Btw gigz, the reason bungie did the lower reticle is because it gives you more of the world on the screen. You get more vertical fov when running console reticle. They started doing this in the og halo days. I dont think many developers do this either.

I jumped over to PC about month ago from Xbox. Still using a controller. Even running the game at comparable setting to the One X version (4k, mid graphic settings). On an rtx 2070 super, it still nets 60fps and faster load times with an ssd. Which is more than enough justification IMO to jump to PC from console. It's such a better experience.
About two months ago I sold my PS4 to get a PC and all my Character data is still on Console but tomorrow I will be playing on PC thanks for this video

I recently moved to PC, and I was instantly better at aiming (except with snipers), my problem is the keyboard and how limiting the movement feels compared to controller, but I'm slowly getting used to it

The reason console reticle is lower then center is because bungie is known for allowing you to see much more above you, especially since people jump a lot in halo and destiny, that being its original purpose in halo, that people jumped a lot, and this reticle style allows you to see them a lot better as they are jumping, as well as usually the center of a tv is higher then the users eyes, and they’ve set the reticle to be on the average user to tv eye level, allowing for a more familiar feel But it’s funny they’d put it on PC because we have FOV settings as well as a mouse...
My friend uses a controller on PC. Also u should cap ur frame rate close to ur monitors refresh rate. No point over during ur gpu for no reason and it visually won’t make any difference.
Where do I buy the game though? Will I be able to start playing Destiny 2 if I preorder it on steam or do I have to wait till October? I‘m kinda confused...
Just a few comments/tips that anyone can take or leave lol. If you have a monitor that has gsync or the sort of gsync that recently started working on a lot of freesync monitors and you have a 10 or 11 series nvidia gpu (for the freesync sorta gsync monitors), and then in the nvidia control panel turn gsync on and in the game settings turn vsync on, and put the frame limit cap maybe 2 or 3 below fps you're going for. .. Like I play at 144hz and so I've set vsync on at 144hz but set the frame cap at 142 so that I don't get the vsync input lag when it goes above 144 and also don't get the annoying screen-tearing. Also in addition to shadow quality, other video settings that are good to turn down to get more frames are depth of field, foliage detail distance, shadow detail distance, and ambient occlusion... Also personally I can't tell the difference between highest and high setting for textures and that gives you some good frames too. It's pretty exciting hearing that we might be getting a lot more people playing on PC, the more the merrier.
I’m new to PC and every time I try and move my mouse of a setting my I game mouse stays there and a different mouse thing to click on stuff comes up and it’s so annoying
I actually do. That keybind was messed up from something I was doing prior to recording. Check the URL to my keybinds that I put in the description. I also go into a little more detail for specific binds there as well.

Go watch 3klicksphilip's video about frames etc. he explained everything pretty well. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/hjWSRTYV8e0/видео.html
Well if you have a good enough pc to reach 144fps then agreed BUT if you are using a 144hz monitor but might only reach 100-120 fps its better to have it uncapped.
Well a question I have is, how long did it take you guys on pc to adapt to m+k? I've never played on pc before so I'm just wondering how long that process will take, other than that, I'm good! (thanks for the setting tips Gigz)
It will take some time because you're so used to aiming a certain way. You may even get headaches from it. The mouse aiming I see being one of the bigger problems for new PC players because its SO precise it can actually throw you off. For movement - First, settle your left hand hand into a WASD position. Your middle finger on W, index on D, ring finger on A, thumb on space (your pinky should hover/rest in the shift area). Then, make note of the other keys closest to your fingers in that position. You will end up rebinding things to those buttons. Staying in that position, see which fingers and what movements you need to do to reach the 1,2, & 3 buttons (weapon switching is defaulted to those button, but you can change that). Also, if you get/have a mouse with extra buttons that's a plus because you can bind actions to those buttons. Keep in mind it's kinda like console where left thumb is movement/strafing, right thumb is aiming/turning. On KB, left hand is movement, right hand is aim/turning/fire. Once you really start clicking with it, you'll wonder why FPS games are ever released on console.
I just realized you didn't say that you've NEVER played a PC game before - my advice is tailored toward individuals who have never played a FPS game on PC before, so I apologize if my response sounds patronizing at all.
@Ike Hop I understand the hesitation and preconceived idea about pc players. There ARE 100% plenty of elitists out there. You will run into that I promise you. But there are also plenty out there willing to help. Good luck with your transition!
@Ike Hop also, we're all just excited to hear you all rave about how fluid fps games feel on kb+m plus fov plus fps plus load times plus etc. One last thing I forgot to mention, when aiming with your mouse, try not to use your wrist, use your forearm to move it. To start understanding this, think of your elbow as a pivot point. This is why a lot of streamers (not just destiny) like/use large(xxl) mousepads.
@@samvakarian thanks for that! I have noticed how I need to leave my left hands on the keyboard near WASD and have seen what key bindings a few content creators and mix up what I may prefer after playing around with it. My one issue is staying still for far too long, I seem to forget (even tho right now I'm playing nothing but PVE) to move as I shoot, run to cover and all the normal things I'd do, I'm slowly getting the hang of it though and with what you said, that should certainly help!

