Work stock isnt the same as Stock class guys. It allows for some modifications but has tight restrictions on how big of a turbo and injector you can go etc. But the ones with ballasts on the front etc are not work stock at all. Also 6:46 i cant tell if he just let the truck upshift 2-3 to many times, or if the truck is burning through the convertor. But that thing sounds lugged and choked the whole time
03 was the 6.0 right? That truck was a beast.. ive heard and read so much mixed stuff about 6.0s if you build them with head studs and delete egr and other emission nonsense there great and ive heard the opposite tht no matter what there garbage go with the older 7.3. So idk what to think about em anymore lol
@@jdubskiwright2380 head studs are only important if you're pushing huge boost, all they really need is coolant filter and 2003-2005 needs an oil cooler upgrade. The EGR delete should be obvious, but the EGR is problematic on every platform.
@@ripperlipper1016 there was about 342k miles on that yoke, and about 120k on the ujoint, along with 30 passes down the pulling track. I’ll take that longevity out of a part any day 😂

They just do not get the power range up in enough time to gain momentum. D-Max gets you that early power, and for the most part, they stay there. Of course, the D-Max is an Isuzu, and Cummins is for generators and tractors; they're only called trucks. I'm the only Ford guy who would suggest the D-Max for these events.
