    Good job using a pipe to equalize everything. Good job on your business website too. Looks good. I tried to leave feedback on that video but couldn't for some reason.

    You have to insulate the probes that you taped to the pipe, you were ok on this test because the pipe was the same temp as ambient temp. If you were to watch the temp when you put your finger on it, it would have started going up.

    Nice video Eddie would you reconsider on a new temp test? Like will you freeze the pipe or do a real time temp test. By controlling the temp up or down. I would just like to see how fast each meter keeps up with temperature rise or drop. Just because i notice that the ambient air was really close to the pipe temp. Refrigerant as we know changes super fast. Thanks Eddie for all your help and i wish i had as much tools as you. Your the man!

    which ever one that you will use the most!!
    Really, I think that they are all going to be pretty close to each other, just use the one is the easiest for you and the one that you like the most.

    Kind of reminded me of asking someone the time and five people all respond and they all are within a minute of each other.

  • @EddieLeverich
    @EddieLeverich  12 лет назад

    Yes, this test was mostly just an ambient test, I will hook them to my a/c unit and see how they compare that way

    Like the video's, nice to see another refrigeration mechanic that gives a crap. It would be cool if you ran that test again with a controlled temp of 212 and 32 degrees and see how they very. Keep up the good work.

  • @EddieLeverich
    @EddieLeverich  12 лет назад

    I knew this question was coming lol
    Let me see what I can do. Maybe I'll have enough room on my lineset outside to test them all t once.

  • @EddieLeverich
    @EddieLeverich  11 лет назад

    not normal at all. I get a reading seconds after shutting off the freon.

    I have that fieldpiece stick and the Testo 550. So which one do you think is better.
    I was doing the same thing a couple days ago but with with ice cold water so I was using a known temperature but none of my tester were showing 32' F.

  • @germanpita826
    @germanpita826 11 лет назад

    Hi, Eddie my name is German I just bought the testo 557 n I charged a r22 system with them it took me almost a whole hour every time I let freon into the suction side the superheat readings would go blank n it would take about 2 to 3 min. Before any readings would show up again is that normal for testo it just to much time,

    Shows you that you don't need to spend a lot to get a measurement. I have a cheap $15.00 Supco ST09 stick that is 0.1 away from my $350 indoor thermostat. I was surprised...... Supco is perfect for me.

    You should not have any drop across the dryer if you do it needs to be replaced

  • @EddieLeverich
    @EddieLeverich  12 лет назад

    No all I did was hook them up a let them sit for about 5 minutes.
    I want to test them all on a lineset at startup and see what the results are

    Hey Eddie,
    Another great Vid, I thought for sure your Laser temp was going to be off, I tried to use mine on a suction line once when I broke my fieldpiece clamp probe and it was all over the place.
    Did you calibrate all the units before you started? it's cool that they were all so close to each other.

  • @katherinerodgers5319

    Is it right that you should have no mor then 3 dg. Across filter dryer?

    Hi, I recently bought a field piece sman 4 and am having a hard time on the high side getting the clap close to valve does it make a big difference to take measurement on the other side of dryer