Whatever feels good, for me I’m at 800 with 6 game sense so when I move from the middle of the pad to the edge left or right I will do an exact 180 degree turn in that direction with 360 degrees on a full swipe.

Broken Dream Gamers your pc will definitely be able to run 60 FPS. Obviously settings matter, but with your GPU you should be able to run highest/ sone highest some a bit lower.
HyruleDeku 777 ahhhh that’s ok I canceled the Alienware order felt like I was getting duped and ended up ordering parts to build my own working with an i9 now and it’s beautiful.
reticle lowering has been done in almost every bungie game since halo 2 (i don't remember about reach) but the lowered reticle was because fps players tend to keep the reticle centered near the horizon which leaves you having half the screen taken up by the ground which according to bungie isn't ideal. they want you to have more awareness on what's happening above (tbh if they actually cared about visual awareness they wouldn't bother with lowering the reticle and having an fov slider on PC and console)
Do i need to change acceleration for my mouse? it is set to 0 atm. Edit: Also Gigz great vid! super helpful!! i was playing without swapping any settings and i think the look sensitivity was set to 30!! lol
This is an approach I’ve seen some people take. Personally I feel that PvP is great for accelerating your learning. It is definitely more frustrating going through those growing pains in PvP though
I got my first pc in May. From my experience just throw yourself in, do everything with M&K. What's the harm you're only learning. Best gaming decision I've made switching to pc. Love it
Bru you want to play on a high sensitiveity it gives you better control and tracking. The people who play on low sensitiveity aren't usually pros. It's a myth that it makes you better.
You also want to make sure you aren't actually touching the mouse or keyboard with your hands, just jam the wires so far in your ears and so that it makes contact with your brain then you can use your mind to play
I always thought prop players played on much higher sensitivities then that and much higher dpis then that. Do pro players really use lower sensativity like that?
Shiren the Siren they use lower sensitivity because it allows them aim more accurately, but you need a big mouse pad to have enough room to move your mouse

@@madmagician4230 I think this is slightly true but the best kb+m player will always be better than the best controller player
This is wholesome
What are the most quiet switches you can get on the Anne pro 2 keyboard?
I have browns in mine, they are quiet and still nice for gaming
red/black/brown are all pretty quiet
Do i need to change acceleration for my mouse? it is set to 0 atm.
Edit: Also Gigz great vid! super helpful!! i was playing without swapping any settings and i think the look sensitivity was set to 30!! lol
acceleration is horrible for your aim. disable it ingame and on windows (additional mouse options, untick enhance pointer precision)
Why did you mostly use Year 1 gameplay?
Great guide. One question. What cheese does he smell like?
what program do you use to record gameplay?
Most people use shadowplay that I know
Just wondering, why do you have anti aliasing off googz?
cause he is using 1440p. Its really not needed when resolutions are higher
If you're a kbm noob, just play all pve with your kbm and if you have to play pvp, continue using your controller until you adapt.
Love it
I just sign up the destiny 2 discord and registered it but I have no access to chat can anyone one tell me what am I missing
@@ballsy8713but you need a sepcial conector for that ; )
Thank you for this !!!
I always thought prop players played on much higher sensitivities then that and much higher dpis then that. Do pro players really use lower sensativity like that?
Shiren the Siren they use lower sensitivity because it allows them aim more accurately, but you need a big mouse pad to have enough room to move your mouse
