Brook Sherman Agreed. While you don't have to spend a fortune to get good eye shadows, the major drugstore brands definitely need to work on their formulas.
I have one of those maybelline palettes - the blush nudes one. It's what I would call "ok" ... The flat shades are better than the shimmer ones across the board, and they don't stack up to the application of any UD naked set I've ever used. Not exactly comparable IMO.
Veronica Martinez i thought the same!!! you can TELL its more expensive..i would agree to use cheaper lipstick. or mascara but not eyeshadows or blusher. i didnt find any differences between expensive and cheap eyeliner.
In my opinion, the must to invest in makeup is a good foundation. I see the difference between drugstore and high end. The eyeshadows, too. Generally, the high end ones are more pigmented and got a better texture that will last long in time. On the other hand, I think the rest in fine, especially mascaras. For example, I find some from L'Oréal looking better on me than other higher priced ones. I think the important is to find the wand and formula that works well with your eyelashes.
Sure, I completely agree. Moreover, that's important to find the foundation that feats well with our skin (I would not recommand a luminous finish to someone having oily skin, for example). After, concerning my own experience, I still find that high end foundations generally tend to be better (finish, lasting in time, etc.). I had a lot of excellent surprises with Armani, for example.
Laura yes it's all about preference, your skin type and the product. So far my fav foundation is a drug store brand and I've tried every high end some I liked some I didn't
Slime Girls123 agreed. MUG $6 & ColourPop $5 ea. has such a variety that's affordable. At least invest in a great set of mattes. Drug store shimmers don't have as much prob as mattes. I do agree to buy mascara & eyeliner @ drugstore.
*I once went to Chanel store; the salesperson was so pushy that I ended up buying the cheapest hand held mirror* 😂I came home and saw myself in the mirror..for that price it should have made me look like a million bucks but I was still the same old potato😅😅 Moral of the story: stick to drug store.
Vibha B If I could make a recommendation : I'm pretty much obsessed with the Bourjois brand, they're not that expenses and the quality is outstanding. I've received found out it's Chanel's baby sister company. So check it out if you can find it
That's actually a good idea because most of the fine, it ends up expiring before you can even use the whole product which is frustrating and feels like a waste of money.
darklausal23 they last on me for a while and I actually got a small pallet from dollar tree and lasted all day (it surprised me) were did you get yours or what kind of eye-shadow did you get?
Jools Humes no I’ll tell you eyeshadow a great duplicate of urban decay is physicians formula I’ve found that these two brands are nearly the same with the sparkly not shimmer..... and hard candy has amazing mattes that are highly pigmented.... also use water on your brush with the cheaper shadows and more pigment will end up on your eyes
darklausal23 I find that to be a lie I have oily skin and I never had an issue with cheaper shadows. The eye shadows I use is covergirk cream shadows, physicians formula for sparkly eye shadows and hard candy for their matte ones and they are amazing....
Deja Spriggs tru plus I hate that maybelline eyeshadow palette when I used it. It was so dusty and barely had any pigment+ a lot of fallout. It doesn't rlly last either. There's only like 3 colors in the palette that I like. I would just get the naked palette. There are good drugstore palettes but there's defiantly a difference
Deja Spriggs actually theyre pretty much spot on. im not a part of the youtube community & have tested make for many many yrs. i barley own any high end makeup because its just not worth it. i personally love most drugstore makeup
maybelline eyeshadow palette is a really bad drugstore example. They should've tried essence or wet n wild. I own both high end and drugstore eyeshadow and I find wet n wild eyeshadow is really up there.
Here's a list of good drug store makeups I tried and approved. foundation: Maybelline fit me foundation or Wet n wild photo focus foundation Concealer: Maybelline fit me concealer Setting powder: Rimmel stay matte powder Mascara: Cover girl lash blast mascara in orange Brow pencil NYX micro brow pencil Eyeshadow pallet: Carli bybel's 21 color eyeshadow and highlighter pallet Eyeliner: physician formula eye booster lash boosting eyeliner Bronzer: physician formula butter bronzer Blush: Milani baked blush, Wet n wild blush Lips: any Revlon, Maybelline or Rimmel lipsticks Setting spray: Milani setting spray Hope this helps! I'm only 13 so sorry if you finds grammar mistakes. Leave a comment if you have questions❤️
L’Oréal and Milani lip products are also good and I like Rimmel and Revlon foundations too. Fit me is great as well. I don’t agree with the video that you have to spend a lot on foundation or concealer
If you have an expensive mascara make sure to wash and keep the wand because that is the most expensive part of the product. The actual mascara costs very little. You can use the old wand to brush out the clumps of the new mascara you have applied or use it as a spoolie for your brows if it's the right shape.
