I worked at Blockbuster when this came out and it ended up being one of my favorite movies ever. Still a cult classic that deserves so much more! I still quote it to this day-- "Satan says you need more color!" among others...
It's great to see John Waters and P. Hearst here. And yeah, watching this in 2012 is a kick. It just amazes me to think that conservatives are all whipped up about Israel for their own biblical/political reasons, but will not vote for a jew. The disconnect is incredible.

Yeah, so true. The REAL joke of this clip, which Im sure John Waters got, is that Bill Maher put on the cast of Cecil B Demented with an obscure evangelist. Obviously there's some great tension, and room for Waters to shine.

Bob Larson totally belongs on this panel. Come on ya'll, this guy's career revolved around talking to demons on the phone and interviewing death metal singers and being so irritating they'd start growling threats at him. Just search for some old radio clips, true 1980's/early 90's camp gold.
Larson in another PI show with comedian Jackie Mason did the idiotic act of pushing his chair closer to Maher, blocking the camera on Mason, who naturally became annoyed. Mason managed a few good digs a larson expense while the dimwit sat there without a clue.
John Waters is one of my favourite human beings ever. Top 5 for sure.
