Such a great movie! Also, I have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your reviews man! They provide good insights into the movie, without spoiling, and heck, they are just fun and entertaining to watch! Keep em coming! :)
Thanks for the review!!! Seeing it on Thursday, the earliest possible showing in my area and can't wait. Yeah, people complaining about run time have obviously never seen a Scorsese movie in the theatre. I saw "Casino" in a gigantic, packed Manhattan movie theatre and people were riveted, nobody (including me) was complaining. And that's over three hours long (and he's had other three hour plus movies, or nearly three hour movies. "Goodfellas" is nearly three hours and again: not a single person left their seat during that movie, when I saw it in the theatre).
I remember seeing Lawrence of Arabia in theaters as a kid and having an intermission after 1-1/2 hours. Now we're expected to sit through almost 4 hours in a seat like an abused office worker.
Just don't eat or drink anything before any 3 hour movie or wear an adult diaper! Simple as that! Titanic was 12 minutes shorter than this film. That did not stop it from becoming the MAMMOTH that it did and I don't anyone anyone who complained about the runtime for that film!
No I wouldn’t call it his best - the man has had far too many all timer’s to call this his best so soon! But it’s definitely a top tier Scorsese that’s for sure!
I’m weary of your review… His last movie, “the Irishman” is an absolute piece of crap. Almost unwatchable. Marty hasn’t made a great movie in 25 years. Will this be a comeback… Obviously you’re so infatuated with him it doesn’t matter what he does.

I gotta be honest if this movie was 7 hours I would’ve watched. Just a top tier masterclass film.

How’d you watch it 🤔
It just screened at London Film Festival!
Scorcese really pulled out all the stops with this one
He really said hold my beer
Sounds like F Troop
The irishman was LONG and tiring.
Counterpoint: the Irishman was LONG and slapped

Well this is an incredible weird comment! Hope you can find more to enjoy in this one than in The Irishman!
