Convergence, mini convergence, and the XK X450 are all tri tilt rotors. They all have a fixed wing mode as well and the XK even has a helicopter mode. One of the guys from flight test also was heavy on tricopters but he used a tilt rear motor.
That's pretty impressive, I didn't expect it to be able to compensate for such a critical failure. Good to know that you could potentially lose a motor and betaflight will keep you in the air until you can land safely.
I find this model very interesting. and I'm pretty sure it will have a common place in the market, do to it's form factor and electronics. Probably nice with 1080 HD cam ....Thanks for sharing Andy!
Cool copter Andy! When Albert flew this LOS he showed another mode where the model did not tilt in forward and reverse flight. Didn't see this in your video.. Did upgrading the ESCs or Betaflight remove those settings?
I'm planning on turning artificial horizon on. I know many people don't like it and want to keep only the bare minimum info on screen, but I like to have many different things enabled to see as much information about the craft's position and status as possible.
Possibly the LED is enabled to use the timer needed to drive the servos? Just stumbled on your video. I like this configuration of tricopter and would like to know how the servos are connected. Thanks for reviewing this one Andy. What is the long-term prognosis on this design? Do you think we will see any others. Do you think this might work with a VTOL winged creature?
Hi Andy, fyi my one arrived a couple of days ago from HorusRC in Shanghei ok...it has three blades props up front and a two blader on the rear. The two antennaes have been routed around each side of the rear prop guard and a dab of hot glue each...my one has a small XT type battery connector btw, so they must have taken your advice onboard. Next I have to get a couple of 3S 1300 mah lipos and get it going with your advice on Betaflight...a quality build in my view and very happy with the plastic used etc. They have put alot of work into the design and detailed structure imo Thanks again for your video! Waiting until someone builds one that works on everything . It doesn't make any sense to have 10 radio's for different quads , everything should be interchangeable and have common connectors .. Lol.. And stop selling anything WITHOUT a battery
Seems like a fun cruiser, with an excellent flight time! If it's not capable of flips and rolls (I'm kind of assuming it's not, but Betaflight may surprise me) this could be a good use for Acro Trainer mode to limit it to safe manoeuvres. If it is, follow up video please!

It looks rather nice however it looks like a toy grade, they need to make it look like more than it is. Though I think it will do well without any upgrades to looks. I will have to get one and toy around with it, I have only dabbled into the world of tricopters.

My quad was flying on 3 props after a clip of branch loosened one of them, betaflight is very good!! 👍

yes I spent more than 30 minutes with the product so i set it up and was able to release its full potential

Its best with white props instead of black...(you wont see either prop colours anyway)but no visible scars ...great review Andy

Mine was a prototype which I had for months before I was even allowed to show the video so I know they have made a lot of changes

it does flips like a normal tricopter. and you can definitely use acro trainer mode, since its just like a normal quadcopter with betaflight

By the look of the servos and knowing it runs on 3s, I think it will have a hard time carrying the DJI system. Also the Vtx on that thing is tiny af.
