For the people worrying about the wisdom 4 effect saying it INCREASES magic damage by 45% while courage 4 AMPLIFIES physical by 45%, this is just a typing mistake! Wisdom 4 does AMPLIFY your magic damage by 45% when dealing magic damage :)
Thanks for all the help beelz! I’m one of those newbies that got Skul on PS+ and I’ve been super addicted to it! I just managed to beat hard mode 5 with an Archmage/Warlock build. Wouldn’t have been able to without all the advice from your recent videos. I really appreciate you going out of your way to teach handy tips and tricks to the people just joining in like me.
hello! I really appreciate the newer guides as iv just recently beat the game on normal after having it sit in my library for a while and not playing it because the cloud didn't update and I lost my progress. anyways I have been struggling to beat the dark mirror and I did watch your video on the over explained dark mirror run (I have yet to beat it though) and it was also very helpful! thank you for helping me out!
For physical skulls you can use the combo of Carleon Armor and Attendant's Pauldrons/Architect's Breastplate to have two fortress plus 1 courage so you have plenty of room for damage items and some damage reduction. You could pair the Pauldrons and the Breastplate together for the better inscriptions but you do lose out on the damage reduction from the Carleon Armor. A good combo for physical or magical is the trio of the Carleon Armor, Knight's Determination and Dark Quartz. That way you would have two fortress, two revenge and one antique and have a fair amount of room for courage or wisdom and to get one more antique in there. The best thing about those combos is they are very powerful combos for beginners and fairly easy to get due to lower item rarity. Plus they give you room to still have high offence. Also always check Prince's boxes and clone stamps to see what the inscriptions are. They can make and also save a build in an instant.
Well, Just yesterday i got my very first win, with the first Boss done without Taking dmg. Funny enough, i started with werewolf, changed to ghoul on the 2 or 3 map/door, and had quiet a Nice physical build for him, but then, death dropped right before the sisters Boss, and i could not resist, it was the skull i got very early on my very first run, and it brought be to the chimera without knowing sht, and i Just build from the Guts, 5 summon items, some mana cycle, the shield thing that dropped off the St smth Boss after the chimera, and it Just carried me through, well, the crow god smth quintessence helped a lot too.
this video helped me so fucking much... i went from never making it to saint big head on 0 level mirror to beating it finally and now i can get all the way to dads final form multiple times now.. i havent beat him yet but its on the horizon for sure! TY for this one.. it was short and sweet andd because of that easy to understand and take in!
as a player since the release of monkey and prisoner, if you want a satisfied run, just king and physic. Most king's physic skills work, just don't stitch to crossbow, it takes time to charge
i remember the good old days when i was the only weird guy for liking dark quartz because you did not need alot of damage since alot of skulls that were unique and legendary could easily go through the game without caring for damage. so i would just go cooldowns, alot of health and alot of defence.
I once had a build where I was able to dash for ever in the air and for every 8 dashes in air I made a magical attack so I just had to dash in air and most enemies couldn't even hit or see me. Plus later on I got the Ninja with which I could dadh 3 times what made it even easier
For me, every run I pray for ninja and reaper. Then search for sylphid wings and archer boots, if possible usually shoot for masterpiece chase then decide magic or physical. If physical: courage, arms, chase, masterpiece. If magic then chase, fairy tail, soar, artifact.if i can masterpice some items on the way then sale what i dont need bc they keep the upgrade even if you get ride of the other masterpiece inscriptions.
Possibly, but they're all very niche and it depends on what you're after. There's crits + raw dmg, crits + crit dmg boosts, crits + item synergy (gunpowder sword and invisible knife), crits + poison etc etc.
@@dillonjones1767 Stack maximum relic and revenge on Ghouuul and use the bone alters and breaking quintessence for HP and you can literally face tank the entire game including the hero at Dark Mirror Level 10 no problem. You do such great tutorials Beelz. Any chance you are working on single skull tutorials? I'd love to get your take on the Monkey King, and lots of others in the current version
That slime dupe comes clutch, just beat a DM 9 run cause he dumped the Legendary Arrow from the Bow hero and it made my sniper skull do insane damage lmao
managed to beat dm10 using clown but my damage seemed a little lackluster to be honest. i forgot to screenshot but it was pretty much using the item that marks the enemy when you dash through them then crit the hell outta them with gunpowder sword. Got to dark skul and my god it felt like an eternity doing phase 1 just to die at the start of his spear mode in phase 2
3:59 beelz, although i got how the math works, my brain doesn't want to accept it as it's a % numbers, and % is multiplier at heart, my brain hurts twt)>
It's easy.. damage is the number, amplified makes that number bigger.. the more things you got that make either of them bigger the more you gonna wreck shit! I still suck btw hahah took me 160 death's to beat it the first time on beginner mode, have beat mirror level 0 but not level 1. But this video helped a lot. Just simplify it more and it may help you too!!
if you dash you are a noob ! beelz we have been waiting for a no dash run for over a year its been so long that one piece has released 7 (Seven) non filler episodes ! !!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can someone explain to me why it is when I'm not doing an Oberon run, I see all the fairies, but when I do decide to do an Oberon run, I see no fairies?
