When will you have the auction for the zippo's. I'm a collector but a few years back we had a break in and I had them set up in a glass case and they were taken. I really want to bid on these if you haven't sold them already please let me know when your auction will be. That is one hell of a unit right there. One more thing. Can you look on the bottom of the zippos and there will be a letter. These letters are quality and they go A through F. A's being the best an you know how it goes from there. A-C's are good. D's not as well and the F's are junk. The only reason a person would want them is for show. Not much money value on those but again please let me know when you plan on having the auction for these. I can't afford all of them but I would love to bid on a few.

@@christopherwiley8964 You right about that and the prices are so low. I mean that one unit sold for what 10 dollars. I know there's a lot of junk but you can't tell me there weren't something in that unit that would have paid out.
When you actually come across something desireable, try not to tear open original boxes
And be careful! Cratchung up the Zippo will lower the value!
It never fails to amaze me how rough people are going through the stuff they expect to sell. Undamaged items sell for more so you'd think they'd take more care. 🤔
When you are handling hundreds of items with limited time(time is money), it matters very little on the few items that he is showing.

Amazing score! I’m sure you know, but there are guides online to tell how old and where they were made. The writing on the bottom is actually a code explains it’s history. Again amazing score!

68. Well now we know why folks started buying the throwaway lighters. This guy owned every zippo that was left to sell and they were in this unit. Unbelievable.

Yes, it does stinks sometimes. The one positive is we are giving items a 2nd life that would have ended up in the trash. I always try to give back when possible. This guy actually told the storage facility he was done paying on unit & he took what he wanted.

I think old guy sold Zippos daily and watches. Probable made good money weekly. By age 70 or 80. Money means nothing. If he has enough saved.

He was probably an ebay seller, which would explain the empty boxes and packaging. He was recycling them.

I used to by storage auctions in the 1980's and sold on yard sales. I actually did fairly well.
I hope he still got back things he may have forgotten was in there. Many important things get tucked away in you mind and you dont really recall them till you see them again

Pay attention to the hashmarks on thebottom of the zippo’s. The more hashmarks the better the lighter.

I know how it feels to have a loss of personal items. From 2000 to 2016 when I went to the hospital ER and woke up in CCU. Living in FL and found out my sister, charged with watching over the parents house had moved, been gone a year without telling siblings. Then someone set it ablaze.

I live where Zippos are made🤘🏻 you got yourself quite the haul. To collectors Zippos are definitely worth a bit of cash to the right person.
Just a bit of advice, you might want to be more discretionary when handling those envelopes. I could clearly read the name and address on at least one of them. Thats NEVER a good idea.
One pump is for a fountain and the other is for a waterfall two completely different types of water flow. Says that on the boxes.

I watch you videos all the time. I live in Houston and I have a storage unit filled with sports items and memorabilia. My problem is where do I sell it at.? Ok..eBay yes but that's piece by piece . I like your content. One suggestion get a fold-up table or something that you can put items that you find on instead of mixing them together with empty boxes it was probably just me but it gave me anxiety seeing you mix up everything. Keep up the good work. 👍

I have been looking for a 1969 Engravable zippo lighter for years! My husband brought one home from Vietnam with the 101st airborne eagle as well as the 23rd Psalm engraved on it. Unfortunately it was stolen. I would love to have a replica I could have engraved to give to my grandson. I hope you will be listing these soon and you have a 1969 available!

The antique silver plated one was from the Marlboro ranch in Montana. Thats where I got mine, the image on the front is the front gate of the ranch!

Lot of those are from the marlbro miles. You would count and package the miles with order form of what you want to order . i have abiut 4 jump suits 35 tshirts 4 coats.with my name.. Stiched on the front. I also have a paddle boat wirh ors and a tent. Never used any of it all still in plastic. Zippos and ashtrays!. Shirts. Towells . red jump suited hoody. Never took wore anything but the leather brown coats. Had a compaas on.

It amazes me how many of these storage unit have hundreds and thousands of glass stuff that just gets banged around like they are worthless. I’ve seen some of that stuff go for thousands on auction. But the men treat them horrible. If you had a piece worth $800 but you chipper, then it’s worth nothing. This man was a collector!! That should tell you something! But yet since it’s not something that you know little about you just bang the most breakable things and possibly the most valuable things in the storage container. I thought money was the point in buying those containers.
