@@homeschoolhomesteaders2842 Nice! Thank you for following up on the trap. Don't let the negative comments get to you. May you be blessed in these coming days. Place your faith in Jesus as He is our only hope and savior.
ruclips.net/video/GABT086N8gI/видео.html Here is a link of an updated video that I made where I go into several traps and what sets them off. I also have a deer camera recording all rabbits trap and those that got away.
ruclips.net/video/GABT086N8gI/видео.html (link to an updated video) Several ways they set off the trap: 1) The knock over the stick that holds the trap. 2) They knock over the carrot that holds the traps on a stick. (my favorite of most effective) 3) The stick that holds the trap is tied to a string on the carrot. And when rabbit eats the carrot, it hopefully pulls the string that is tied to the stick and releases the trap.
The rabbit will hopefully knock over the stick as it enters the trap. So, the trap has to be set to a hair-triggered release set up. As soon as it hits the stick, the trap drops. Sometimes the rabbit can enter in and out and not set the trap....and that happened too many times with me. Also tying the bait to a string will help...or pressing the bait against the chicken wire, will help the rabbit knock over the housing. But the whole point of the trap is to make it very sensitive and hopefully it will drop on the rabbit.
... and the surroundings of the trap have changed drastically in one day.

Is the bait tied to the trigger mechanism? what trips the trap?

If I caught a large raccoon in that trap he would totally destroy it.
But I bet it is great for rabbits
Did the rabbit foget how to dig and run away?
frozen ground...so they can't really dig. But check traps constantly because eventually, they will find a way to escape.
What sets the trap off can you explain for me please

how does it go off
Its a tight fit, and rabbit hitting the stick will make it fall on it. You can also tie the carrot to the trap and it will help set off the trap.
ohhhhhhhhhh
nice vid and did you move the trap because it looks like its in a different spot

I recommend you don’t do this in your backyard but mabye in like a forest bc there’s more animals there
Dumb rabbit is good on munching on my rose garden roots, but it cannot dig itself outta that one.. go figure
Ok, so, how did you get it to shut? And, how do I kill it without a gun or bow? Nothing horrible please. I'm just hungry.

regarding killing. Probably slitting the throat will be the most humane, if you refuse to do it with a gun or bow.
Hopefully the stew was delicious!Love hunting rabbits lol
why trap rabbit
and for racoon. ???? c'mon on man ....obviously you never catch a raccoon in your life to say that ...
