Please show your high school sketchbooks! It'd be really nice to see how you developed over the years plus it may motivate people to work harder and not give up. Always a fan of your content
I bet if we get the word out, we could get more than enough serious artists to order and buy those handmade sketchbooks... He could stay open and pass on the specialty in perpetuity. I definitely want some.
This video was really cool César! Actually, a few weeks ago, inspired by your sketchbooks, I grabbed some sheets of Canson paper I had around, and binded them in a simple handmade sketchbook. Did anyone else tried this? There are plenty of videos on youtube teaching simple bookbinding techniques. I just picked one and give it a go. Obviously, it didn't came out with a polished look, but for me it feels more special than if I had bought one. Thanks for the ideas/ possibilities/ inspirations! Um abraço, Ricardo
Another awesome video. It is a real pleasure to watch the pages, like having you art in concentrated form with all variations. Please , now show us more of the individual sketchbooks.Have a great day!
One of my favourite vlogs of yours so far! This was really cool, I have never thought of making my personal sketchbook in a shop like the one you showed to us and now I think my next sketchbook will be done that way cause I always struggle to find right paper too!
loving your vlogs and recently purchased your portrait in oils video, really enjoying it and want to say your teaching approach is great, thank you for making these videos
Hi, I really love your videos. I find them very inspiring and as a young begginer artist I also find them very useful. One day I want to be a paintor, and I really hope to be able to paint people as good as you. I admire your art a lot.
Fantastic, Cesar... your VLOG is really inspirating (as the first DVD and soon the new one :-)) By chance, I 've learned classical book binding so I do like you - my own sketchbooks. Alas the drawings inside are not yet to be compared :-)))) Thank you for this cool video ! :-)
When painting oils on the sketch book how you go about the drying time? You keep the book page open/exposed until it is actually dry? For this reason I only use Watercolor on mine
Grande cesar!!! Es un proceso ingenioso el que tienes para aprender. Me encanta aprender con tus vídeos. (En tu descripción pones que eres cubano así que pense qué podría hablarte en español)
Thanks so much for all of this information in this and other presentations and the links. At about 11:40 is the Fabriano Paper with that magnificent embossing, what Fabriano paper is that? Thanks
A really well constructed video! This was very informative and interesting. I beg you, Cesar, please continue doing these! Do you remember where you've found the little leather-binded sketchbook you've shown in this video? I would love to find one like that!
Hello Cesar! Could you please find the time to tell us what type of Fabriano paper are you using for your sketchbooks at 5:47? I am starting the Bargue drawing course and it would help me a lot to know. There is no link for that specific paper. Is it Artistico, Accademia, Rosaspina ...? Much appreciated!
You are just one of the most talented artists! I think not many of us can compare our sketches with yours! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work...
Thank you César for a all your videos, I never get tired of seeing them..There is a video that you made regarding canvas' but I forget which video that was..can you kindly tell me which video that was. I appreciated it very much.
it'd be cool if u share the process of how to put gesso and flesh tones on paper and what paper do you use for this one, is that same canson or fabriano or different one?
I wouldn't recommend Moleskins for painting. They are great for writing and pen and ink drawing and hard pencils. Unless they've expanded the range of papers they use. I haven't bought a new one in 14 years that's for sure. They are the 'ultimate' travellers and creatives notebook.
