it. It’s one of the most resolving of little micro details in between notes that I’ve ever heard. Other people seem to feel the same way. I thought it was a hype train thing but once I put them in my ears I was like oh…..CRAP….
Damn dude, you need more subs, probably one of the most enjoyable and detailed and descriptive reviews of audio equipment. You could sell me anything and I would buy it, Wish you had more subs and recognition for your videos
Just bought one yesterday.. I was planning to get Aria for so long, even thinking of Kato, then when comes the day, after all the reviews, I had to leave Aria for another life...
Another great content review of the DUNU Titan S, how would compare to the Aria and T3 +? , so that's all and have a great, wonderful, blessed, positive, productive and safe weekend.
I’m curious if you could make a couple of specific suggestions to look into based off of my current situation. I have (and really enjoy) the Mangird Xenns UP and I’m curious what you think the most worthy currently available sets would be to purchase if I’m interested in a similar tuning and just the next level of detail and technicalities. I actually really enjoy a variety of tunings but I am definitely more drawn to the UP’s sound sig tho I wouldn’t mind a little more air in the treble. I’m genuinely pretty flexible when it comes to tuning preference tho as I do genuinely listen to a wide variety of music. It seems we have similar taste with perhaps more of a hip-hop leaning to my library than the classical but the jazz, folk, edm etc all are important parts of my library as well as rock and pop and different world music etc. I’ve currently been most interested in the U12T and the MEST MKII but I’m just not sure where to go. Budget would probably be capped right around $2k for this IEM. I have a wide variety of adequate sources both mobile and desktop so power requirements aren’t an issue. I’m thinking this will likely be my endgame set of IEMs (as far as my budget goes) as I already have a lot of different IEMs sub-$300. Thanks for your awesome videos and sharing your take on all of the different gear you review and for being a good dude in the community/hobby. Really glad to hear you caught up with family finally and are again healthy and well. I appreciate any advice/direction and insights you might be able to offer in researching further. I’m in US so trying before buying isn’t very practical unfortunately (as I’m sure you are v familiar with as well). Take care buddy!
Thanks for the kind words :) Hmmmmmm if I was in your shoes i would consider the Monarch Mkii or the Mest mk2. But there is also the Sony IER-1zr in that category and they are phenominal. All 3 i consider end game, the Sony are something very special. Just beware the fit is a bit strange on them, they are some chunky monkeys.
@@AudioLevels I have actually been thinking about the monarch MkII, especially after your review and a few others who enjoyed and appreciated it as much as you did. Certainly appealing only spending half of what I was willing to allocate to my budget as well 🤔 I’ve long been interested in the Z1R and if I could more reasonably try it out before buying it and make sure the fit worked for me I would absolutely be interested but I have smaller ear canals and conchae despite having bigger ears 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️😂 and for instance, the UPs are pretty large for my ears and are just borderline uncomfortable physically due to their size for periods of more than a couple hours. So I’m pretty afraid between the more shallow insertion depth and the angle it’s at etc and the weight that it would end up being an exercise in futility for me. As I understand it, the Monarch MkII is just a bit larger/thicker perhaps than the UPs, does that sound somewhat accurate to your experience? The MEST MkII is certainly very appealing. I’m not a true basshead but I obviously do gravitate towards a bit of a boosted bass above even Harman, especially in the sub bass region specifically. Would the Monarch truly offer a distinct level of improvement In technicality over the UP or do you think I’d have to move up in price closer to the top of my budget for one of the other two you mentioned? Thanks so much for getting back to me!
I almost feel bad in a way doing something like this but it’s tempting to me to buy the Z1R on Amazon and if they fit well and I enjoy them as well as most others seem to who can get a proper seal and a comfortable fit, perhaps returning them and looking for a well-maintained used set on the forums etc.I don’t know tho. I honestly feel bad doing that to the retailer in principle, even tho they know and agree to a return policy ahead of time realizing that folks can return items for any reason within the posted window of time including ‘no longer needed/wanted’.
@@davidcoons89 I wouldn't feel bad about that at all. Its usually what I reccommend people to do if the option is available to them. Its a lot of money and you want to do whats best for yourself.
@@davidcoons89 As a side note. I usually advocate haveing a couple different styles of earphones. So in this case the MKII is very well rounded and works great with every genre. The Ups are more of an aquired taste for when your really want that bass slam. Having both at the same time would actually be something I would do. That gives a much more versatile setup than just the Sony. Also I think the MKII represents where earphones become end game sidegrades. This sort of IEM, and the IER, Mest and a few others I reccomend based on tuning rather than technicatlities.
Yes and no, for the most part, it was the same but definitely a lot fewer people out and about. High streets and malls are all but dead. That said they were dying anyway but I think the pandemic accelerated the process. I don't often go back to Glasgow but its changed a lot in 10 15 years, it used to be quite a scary place with NED/Chav culture but that seems way less of an issue now which makes it a better place for everyone.
@@AudioLevels It is interesting to hear your perspective as someone who has been away from your home for the entire pandemic thus far. Having spent the entire pandemic at home in Canada the changes are harder to grasp. I’m pretty sure though that normal, whatever that was, is gone forever. 🤔

Bro I got the Olina too but I'm unable to find that charm I know my ears are untrained but what am I suppose to do feel that charm
All my favorite IEMs are like little works of art or jewels! Your box of IEMs looks like a cherish marble collection...Nice!

Question for you sir
Dunu sa6 or the oracle?
is this an upgrade from tin t2? how do they compare from each other?
Did you find things had changed in the UK when you finally got to go back to visit?
