13:30: “Let’s deal with that after the next pay day shall we?”
If there’s any statement on this planet I can relate to better, it’s that one!
Another big step, and love the little comedy bits, too! I am impressed with how the loco running never disturbed your work... quick adjustment and let it through.
What a amazing job Dave... The videos are so relaxing watching u make your layout and the outcome isn't finished yet... Ty for posting 👍👍
Thank you so much. It will look so much better with some trees, buildings and tiny people going about their business.
You Spaced The Cork Out Perfectly Nice👍👍.
Thank you.
Congratulations! Happy Railroading
You're making a lot of progress! Looks great.
Yea! Dave has running trains again, our long national nightmare is over!😁🚅🚂 😁
Those were dark times, but we are through the other side now.
Track layout looks great , glad it's coming to gether
Great job on the 2nd rail. You'll be up into the wee hours running trains. Congratulations on the maiden voyage of the 2nd rail. Cheers from eastern TN
Good job Dave. Looks excellent. 👌
Awesome 👏 🎉
Your music choices are fantastic! Please give titles or artist. You have the most engaging videos!
Grand job on the second loop. Glad to see the loco's were keeping an eye on you 😉😁👍
Great video Dr Dave!!!!full steam ahead!!
Another great video. New track is always exciting and combined with the loco running on the outside loop at the same time… does not get any better. It still scares me that you do not have some sort of railing around on your bridge. Thanks Jeff
Hey Jeff. I'm going to a train show tomorrow, will be on the hunt for a nice bridge to disguise the functional bridge.
Any luck finding a bridge today at the train show? Jeff
Nah, it was a pretty small show.
I'm a bit envious of your double tracks and wide turns. Looks great!
This was only made possible by adding the lift bridge. I didn't like the idea at first, but it's working well, and will look better when I make it an actual nice bridge to look at.
Nice job, Dave. I'm getting my layout construction fix. Good teacher. 🙂😉
Looking good, two loops are twice are good as one 👍🏻
Nice one Dave, two track running, those trains look great running round those big curves. Superb progress dude.
Thanks Brian. I'll be running those BR Locos you gave me at the weekend.
Lookin great. Nice work.
well deserved start over. worth it running wider curves and longer trains. really get to stretch their legs now!
Thank you. Yes, I think for the space I have, 6 full length passenger coaches looks pretty good.
Laying cork may not be your favorite task. But you do a wonderful job, I love seeing folks doing this making the job look easy. I never could do it, so my track has road bed, fastrack .
I use a mix of flex track and sectional track based on how I feel when I am building and I tend to replace the sectional track later if it’s causing problems, but usually it doesn’t if you give it a good clean every once and a while. Right now on my grandfathers layout we are replacing the sectional track and the old switches with flex track and nice walthers switches. Love your layout, Dave, looks great so far
Sectional track is just fine, but it's not great on inclines, especially curved sectional track.
Looking good 👍
Great job Dave!. I'm getting bit by the hobby bug more and more every day. I just need to knock down a wall or two to make space, lol.
It must feel real good to see trains running again. Looks good Great job done so far. Cheers. 👍
Fantastic video waiting to see both trains running
Looks and sounds great.
Great Video thanks * Happy Rails *
Looking good!
Awesome indeed!
great job and trains are running well
Looks great Dave. You could put on some shorter shank couplers on your Delaware Hudson passenger cars now you have the wide curves.
Those are just temp coaches. I'm on the hunt for a more appropriate set
Hi Dave, just AWESOME mate, , you've talked me into doing double track , way more enjoyment, looking forward to the live stream 😎😎😎😎😎😎have a good one mate
Thanks Aussie. I'm really happy I decided to start over before I spent too much time and money on scenery. Can't wait to get started on all the mini world things I had planned, like roads, buildings lighting etc.
@@ScottRails mate im waiting for my free timber from my sons work , 3 weeks now , just should have gone to Bunnings ( hardware store ) and bought it myself, but my son is addiment on the subject of getting me the timber, like he said , more money to spend on choo choo trains , lol so want to drink coffee and watch trains 😄😄😄😄
Grab your what 😂. Love the video's
Looking good! That's where I kinda ended up too - ran out of my used track on my layout. Still have lots of bits and pieces, but no complete lengths. Probably going out to buy more today.
That’s What I’m talking about About🤘🤘🤘🤘.
great video Dave you have given me more inspiration to build my new oo gauge or ho gauge layout
Again bravo Dave. That is a lot of effort. But is‘nt that great to see such long trains gracefully swing by…
Yes, it's glorious.
That Track Plan Is Lookin A Lot Better👍👍👍👍.
Making great progress. Looking very good! Thanks for sharing.
Before Ya Know It Train Party!!
You're so inspiring Dave! Now I need to get started on ripping up my old track and design a new layout. 😊
I seen Mr Dodge funny how we find the same channels, I just subscribed.
You Also do track work. Nice work.
I thought North American trains ran on the right-hand side?
Very good start to your rebuild, and I'm looking forward to the updates.
hey Dave, I thought you might have taken the turnout for your outer staging line just after the station, then that would give you a larger staging area. just a thought. love the videos.
I thought about that, but it would mean another over reaching area in the corner. I plan to make scenic areas in blocks, which I can place in the corners and forget about.
Nice one Dave we could use you over here on HS2😂😂are you going to fill the gaps with sleepers to give a seamless look ,all the best bud
Mark 😊😊
Absolutely. I will also paint over all the solder joins.
I haven't used Atlas turnouts for a long time. But when I did, wires couldn't be soldered to the frogs. They had metal bars that screwed into the frogs which would take solder and allowed the frogs to be powered. Let us know if it's still the same. Thanks.
They have just one little bar with a hole. Still confused what to do with them. I thought there should be two connections.
No. Only one wire to the frog, and the polarity of that wire changes depending on whether the frog needs to be + or - . That's why I love the Tam Valley Frog juicer so much with DCC. 2 wires into the Juicer, one wire to the frog. A Tortoise, or similar under table switch machine does the same thing. @@ScottRails
There isn’t a Home Depot in Canada anywhere within a 200 km radius of me that has those cork sheets in stock.
There’s a Home Depot not far from me in NY state that has some so either I’m fishing out my passport or coming up with an alternative. And you can’t find the conventional Midwest product anywhere either. Every online retailer has them on back order. And Amazon is no help either.
I recently did what you did and ripped up my old layout and now I can’t run any trains for lack of roadbed. Progress at a complete standstill. So frustrating.
I had to wait a week for mine to come in. Is there a global cork shortage or something?
Are you down Niagara way? My local store can have it by march 7th (Hamilton)
@@ScottRails no I’m from southwestern Quebec, about half an hour from Cornwall.
That ‘s When You use sectional Track when Can’t use Flex Track.
🤠🚂👋👍
I dont like trackwork, i just have 3 loops on a 4x8, i aint doing no more.
Hey, if that what makes you happy then go enjoy.
What song is that in this video?
It's just a couple of tunes from the youtube audio library
@@ScottRails Oh. It's a neat little tune. And neat video as well. Cheers!
👍🫡✌️
Nice job Dave what’s the radius ? Great video and share enjoy the rest of your day. Till the next one Keep it on the trackssss 😎🚂🫵TSM
30 and 28 i think the 2 big loops are and I think the inner 3rd loop is a mix of 19 and 20 22 or something like that
28" and 30". I think it's a pretty good compromise of space and running.
Looks great Dave. Well done