belle ? Sounds like an eye infection waiting to happen unless you can fit the old wand to fit into the new tube and replace the new wand completely and screw the product closed
Maybelline has the WORST eyeshadows ! However, Sephora"s eyeshadow is poppin in 2017. Nyx is also what's up in the lipstick department.Big up to all drugstore/affordable make up for broke people like me lol
I hate it when you go to the drugstore to buy products, buy a ton, come home, watch videos on how to create a basic look, and then you realize YOU CAN'T PUT ON MAKEUP BECAUSE YOU SUCK. Anyone else?
I am not convinced at the eyeshadow part. The expensive eyeshadow is much better. I personally used drugstore vs high end eyeshadow and the high end one was so much more worth it.
Also, keeping your makeup brushes and applicators clean helps in the longevity of your makeup. Clean natural bristles with baby shampoos, reshape brush and lay flat to dry.
I don't even go for the usual mascara brands, I pick the cheap of the cheapest.. in Mexico they're usually made with natural oils (almond, mamey or avocado seeds), and unlike the brand/drugstore kinds, those don't ruin the work I did with the curler
Good tip about mascara is that majority of the price you pay is for the wand and the advice given in cosmetology is to clean the wand you like the most and use it with cheaper brands
vicky leao Same...maybe even from 6 years ago. I'm very rarely wearing make up...what's the point of buying a new one if I just wear them twice a year... I just bought some (a lil bit) expensive lipsticks, blush, and eye shadows and they last for eternity... 😅 The only products I buy regularly every couple of months are face wash, sun block, and lip balm... 😂
vicky leao depending on what the product is it should be fine. If ur using 3 yr old foundation and mascara u might want to replace it, but with eyeshadow or another powder product-u should be fine. I use 3 year old eyeshadow palettes bc I'm not spending another $54 on a new one😂
I think I'm using products from about 9 years ago. If you keep your brushes and hands clean and store your makeup in a cool, dry, dark place it'll have no problem lasting.
I have both high end eye shadow palettes and drug store and it just depends on the palette. I've had really good luck with drug store eye shadows even if they are more powdery there is absolutely no difference in color payoff or longevity. I think a lot of ppl just want to justify spending a fortune on high end palettes. I love them too, don't get me wrong. But I don't think they are way better. Elf, MUR, even W&W have very nice shadows that rival high end. I even bought a palette at my local Dollar Tree recently for $2.50 and was blown away!
I agree with so many comments here... The side more expensive is "better looking" than cheaper one what concerns to eyeshadow and lipstick. It's well known that mascaras from L'Óreal and Maybelline works very well, but sometimes you get some high end mascaras for a good price (at least, here in Europe see in Primor and compare) and you start to think in purchase the "high end option" (c'mon, who doesn't love a beautiful packaging?). In eyeshadows, Maybelline has some great eyeshadows, but not palettes. I love the pigmentation of the individuals Color Tattoo and they deserve a try but not the others in drugstore. There's an huge difference in the finish, usually drugstore eyeshadows looks more chalky and some ingredients are slightly different (some includes parabens). I think that in makeup, what you can hv from drugstore are mascaras (but before purchase, compare the prices), nail polish (Chanel is widely known for having a short lasting for the price), some lipsticks (for example, the lipsticks from Rimmel London, Lasting Finish ones) and blushes (I love NYX ones, they are so pigmentated!) but in some cases, the finish deserve a splurge, such as some highlighters and blushes from NARS for example. For sure there are eyeshadows for a great price such as the palettes from sleek, with a good pigmentation but in my opinion they aren't equivalent. I hope this comment helps someone (and sorry for bad English ).
when the comment is related to the video but the comments to this comment arent :) seriously. she's talking about the video, not bts. you want some bts? go to bangtantv instead
I totally disagree on the what was said about the eyeshadows. I always opt for more expensive eyeshadows because they are blendable and more pigmented. And if I buy a cheaper eyeshadow and have to apply more to get the look I'm wanting them that means I'm going to have to keep going back to buy more of it. But I do agree on the face part about spending more on foundation. I've also been having better luck with drug store highlighters like wet n wilds than my luxury ones.
Kelly Sykes I recently purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette and it was beautiful until I realized I was horribly allergic to it, it has been returned to the store now. I stick to my Coastal Scents eyeshadows, they honestly blend just as beautifully, cost a ton less, and don't cause my eyes any allergy problems.
