  • Am I finally done with tunnels and ballasting??? Could it be true? Today we're conquering the mess that is the tunnel on the train yard side of the city district. 3 openings, no standard width apart, one curved, all within 48 studs. Oh, and navigating the already built bridge/waterfall above it. This one was tricky. I'm still not totally sure I'm in love with how the middle tunnel came out, in particular the rock work to support the section above... but it'll work now and I think once all the other details are done, you won't notice it's clunkiness as much.
Let me know what you think. Best of an awkward situation?

My name is Travis and I'm an AFOL! I've been serious collecting Lego since 2021. I collect a little bit of everything from Star Wars to Fabuland to Pirates to CMFs. My biggest continual project is my city. The city is currently about 112 baseplates and always in constant evolution. When I started out with the city it was 21 baseplates and I never imagined when I started it would grow to this size. My collection has quickly overtaken my office that I now call the Lego Room. My favorite themes are Vidiyo, Dreamzzz, CMFs, Pirates, and anything I can use in my city.

The first train track is at an angle...why don't you build your tunnel entrance at an angle? ... Like this you don't have to do a large entrance 🤔😉👍

The problem is the Orient Express cars require a HUGE turning radius. They actually never line up straight with the track at all in this little S turn. It’s kinda crazy.
