Awesome performance by Hank III. His vocal quality is awesome. You can see in his eyes that he's not in his element. More power to Shelton for going his own way!!
I've heard of H3 a few years ago but the few songs I checked out didn't do much for me. Now later I find this older song and am totally blown away by his talent. I have revisted some of his punk country and opened up a little to; but I have to tell you that this song and another from the same venue I found today put this young man on the same pedestal with his dad and grandad in my book. A shame H3 is not of fire for this style of music; because he would recapute what country music should be.
@TheFlyBilly I'm proud to say that Vernon Derrick, the fiddle player was from my hometown and was one of my closest friends for over 40 years. RIP Vern 1-4-08
legends arnt make there born and your one keep it up hope your around for my grand kids remember we love you and take care so have fun and dont sweat the small stuff it all small
III could have had a very lucrative career as a pop radio king, and he almost did. I am under the impression that he got a taste for the Nashville establishment early in his career and did not like what he saw.
Wow you can really look at him and see his grandfather Hank Williams Sr now can't you?
hank 3, in my opinion, is one of the best countrymusicians out ther!
One of my personal favorites! Hank-3 Don't ever stop!
He looks eerily like his grandpa, who is the first singer I ever heard. Man, that's freaky and cool at the same time.

yeah you won't see him doing something like this nowadays.
@JimCashFan good observation i see that looks like maybe the A or D string
No;
He's all about country's roots-- his current direction has alot to do with the way his original intent was cast aside by the industry
@JimCashFan watched it numerous times before and not noticed it
he looks so much like Luke the Drifter
hot dogs
Notice he loses the lyrics for a sec at 2:14, but ol' Hank III recovers and rocks the rest of the song.
