When the first truck does a full pull, you need to rethink the sled & the track! This was definitely more full pulls than I'm used to seeing at a single competition.
That 6.4 power, part of why they're unreliable out of the box. Navistar pushed em to make insane power. Detuned they're incredibly reliable, I drove one every day for about a year, loved that truck. Always started no matter how cold it was.
Seems like they need a longer track for some of these trucks, and these are basically stock trucks off the dealership. Though every pull I've been to truck or tractor a full pull is 300ft and I live in Maine , we have some nice fairs but this is supposed to be the championship or nationals or something? I remember the first year the big fair here had the diesel category there was a one dodge pickup all done up for pulling and that truck dragged the sled out the door well past 300ft, literally had to put the brakes on or he could.od dragged that sled home with him haha. Before that it was always just tractors, 2x4 gas pickups and 4x4 gas pickups , all done up for pulling but the diesel were another animal all together, even stock pickups , literally trucks used for work on a Friday and pulling on Sunday and out pulling gas trucks completely built for pulling.
Its not a test. Its a pulling competition. Pull the weight transfer sled as far as you can. The further down the track, the more friction/heavier the sled will get.

Lol no. If you make it to the pile you go to the pull off. Anyone dumb enough to put it 5’ in the air is just doin it for the gram. They can pay to fix their own junk.
That is the drivers doing that, we don't make them do that. In fact, we asked them not to do it. Touch the sand, its a full pull is the norm. Driver adrenaline takes over and they climb the sand. Crowd loves it
Atleast Chevy makes their own engines and transmissions. cause if "Fiat Chrysler Stelantis " made thier own Diesels and Transmission they would be garbage just like anything else they make . Ram has to buy their engines from Cummins and their transmissions from Toyota "Aisin" those first gen Duramax were reliable but not strong for pulling heavy things. The new ones pull anything with no problems. Those older cummins last 500k miles but you have to go through atleast 4 transmissions 🤣😂
@@CrazyTurbo-cx8ye yes sir I sure do I own a 2021 GMC Sierra 3500HD with the duramax. And an 2021 Western Star 49x with a Detroit Diesel so come again I know all about Diesel engines.
I may be a chevy guy but at the end of the day Cummins has a Duramax and Powerstroke beat due to the fact it has a better low-end torque while chevy and ford both have a higher rpm to even get moving
That’s not true at all the 6.7 powerstroke makes 1050 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm. Ram needs to be high CUmMInS output to get 1,000 lb-ft at 1,800 rpm
This is what I was thinking there was a shortened wheelbase ram 3500, all of them had exhausts and tunes and at least intakes. Either the class is stock turbo and stock motor, or just stock motor.
What a ridiculous venue. A full pull is 252 feet, but there's a mound of dirt ready to jack your truck up at 255 feet AND the weights are small enough that the majority of the competitors either hit the wall or have to lift before stopping.
That 6.4 was like "aight, I'm gonna grab my cracked piston and head on outta here"
That black Ram was too nice to be slamming it into that mound and then into the sled!

That's because their pulling inside and their isn't 300 feet for a track so they run 250 as a FP and just make the box come up faster!
