That EF build is what California emissions wants if you want to be smog legal. A friend of mine talk a state ref about a swapping a K24 to an EK and what is done on this build is basically what CA is asking for! Engine with all emission, fuel system and dash..
Engine with all emissions that applied to the chassis or newer, so you can't swap an obd0 engine into an obd1 chassis, or an obd2 into an obd1. But you can do an obd0, 1, or 2 in a 0. And obd1 or 2 in a 1. Actually to be technical you can swap the engine as long as the emissions is correct spec for your chassis. Back in the day it was easier to find an si b16 for an ef than a true JDM b16, just had to cobble some stuff together to make it work with the original harness

Dude, that FD2 in an EF hatch HAS to have close to $10k in carbon fiber built into it. I have a Seibon carbon fiber hood on my 612 whp EJ8 and just the hood was close to $800. His hood had to have a custom mold made, and all of the fibers had to be hand laid. The door panels, the roof, the interior quarter panel skins, all of that had to have been custom made pieces. I'm not leaving the other builds out, I just haven't watched the whole video yet and was compelled to comment on that absolutely BEAUTIFUL custom EF. I thought that I had alot of work into my EJ8 because it's a showcar as well as a drag car, but that car makes mine look like a pile of shat.
all of the builds I like. it really satisfies my inner car geek... all the builds are a testiment to Honda, what you can do with them and that you can really take these nice ideas any direction!
Wow Jason, thank you so much for sharing these builds with us! I see something that I can appreciate in every one of those builds. I LOVE the wide body Accord, I would give half of my anatomy to own that RWD C32 swapped Civic, the Accord at the end reminds me of what I always wanted to do to my old 79 Civic 1200, and I just can't tell you how much I appreciated seeing these cars. That just made my day brother, thank you.
The AWD ksight from LHT performance I thought for sure would make the list, it was a super clean build and the insight being the gas sipping ugly car it is makes it one of the best made Honda's...now your in the know!
There was a 1st year Honda Insight up here in Alaska, and the owner stripped out both parts of the powertrain, and swapped in a turbo K24 motor with a RWD conversion. It was pretty sweet, cuz without all the hybrid crap, it was the lightest of all semi modern Honda bodies.
