It is very unlikely that the CDI drains the battery, since its not actually connected to the battery unless the ignition is turned on. More likely is that you've got a bad ground somewhere. try running a new wire from the battery negative to the engine, and see if that helps.

Is it possible that the CDI drains the battery while at rest? Since I installed the Racing CDI, it's harder to start in the morning?