Generally, I prefer drugstore mascaras. But if you want a high end mascara, just get the minis, they're pretty much drugstore price and last a few months. I love the Benefit "They're Real" mascara (Maybelline Rocket is a close dupe), I get it in the mini and the Urban Decay Perversion in the mini. Essence Lash Princess (my favorite drugstore mascara) is a dupe for the IT Cosmetics superhero mascara and Maybelline Lash Sensational is a dupe for Benefit Roller Lash. I hope this saves someone a few bucks 😊
I got a three dollar I shadow palette and I hated it. Then I got a way more expensive palette from the same brand, and it was way better than the other one!
when it comes to powder products, once a month I spray them with 100 percent rubbing alcohol - it will kill 90 percent of bacteria/mold... however if you keep them longer, you have to ask yourself - should I buy another 50.00 eye shadow palette, or spend 200-500 bucks at the eye doctor and risk losing my vision/eyes to save 50 bucks?
Well, mymymy... Eyeshadow is immortal, if you spray it with rubbing alcohol every now and again it'll kill any nasties. I have some lipsticks I've had for 12 years, I think they're still okay, haven't worn them for a while but I don't want to part with them.
Comparing how the makeup looks isn't by just the finish result, you also have to see how long wearing it is and the pigmentation. As for eye shadow, fallout is usually in the drugstore.
I don't buy cheap mascaras cuz I don't want my eyes to sting and that stuff gets clumpy it ain't cute on me. I like to buy high end mascaras in the mini version because it's the same price as drugstore and ur getting the same product. Will also last 3-6 months until u need to change it.
Lovi Lyall I actually think most luxury makeup is actually tested on animals, like you would be surprised how many big brands with lots of money do, there are drugstore brands like wet n wild and essence which are vry cheap that don't test on animals whilst maybelline and loreal are huge drugstore brands who def have the money to stop testing on animals but they still do, personally I think it comes down to ethics, wether a company choses economic benefit over animal welfare, loreal tests when acquired by law, if they cared enough they would stop shipping to such country but they care more about money so there u go
I agree with nina's comment on ethics concerning makeup. Some high end brands do test on animals. I learnt not long ago that a company has to test on animals if it wants to sell in China, for example. Otherwise, nothing will enter. With the juicy market that reprensents this country, I think a lot of brands put the cruelty part aside, sadly.
I actually like the drugstore make up better because I don't really wear makeup but if I do, it's very little and for such little makeup, I prefer it cheap but satisfying.
It depends on the drugstore brand , if anyone wants cheap but good eyeshadows I recommend makeup revolution, I LOVE their products and the prices are really reasonable , €8 for a pigmented eyeshadow pallet with around 20 eyeshadows I think? It’s great either way!
I find that it makes sense to get a pallet of really cheap eye colors from the drugstore. I can use them to try out different trends and choose a look I like. Then I buy those same colors in the best premium make-up. That way I don't have to spend a lot of money trying a look that doesn't really flatter me.
All of these high end makeup brands were not available in the 90s, so back then everyone used drug store makeup. The drug stored do have some good mascara, pencil liners, lipsticks, blush, but I always hated the chalky, opaque and low pigmented eye shadows that don't last, the drug store foundations make my face look too pink and greasy. I'm so glad that nowadays we have more option and better makeup quality with technology from low end to high end. I do prefer the high end eyeshadows, makeup brushes, foundations, primers. It was about time.
I loved the Lush color corrector, but they stopped it. I'm not sure what I'll do there, but when it comes to eye shadow, I love Hard Candy. For a Walmart brand, it's cruelty free, and they have a lot of different color options. Cruelty free is something I look for in any makeup.
Try Maybelline's COLOSSAL mascara (around $8). It separates and lengthens absolutely effortlessly. It is by far better than any $$$ mascara I've ever tried
I just don't bother with high-end mascara, at all, anymore. There are sooooo many excellent drugstore mascaras out there that it just doesn't make sense to me to spend so much money. My current favourites that give good volume, length & definition are the Maybelline "Lash Sensational", Covergirl's "The Super Sizer" and the "I ♡ Extreme" mascara from Essence. That last one only costs a few dollars and the waterproof & non-waterproof versions are equally excellent 😊
Buy your favorite luxury mascara only once, its mainly the wand not the formula. So just keep the wand when you throw tube out and use cheap mascara formula from then on
The difference is the Kat Von D eyeliner dries faster, it lasts longer and you only need to apply it once for a dark pigment. Honestly glad I switched my eye makeup things to better brands 🤷
i like the more expensive eyeshadows, lipsticks and brushes. i love the cheaper foundation doesnt feel as suffocating on my skin. brows, mascara and eyeliner can go either way.
