  • This technique can really put some sauger on the bank for you on the Ohio River. It was a solid day of fishing considering it was December 3 and nearly 50 degrees out. The Hocking River was flooded so I decided to go down to the bigger river and chase some Sauger. Enjoy this short tutorial video and please down in the comments share techniques you like to use to chase these awesome fish!

I appreciate the feedback Kevin!! I typically fish for all kinds of species on my channel. This past season was consumed by bass tournaments. We have some amazing walleye, Sauger and saugeye fisheries here in Ohio! Thanks for watching man

Nice river outing on the Ohio. Sauger and walleye bite is on. Like the how-to and following the cast in all the way in. An old river guide buddy told us "You never know how far that fish followed the bait back. They might commit once the fish think a meal is getting away." Thanks for sharing B.

Exactly!!! I caught a couple just a few feet off shore! You can definitely pull baits away so I try my best to retrieve to the bank. Thanks for watching Brian!!