I had the perfect run in world 10. I got out of the stupid grab the final boss does with slime and he teleported me back in it and killed me. Uninstalled it out of frustration. Can you do a guide on him if you haven’t already? He’s no pushover
What does the number adjacent to the inverted triangles mean? It appears when you're in the menu checking out your skull's ability (in this case, it said 9 for the werewolf below and to the right of "Beast Leap"). These also appear for items and quintessences.
Amps seem to multiplicative even if same type of Amp~ 20% Phys Atk Amp + 45% Phys Atk Amp ~> the amp amps the other amp 348 ~> 505 is not a x165/120 increase but a x145/100 increase I assume this is the same for Damage Amps?
I’m pretty sure I know the answer but are the amps additive? Meaning do if I have two different items that give amp, do they add together or treated separately. For example would it be “base damage + increases x (amp + amp) = damage dealt” or “base damage + increases x (amp x amp ) = damage dealt”?
Each amp *should* act as its own multiplier. It's a bit tricky with how they prioritize each other in which goes first. But thankfully there aren't too many that are always active. Courage/Wisdom are flat multipliers that work from the moment you've got it. But some like Mana Cycle 4/4 or Courage 4/4 have requirements. Mana Cycle multiplies skill damage, so it calculates it when you use the skill, having already taken Courage into account. Courage 4/4 has a cooldown so it's likely to always be one of the last multipliers there. Some can be boosted and used while being active like Ent putting down grass. It's a tricky/weird one but that amp can independently be boosted before damage calculation. Effects like Orc *should* be the last one in the chain, simply doubling whatever amp result is there. There's a chance some of this i a bit wrong though as a few effects interacting with each other can get a bit wonky. There's a lot of potential crossover for amp effects and always knowing which comes first is borderline impossible to know without breaking into the code and seeing the order.
So I’m up to DM9 and know the game pretty well now, but I just can’t figure out the split damage skulls for the life of me. Clown looks cool but I just can’t get him to work and same thing with Rider, it’s like unless I get super specific items Fugen dawn etc.. that raise both attributes I feel like half my kit is wasted. Any advice on what items to take with those 2 skulls?
Build both as pure physical. The magical components they have are minor and not worth overinvesting in unless you want to run a meme build. Whatever build you'd give to a pure physical damage dealer (Berserker, Werewolf, Ninja etc), do the exact same thing. Basically what I said in the vid, Courage and 2 revenge, whatever else after that is a bonus. I will add that both Clown and Rider benefit very well from critical hits and crit synergy items like Gunpowder Sword and Invisible Knife.
@Beelz55 yeah I think you have to have had entropy 25 at least and after you beat the second phase it goes into a 3rd and it plays like a fighting game
Some inscriptions require 5 or 6 to max out their effects. But there's no need to get more than needed. Unless it's Treasure during a Dark Mirror run. The bonus inscription effect the witch gives you towards the end of a Dark Mirror run for Treasure will give you a damage amp based on how many treasure inscriptions you have. So you might want to have 5-6 by then as long as the items are worth carrying.
By chance have you recently started playing? You unlock new items throughout the game by talking to a special NPC in the shops called the Grave Robber. He'll sell new items and skulls for Quartz. Buying them not only gives it to you right away, but unlocks them for your account. There's a few skulls and a LOT of new items for you to get. Besides that the only other items to worry about are the DLC ones that you get along with 5 more skulls. There's also a few special items that are only found in the games Hard Mode which you unlock after beating the game on Normal at least once. (It also plays into the story and is a true continuation of the game, so don't worry ''Hard Mode'' is really just a name)
@Beelz55 awesome info, I've yet to beat the game, I get to saint Joan 2 and die usually but I've been playing for some time, knew about the grave rober just didn't know once you pick up an item unless the magic slime gives you a replica you didn't get another copy.

Pretty much, yes. You want to get a healthy base amount of damage thanks to items and skulls. Then amps do the rest of the work for you.