Liquid foundation, "StayPut" by N07 in drug stores is better than all of the high end foundations I have ever tried. Med-full coverage Demi-matte to satin finish... and it stays put!!
12:58 actually, no. You can't base the price of a single eyeshadow on the price of the whole palette. It's actually a $2 Revlon eyeshadow (8 divided by 4), vs a $5,8 Urban Decay shadow (58 divided by 10).
Tip: never use high end brands. That way you won't have a highend comparison. I will not splurge my money for cosmetics. Maybe skincare but still for a fair amount
Me, who is prone to acne even putting small amount of foundation/powder have to test different brands that suits to my skin. And to my experience, most products at the drugstores make my skin irritated. So I stick with expensive ones that makes my skin feel okay and safe
I have a question about the eye make-up: are both equally safe to use? I asked once in the drugstore ones if they were hypoallergenic and ophthalmologist tested and they didn't know the answer while in Sephora they made me feel safer about the stuff I'm putting in my eyes. You know which brands are safe?
Wow. You bet! I prefer to spend more money on foundation and eyeshadow. But the most important you need to know is the technique how to apply make up, especially for the foundie, since it's a bit tricky
I think you should splurge if you can afford to. Higher end makeup lines tend to be much more consistent, contain higher quality ingredients, and are put together with more care. I really wish drugstores had testers so we could know which particular color sucks and which one is okay.
A lot of the time, skill has a lot to do with performance. You can make drugstore makeup look very high end if you blend it well enough and have a light enough hand when needed.
For eyeshadow, I find nearly any from Nyx or makeup revolution (ranging from $6-20 for a palette) performs just as well as eyeshadow from brands like Tart and Urban decay (usually $40+). Same for blush and contour powders. Lip stick is a bit more hit or miss. Base: you usually get what you pay for. Mascara: drug store allllll the way. It’s more about application than anything else.
Also, Lancome mascara, Hypnôse along with primer by Lancome called CILS Booster XL is amazing!! I'm a mascara junky and I will put on the primer let it dry for two minutes then apply 4-5 layers of mascara and it turns out great. btw, I have short eyelashes and hooded eyelids but after I do my lashes it looks like I have long, thick lashes and my hooded eyelids aren't so noticeable.
Loreal has a new liquid eyeshadow line and they are super pigmented and last all day. I didn't use eyeshadow base and it lasted all day on me. They are around 9 bucks but it has two colors. I say this because I agree that eyeshadows suck most of the time when bought on drugstores.
I've come to the conclusion that the lip products and eyeshadows I've tried really differ in quality. Learning my lesson, I've stopped being tempted to buy cheaper (NYX & other) lipsticks, and just bought a few MAC & Estee Lauder lipsticks instead. Worth it to me. I used to use other eyeshadows but now swear by Fyrrinae shadows. They're second to none.
Nadia Mio Maybelline ia definitely not expensive in Brazil. For example, the Fit me Foundation here (the Brazilian version) is 38 reais or something around 12 dollars. Most Maybelline products here are between 8 to 16 dollars.
L'Oréal doesnt sell makeup here, except the primer which is around 12 dollars And the BB Cream around 10 dollars. L'Oréal os massive here in hair products (also not expensive)
Maquiagem para Eles She said Latin America as a whole dude, not just Brasil, and Maybiline is very expensive when you realize is the same quality as ruby rose, vult and nuisance.
I've used the Maybelline nudes palette they showed as well as an Urban Decay palette (not the Naked palette, though). The Maybelline shadows aren't as pigmented, don't go on as smoothly, don't blend as well, and don't stay in place. Within an hour of applying my makeup all of my shadow had migrated to the crease. Granted I have hooded eyes so migration is always an issue, but I have much fewer problems with high end eye shadow than I do with drugstore eyeshadow.
Sometimes, the look isn't the only thing that's important. Ingredients in some drugstore brands can clog pores, cause breakouts, chip and break nails, etc. I find higher end brands to be a healthier choice sometimes, and taking cruelty free into consideration, many luxury brands are.
im a make up artist and lover and i tried all kind of make up.i use pupa, loreal, meybeline, careline, essence and more.not allways expensive brands are the better ones
more expensive eyeshadow is less chalky and has more pigment, as well as being easier to blend and less patchy. imo the lipsticks also were different, with the expensive side on the last example looking much nicer and less patchy
I disagree on the eyeshadows.. the more expensive one on the right looked much better- not as chalky or blotchy as the cheap left side.
Brook Sherman Agreed. While you don't have to spend a fortune to get good eye shadows, the major drugstore brands definitely need to work on their formulas.
The drugstore side looks dirty and muddy,i agree.
Brook Sherman
Yes however, you can make any eyeshadow look good with a primer.

