Any comments on the flat o-ring? I replaced the thermostat because it was leaking and it still leaks? Doesn’t seem like the right type of o-ring to me. Thanks for any feedback.
HI there. Like your video. Very professional .hope you can help me with the advice. I have a same car and i need a thermostat replacement too because I got code PO128 and P112B .And at the same time the radiator fan started to work very very loud in full blast .Not sure why it happened and if this thermostat related? what do you think can i drive the car to the mechanic in this condition since it is not possible for me to do it myself? just afraid to do more damage to the car if i will drive. Can i somehow disconnect the fan? Hope for your opinion on this one. With many thanks .Oksana.
I just bought 90C thermostat for my N62... why ? Because I wanna save my engine ! All orings, gasket and seals . This engine has many problems , like coolant pipe seal , just because stock thermostat opens at 105C . It too much heat
@ecologicaltime so basically buying a thermostat that opens at 90C doesn't mean it will open at this temp . I bought mine from turner motorsport performance one , so hopefully it will actually open at 90C
Dang. And I thought a liquid-cooled alternator was the crown jewel of BMW's stupid engineering. And then they go with an electronic thermostat. Don't change, BMW.

i have a video showing how to reduce the temp as well.
