Running from 1993-2009, Late Night with Conan O’Brien is one of the most beloved late night shows in television history. Known for its absurdist humor, hilarious celebrity interviews and featuring the best stand-up comedians and musical acts of the ‘90s and early 2000s. I think the Walker, Texas Ranger Lever is the single greatest bit in the history of late night talk shows.

The best ones were unexpected, after an "awkward" moment in an interview or something, just when you'd forgotten the lever's existence.

The Chuck Norris Lever was one of the funniest things ever, it would make me laugh so hard my abdominal muscles would hurt.
I remember when this first aired with Conan always doing the Walker Texas Ranger lever and Chuck Norris actually showing up one night was so iconic to me.
I remember howling when he goes "NORRIS!"
I watched Texas Ranger more on Conan than the actual show.

It's a shame they can't actually show the entire sketch with all the Walker clips due to legal reasons, but still nice to have this.

Conan always had a good show and good guests. To get to Walker, Texas Ranger - “Hi Mom, I’m coming to visit tonight. Mom talking- “I watch Walker tonight, as long as you watch it”. She loved Walker. ❤

My father has an autographed photo of Chuck Norris as Walker, Texas Ranger. I asked him once how he got it. He said that he had a lawyer friend who was working in Dallas, Texas back in the 90’s. He said that she was able to get access onto the set (I don’t know how). My father said that she was allowed to go into Chuck’s trailer and he signed a photo to my father. To this day, I think that’s so awesome. Chuck Norris himself signed a photo to my father!

I honestly believe that Conan’s favorite part about being famous is that he gets to do a scene with Chuck Norris that ends with him getting kicked into a pile of boxes. The money is just the gravy.
Absolutely. He's always said his favourite part of show-biz is the Vaudeville aspect of it. Costumes, hijinx, tom-foolery. Whatever it takes to entertain people. One of the things that hurt him when he fell out with NBC in 2010 was that it was possible that his 17 year body of work on Late Night could be buried in an NBC vault never to be seen again by anyone. He's always been very proud of the comedy they did. I'm glad it lives on on RUclips. An entire new generation is discovering it.