Veronica Martinez yeah the cheap side is horrendous thank god drugstore makeup actually does look better than that.
Veronica Martinez hi plz subscribe to my channel m a beginner need lots of support thank u
Veronica Martinez yeah the cheap side looked patchy
In all cases! yeah

Laura I agree on the eyeshadows, but Tbh I love most of my drugstore foundations way more than my high end ones
Laura not really.. it all depends on what product you buy. There is always going to be good and bad in both drugstore and high end.
Ok, that's interesting ^^ I would have thought more of the contrary (cheap brands like KIKO are nice concerning eyeshadows).

I hate it when you go to the drug store to get eyeshadow then when you put it on there is like no pigment and it barely shows up.
Slime Girls123
that's primark make up for ya
Try Morphe it's an online brand, they have 35 colour palettes for $19.99 - $22.99 the quality is amazing! There are also a lot of colour options.
Slime Girls123 makeup geek single eyeshadows are $6.00 theyre pigmented and super blendable
Make up revolution is affordable and pretty pigmented
Slime Girls123 agreed. MUG $6 & ColourPop $5 ea. has such a variety that's affordable. At least invest in a great set of mattes. Drug store shimmers don't have as much prob as mattes. I do agree to buy mascara & eyeliner @ drugstore.

Saya Beast wasn't coco Chanel a nazi?
Hey its Haley yeah. did a project on her and was traumatized
Saya Beast still, being a nazi sympathizer isn't exactly good either
Bianca Nathan That's just a mental block then. Nothing wrong with window shopping to get ideas for when you can buy!
Vibha B If I could make a recommendation : I'm pretty much obsessed with the Bourjois brand, they're not that expenses and the quality is outstanding. I've received found out it's Chanel's baby sister company. So check it out if you can find it
Here's a mascara tip
If you can get the small/ travel size mascara so that you don't waste a lot of mascara! I hope this kind of helped!👌🏻
bryannah cordova Also, buying a pack of individual wands to use too. Saves the product :)
bryannah cordova I have never biught mascara as it always seems to be the "free gift" when I buy other products
That's actually a good idea because most of the fine, it ends up expiring before you can even use the whole product which is frustrating and feels like a waste of money.
Most of the time*
bryannah cordova Yup. That’s what I do too. ☺️
wtf the eye shadow is WAY better on the $$$$$$ side
Right!
Jools Humes I have oily eye lids, even with primer, cheap eye shadows don't last on me 😐

Sadaf Khan salaam plz subscribe to my channel m a beginner need lots of support thank u
Sadaf Khan Hahahahahaha I feel bad for u
Then go to shop.missa.com Everything is a buck
You can buy high end if you just buy what you need. Dont buy like five foundations and ten eyeshadow palettes, one or two of each is all you need.
Same here
What I've learned from this video: stay the hell away from those maybelline eyeshadows
I agree 👍👍👍
Their eyeshadows suck but the under eye concealer is really good .
I'm screaming "jo-jo-ba oil" it's "ho-ho-ba oil"
kara s Depends... for exemplo In Portuguese it is "Jo-Jo-ba".
kara s some countries say it "yo yo ba oil"
yeah, but she's speaking english in america soooo
kara s I liked your profile picture before I clicked on it and realized it was't a picture of a good looking guy
Right 😂😂
WHAT THE DRUGSTORE EYESHADOW LOOKS TERRIBLE
In the eyeshadow and lipstick side the expensive one went waaayyy better. The people who made this video must not be in the youtube beauty community.
Deja Spriggs tru plus I hate that maybelline eyeshadow palette when I used it. It was so dusty and barely had any pigment+ a lot of fallout. It doesn't rlly last either. Kelly Leung physicians formula also makes amazing mascara
Yup Maybelline Fit Me is really good
L’Oréal and Milani lip products are also good and I like Rimmel and Revlon foundations too. Fit me is great as well. I don’t agree with the video that you have to spend a lot on foundation or concealer
Good!

