We at NSTEM always look for techniques in STEM learning. We like your focus on innovation and teaching for the future since the world is changing so much and so rapidly. We also liked that you said in STEM classes, there should be "more student talk time than teacher talk time." Your ideas for learning in STEM classes are amazing and well-thought.

'A' is the innovation STEM needs. It makes it go full STEAM ahead. STEM (rote learning) pales to arts integration ability to develop creative minds. Anything that can be automated, will be, it is creativity that will be of value, and Visual Literacy/ Arts Integration has the ability to provide this transition in thinking for our children.

So, pretty much has zero in classroom teaching experience (as an actual teacher) and tries to equate class size and time of her audience to what public school teachers have to contend with. Make sense to me. Has some good points, but like many of the TED speakers that I have seen, they either don't know what goes on in today's classroom or sugar coat it.

I hear no substance. It’s all cotton candy language. “Kids need to know the future, parents need to know the future” thus STEM. It would be nice if some actual substance was presented.

Nothing against the speaker she’s just shilling for her paycheck. Education is a bunch buzzwords.
