I went on one when I was like 22, and it was hell on earth, I hated every single minute. People got so ridiculously drunk, and the whole experience was just covered in a thick blanket of misery. Had a vampire came along, I would have tilted my head and said yes. Please turn me into one of you, anything is better than this cruise! :) I can highly recommend The Home by the same author. It's a possession story set in a facility for the elderly, it's spooky and also really sad and melancholy.