Wet n' Wild is taking over.

And I just discovered their gel lip liner which is as good as any lip liner I've ever used! I'm so happy to have found it.

Man! I wish I commented that
Kaitlyn NLGlove naw, it was more like "dang it, why didn't think of that!"

Jasmine wong I don't even get why the web always mention them, they suck, could do so much better with less or same price
Jasmine wong well it works really good for me maybe you can try again doing a better apliccation 😀
I hate it when you go to the drugstore to buy products, buy a ton, come home, watch videos on how to create a basic look, and then you realize YOU CAN'T PUT ON MAKEUP BECAUSE YOU SUCK. Anyone else?
Amy Ahme
I'm so blind that I can't see what I'm doing. Put on the glasses and gasp.
Me + eyeshadow = a kindergartener with finger paint...
I could tell which eye look was more expensive right away
the way she said jojoba... CRINGGGGGE
Ikr
Nooooooo the more expensive eye shadow looked soooooooooo much better to me
Kuan Chan Which expensive eyeshadow did they use? Urban Decay?
$8.00 is considered cheap? Wow.... $147.00 for a complete face. I'm so going makeup free. Gotta save the bucks💰💵
It’s not like you run out of it the week you use it
Ugh $8 vs $40? Hell yeah
Ha??
8 Usd is cheap. Imagine how many people need to take a percentage of that product's price
$8 is cheap for makeup.
What did you expect 2 cents?
I am not convinced at the eyeshadow part. The expensive eyeshadow is much better. I personally used drugstore vs high end eyeshadow and the high end one was so much more worth it.
This feels sponsored

usagi18 those are amazing unfortunately they last the lesser because of the natural oils but is fine because they don't break the bank 😁
E.L.F. is the best dupe line
Good tip about mascara is that majority of the price you pay is for the wand and the advice given in cosmetology is to clean the wand you like the most and use it with cheaper brands
*I have an ancient Victorian Era mascara tube in my makeup bag. Totally gonna sell it on eBay under antiques section* YASSSSSS 😜😛😜
Vibha B Tube mascaras didn't exist until the late 1950's.
Vibha B Shes right. You must be mistaken.
ROSE K Thank you, Someone understood the joke 😂
My advice is to splurge on makeup like Foundations, and matte liquid lipsticks. You should save on blushes and bronzer and splurge on hilighter.

Comparing Tom Ford and Benefit is amusing as they are both brands that you find in department stores/prestige make-up stores.
I use products from 3 years ago :{
ew thats gross.
vicky leao
Same...maybe even from 6 years ago.
I use 3 year old eyeshadow palettes bc I'm not spending another $54 on a new one😂
vicky leao girl i know
I think I'm using products from about 9 years ago.
Colorpop eyeshadows are affordable and yet amazing! I would definately recommend the brand.

Most of what you pay for is packaging- I repeat, most of what you pay for is packaging!
(cough0lay)
Chu Char _looks at two faced_
+Sukeerti Shrestha it's TooFaced, and their makeup is terrible (from my own personal experiences, of course)
Nobody throws products away by the “expiration date”. I have eyeshadow palettes and foundation I’ve had for 2 years and they still look good.
when it comes to powder products, once a month I spray them with 100 percent rubbing alcohol - it will kill 90 percent of bacteria/mold... however if you keep them longer, you have to ask yourself - should I buy another 50.00 eye shadow palette, or spend 200-500 bucks at the eye doctor and risk losing my vision/eyes to save 50 bucks?
is the TheTalko and The Things aren't the same
sunny lee I think they are!!
Yeah.I mean the girl voice in The Things sound similar from the girl is The Talko right?
yeah and they lost their videos at the same time, at 3:00 o clock
Also the trendy posts at the same time too!
Rarity Cutie101 I know Right
I have a L'Oreal shadow duo that is ~25 years old. Still use it once in a while! ;-)
And wet and wild highlight precious petals is awesome

