My husband & I were so happy to have found this gem! We were just kids at that time too but we so miss how this mall used to be, great childhood memories! Thank you to the family that uploaded this truly a treasure, hope you are well!

Sadly, Disney Store in Spring Hill Mall closed in April 2010, due to leasing issues. It's now Famous Footwear.

I watched this video with nostalgic joy and aching sadness. I've been living in Dundee my whole life and have gone to this mall from Elementary to High School. I was six years old in 2002 and have vivid memories playing in that exact same area. If I wasn't there, I was riding one of the coin rides or getting something from the food court. There was never a bad time there (except maybe when I got lost, definitely not fun). The sadness sets in when you look at the mall in its current state. Hardly any stores in there warrant a visit and they all lack the allure that older ones had. I understand things eventually change, but to change into something that hardly even resembles what came before or offer even a sliver of enjoyment it used to is nothing short of depressing. I guess I'm less sad that the "good old times" are behind me and more because the mall will never offer the same experience to another generation of families. I wanna be optimistic, but I find it more and more difficult with every year I see the same vacant spaces there. Here's to hoping.
My name is Ian, I hope others in the Dundee area remember this place the same way I did. Thank you for uploading this time capsule. I was honestly worried nothing existed that shows how different this mall was back then. The thought alone made me very sad. This may seem overly sentimental, but it's only because I enjoy the small things.

Wow, this was back in my freshman year of high school. My mom used to work at the Disney store there until it closed. I so miss how the place used to be. It has really gone downhill. Also,it is nice to see a time when people didn't have to have their faces covered in public.
