Where are people getting that this cute lil thing is crazy venomous? One person has supposedly died because of their bite and it was because the toxin from these guys sweat gland is similar to cats so the person must've been extremely allergic to cats. Most people would just have a painful bite with the associated risks all bites have.

Not only should these not be pets, but before they're trafficked as pets, they have their toothcomb removed, so that they won't inject ad much venom upon a bite. They require their toothcomb to clean themselves, and the removal is deeply cruel.

Thank you. I came here to say the same. They are kidnapped from their mother as tiny babies 😢. Most don't live a full life because we can't replicate their diet or environment. They are so tiny. They require a very specific diet. There is no wiggle room because they are so small. They DO NOT belong as a pet. They are not pets. They are wild creatures.

Okay, Slow Lorises have venom glands on the inside of their upper arms. They lick the glands and their saliva activates the sometimes lethal bite. Be very careful around such a cute creature, when one bite could potentially kill you.
There are a lot of countries where they are legal to own, but in order to have one, some of its teeth must be removed and those teeth are usually removed before they are traded/sold off. What the hell? 😟

Even venomous snake handlers wouldn't de-fang their snakes so as not to compromise the animal. I've only heard of de-fanging animals for the animals' protection/ health. It's usually looked down upon to do it for the handlers' safety because if you wanted to be safe, you shouldn't have gotten the animal in the first place.