I don't buy cheap mascaras cuz I don't want my eyes to sting and that stuff gets clumpy it ain't cute on me. I like to buy high end mascaras in the mini version because it's the same price as drugstore and ur getting the same product. Will also last 3-6 months until u need to change it.
Katie I have had nasty allergic reactions to high end mascaras but I have never had allergic reactions to any drugstore mascara I have used.
That's strange. I think I mainly react to waterproof mascara but I drugstore ones don't go well on me.
Katie very true
The reason why some brand name makeup are expensive is because they dont test on animals compare to loreal and other drugstore make up.
I did not say all.
Sure :) My point was just that the price of a brand probably does not depend on tests (cheap brands like Wet n Wild don't test on them, for example).
Laura I saw your point already and I didn't say all cheap brand use tests.
I like drugstore makeup like if you agree
Wet N' Wild has been stepping up their game! Quickly becoming my fav brand. Also cruelty free***
Drugstores don't have testers... At least not in the US.
Maybelline Great Lash will always be my absolute favorite mascara. It's been caring for my lashes for about 38 years.
It’s SO worth it to take the 30 seconds to comment::: Wet N Wild’s photo focus foundation is SO GOOD and it’s only $4-$6!
I actually like the drugstore make up better because I don't really wear makeup but if I do, it's very little and for such little makeup, I prefer it cheap but satisfying.
The eyeshadow comparison is not identical.
I finally bought the classic pink and green mascara from Maybeline, and holy wow! 😳 it works amazing and it's so cheap. Drugstore isn't bad at all
I like Maybeline and Rimmel the most also ELF and NYX I would spurge in MAC and Urban Decay because I like those brands
The high end stuff looked way better each time you showed the comparison looks
When there's Benefit's They're Real in the middle of the drugstore mascara photo.
When you’re poor there’s little choice in the matter... I’ve only ever worn “drug store makeup” and it does me wonders. 👌🏾
I prefer high end foundation, concealer, blush eyeshadow and highlighter. Mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss/lipstick from the drugstore works for me.
Try Maybelline's COLOSSAL mascara (around $8). It separates and lengthens absolutely effortlessly. It is by far better than any $$$ mascara I've ever tried
My favorite drugstore mascara, it's fabulous!
If I can't get my eye shadow to look blended correctly, a little brush of face powder improves it a great deal I find.
, the elf highlighter is baked so you have to scratch the top layer off &it works pretty decent
If you want a damn good highlighter try wet & wild!! Even Jeffree Star approves!! 🌟💖🌟💖🌟💖🌟
I think the finishing results can sometimes depend on what type of tools are used to apply the products and the method that is used to apply them.
I'm drugstore all day...mainly because where I live there are no high end beauty stores😂
iLoveKpop242 you don't live near a jc penny?
Gabe Petro JC Penny? There are no JC Penny's in The Bahamas 😂I wish. I live on an island
i like the more expensive eyeshadows, lipsticks and brushes. i love the cheaper foundation doesnt feel as suffocating on my skin. brows, mascara and eyeliner can go either way.
Liquid foundation, "StayPut" by N07 in drug stores is better than all of the high end foundations I have ever tried. Med-full coverage Demi-matte to satin finish... and it stays put!!
I’m glad i’m not the only one who find the highend side looks better
12:58 actually, no. You can't base the price of a single eyeshadow on the price of the whole palette. It's actually a $2 Revlon eyeshadow (8 divided by 4), vs a $5,8 Urban Decay shadow (58 divided by 10).
some of my elf makeup wears nicer than mac. furthermore some highends have lead in them - RESEARCH
Tip: never use high end brands. That way you won't have a highend comparison.
I will not splurge my money for cosmetics. Maybe skincare but still for a fair amount
Eyeshadow is my favorite makeup product. I love to experiment with different colors
I prefer high-end makeup because of its quality and packaging but I sure do enjoy my drugstore gems👍!!
They're second to none.
you say Maybelline and Loreal are cheep? Here in Latin America is really expensive and they sell it like it's the best!
Lash stiletto is in my opinion the best mascara I've ever used!!!
did any one else think the testing eye shadow the cheaper one look a little better
