Also worth mentioning: in Running Away, Woody can be seen pretending to play the (unplugged, unamplified) acoustic guitar that was part of the "background furniture". When Joey moves to saxophone, Woody moves to the piano, but there is a small no-piano gap in between which makes me think that Woody was supposed to get to the piano immediately as Joey was switching instrument, but got distracted by being silly with the guitar, missed the deadline and arrived late.
@@kennondrum so I thought! but the iPhone was on a gimbal and I don't see any cables going from it to the phone, search for "Cory Wong's reaction to tiny instruments jam" here in youtube, impressive!
Man, whatever it is that happened to Dosik's finger, imagine how he must have felt at the time. A show at the Square coming up, and every instrument he plays benefits from fully-functioning fingers. I'm glad he was able to make it, with no signs of slowing down either. This was such a cool concert.
Jack once said Woody has a degree in Biology - hence the Birdwatcher and the Prof character. He´s also the one of the originals Vulfpeck members, who puts by far the most new original content out on RUclips since Covid (of course, Cory is now on a whole new level :) )
True dude, Charles Jones made his appearance on "Running Away" followed by the song "Baby I Don't Know Oh Oh" and just sneaked into the rest of the show 😂😂
Great video! 3. Richie also performed with Vulf (maybe for the first time live?) in Central Park the night before the 2016 Brooklyn Bowl run. That was my first time seeing the guys with Antwaun, Cory, Joey, and of course Purdie! An unforgettable show.
One thing I've noticed in the MSG show, that I'm not entirely sure of, is who is sitting in the chair by the sofas with Charles Jones and Nate Smith, starting at Back Pocket, through Aunt Leslie. He's in a grey T-shirt, comes out from backstage along with Nate Smith. It looks like Mark Lettieri, which would make sense, since he's a part of The Fearless Flyers. Otherwise, all the people appearing on stage (on instruments or in the couches) are credited in the desciption, I believe
Ryan doesn't actually trip on the pedal board, the stabilizer freaks out for some reason, you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/1Ovz3Zc5fEY/видео.html
I have a friend who plays electric pianos predominantly, and when I sent him the video he said I was gonna get in trouble with some people for calling it a Rhodes because it’s a CP70. I use Rhodes to describe an electric piano in general, but it is definitely incorrect here. Hope you could still enjoy ;)
6. I remember reading somewhere that the entire monitor mix went down during Christmas in LA, hard to tell when from the video cause they're all so damn professional.. Anyone know any more about this?
The crowd lost all sound for a pretty decent chunk of the singalong and the actual song itself. Presumably stage monitors and in-ear for the band were fine, because they kept going without a hitch

I'm surprised that iPhone's battery lasted through the whole show.
probably had a p o w e r b a n k

Merely recording video, most phones will last more than 2 hours. More impressive was the battery of that gimbal. Mine never lasted that long.

2:39 the band is so good that even the cameraguy from the show plays guitar.
He's Ryan Lerman and he originally wrote Baby I Don't Know.
You missed "the lick" that Woody does on the organ while playing smile meditation

The Fearless Flyers (subsidiary of Vulfpeck™) has a song named The Birdwatcher on their latest album, Tailwinds.
@@attiladobo6786 They cover other Vulfpeck originals as well. 😊

Damn. I was there but I still missed these.
Another detail: it wasn't a Rhodes, it's a Yamaha CP80 :D
You are correct. I missed every single thing

AYO Jack posted your vid on Twitter dude!!!!!
Just saw! Absolutely awesome
A rare appearance of the Vulfbirdie these days

It is Mark Lettieri indeed.
amazing video dude. clearly a lot of love for vulf
Your videos are always so incredible! Thanks for being an inspiration!
Thank YOU for watching
Richie was also at the King’s Theater in 2018
Not to mention playing on the studio version of Christmas in LA (I think) and one other Vulfpeck song.

This is the best life concert that I have ever seen or heard!!!
damn right boy
This is sick as hell man, you def got a new sub

When I sent this to him on Twitter, Ryan mentioned that he wasn’t sure if he tripped or if the gimbal broke, thanks for clearing this up!
@@SethLovestoTalk I looked at the video because I wanted to see Cory’s reaction to him tripping, but there wasn’t one as far as I see!
Seth sure does like to talk

At some point you can also spot the Fearless Flyers, Nate Smith and Mark Lettieri, on the couch
great video !
The number 3 I already knew!!
Damn this was good! definitely earend my sub!
Wow, great vid! I was there and missed probably all of this stuff. Also a tiny correction, it's not a Rhodes, it's a Yamaha CP-70 ;)
Great Video!!
Your videos are SO dope wtf
No u :)

~Rhodes~ Yamaha CP70.

3:08 He didn't trip but his gimbal made a weird thing where it just stopped working ;)
AMAZING
4:25 It's the Funky Duck !!!
Don't forget The Lick at 25:57 !
The "splint" on Joey's hand is actually tape, a common practice for saxophone players to keep their fingers close the instrument!
I don't know about common. I've played sax for over 20 years and I've never seen or heard anyone do that.
@@ericmyrs They just made it up entirely lol

wheres the theo/ritchie video link?
True! Added it in the description but here it is:
