Such a great, great video! Very complete, thorough and detailed. Thank you SO MUCH for posting it!!!🙏
Now this is THE vid for servicing the Maytag; kudos to applianceman... well done.
Thanks AppMan! just what I needed to know to safely repair my washer!
Very helpful…many thanks!
Perfectly detailed job. Thanks so much
Thank you for the instructions. I just finished a transmission replacement on my washer. Not a job for the faint of heart.
Exactly what I needed to know! Thank you
The stationary tub only fits one way, so be careful when you replace a leaking tube. It must be positioned with the three supports correctly. Also the brake rotor must slid easily on the input shaft. Mark all parts before you take them apart.
Awesome video. The new transmissions come with a newer version of seals and cams. If you are going to upgrade to the new seals, the re-assembly is different.
Thanks for watching my videos. Will see what happens in the future
Thanks
Ok, so is there a repair for this type transmission ?? We are debating on either fixing it or NOT. We saw your other video were you replaced a gear, so just wondering. ??
Good Job ,I like your presentation! I have a Maytag upright washer & it will not spin. The model # is MAV 6357 AWW and I think it might need a transmission. The video you have on you tube looks like the washer I have and I do not know the part number for the transmission which is used on this machine.Do you think I should inspect the old transmission before I order one and do you think E-Bay might carry this item? Please be so kind and advise what I should do. I have a very hard time to turn the tub by hand. Maybe the transmission is not lubricated any more and will fail because of this. Thanks for your help Karl
Guessing is not a good way to fix anything it could be very expensive and frustrating . I would not spend the money replacing the transmission. But here is a link on eBay check it out

I would look for a good cheap used whirlpool direct drive washer instead

My Maytag Performa washer is not leaking water, but "screams in agony" when moving through its agitating cycles. Sounds like a faulty transmission bearing scraping along a chuck board, to me. My first efforts to follow along with your fix might would have succeeded, had I not got STUCK at "0:36", where my four 1/2" bolts are heavily rusted, and unwilling to be ratcheted loose. Any worthy suggestions - before wifey uses her BEST BUY card on a $700 replacement?
You forgot to replace the new hub and seal kit, just replacing the transmission without the new tub seal will cause leaks.
Noooo mames! Fuera cobrado más!! 😂😂
just try and get that damn e ring back on......................
