I'm still in Block, I just completed painting #5 the clarinet, it took me over a year to complete, to be exact on June 19th, it would have been 1 year 3 month, but I completed it today. I was so frustrated with it, and family health issues, caused delays. It would have been easy to give up, but that will never happen. And I hope you never give up as well. 🙃
Thank you for the kind words! It does get discouraging at times. Instead of giving up, we just slow down and do the best that we can. I think I've been working on Block 6 for a year, but that's okay!
im just going back in july to assignments after nearly 7 months maybe 8 of doing an assignment (health stuff - im good). i just wish block 6 was an al carte block....there was mention of it a few yrs back but i think they ditched the idea.😢
Thanks for sharing Mia. It’s so helpful to know others get frustrated and feel like stopping too. I am having such a hard time myself. I am also in Evolve by the way, but merely in Block 3.
I know the feeling! What issues are you having in Block 3? You're almost at the finish line. We're in this together, and we can encourage one another.🤗
Wow! I'm still working on assignment #9 and I have a long way to go. I probably won't finish block 6 until February. I really want to finish so I can start on Block 7, which I've really been looking forward to starting.
@@MiasSketchbook The only reason those paintings took a while to do is because you do a layer, submit for critique and then do the next layer. Sometimes they don't get back to you quickly so each painting takes roughly a week to finish. Although actual time painting is not very long.
I understand, I was in the same situation when I was your age. You can always use paper and pen from school. That's what I did. It was lined paper but I was still able to draw until I was able to buy my first sketchbook. You might not be able to paint right now, but you can still practice the fundamentals with pencil or pen. Those skills will transfer over when you transition into painting. Let me know how everything goes!🤗
Thank you for your honesty. I appreciate that a lot
I landed on this vid. after a random click. I do not know much about art, but it is so cool sharing your thoughts the way you did.

@@bigrigsoncanvas, what is al carte?
@@ravenshadowz2343 just be able to purchase that block seperately than doing the full advanced program
I agree, I just want to get to Block 7. Block 6 isn't my cup of tea and I'm still working through it a year later.

Welcome back!!
Thanks! It's good to be back!
Speed painting is a cool method, but block 6 takes forever. Took me several months to get through. Block 7 flies by.

I used to submit each pass separately, but you are right, it takes a while to get a response back. I just submit everything all at once now.
Wish i could paint like my 2 GGs did befor their desth
You still could if you wanted to ❤️. My grandmother was a great artist herself, and all she used were crayons.
@MiasSketchbook well
