Original Alien was not for me, but it was objectively spectacular and completely original and nothing like what was on the market for the average person. I enjoy current formulation Alien, it’s beautiful and I would love to see a more intense/darker version of it, maybe with a note of dark plum and incense.

Wow I love that blue on you. 😍 Not a surprise about the fragrance! Pour moi, the Mugler ship sailed long ago...hit a glacier and exploded. Debris everywhere. That sank to the bottom of the ocean with the one and a half survivers clammering for the last tank of compressed air and desperate hope. What a picture.

Nothing compares to the pre-reformulation Alien EdP. L'Oréal butchered Mugler and everything it stood for. They reformulated Alien, Angel and many more and turned them into horrible chemical messes. I'll hold onto my old formulation Alien and if I ever ran out, I'll hunt down more of the old formulation

I think i tend to like fragrances that most fragrance reviewers think are not as strong.. lol i hate strong projecting perfumes and everytime a fragrance reviewer likes something and i smell it its always way too strong for me so anytime i hear “it doesnt last long” or isnt beast mode i know ill like it 😂 i think we forget that some people dont NEED it to be completely unique bc theres so many perfumes on the market its HARD to be unique and some people dont need it to be strong.. but again thats the beauty of reviews and taking it with a grain of salt .. ❤
I have migraine and I am very afraid of trying the original one 😅 I wasn't even curious about this release but when you said "not in your face, boring, short projection with the original DNA" you got me lol.
It has a long lasting power to me and it's not boring! Test fragrances with your nose😢

Ever since Aura came out, I banned Mugler from entering my collection. I loved Aura, because it reminded me of another perfume I had loved, and that evolved beautifully all day. The perfume was an unkowned brand since the bottle came from a blind sample test.
But : not only is Aura disappointing in the dry down, it even disappears from my skin or clothes after 2 hours. So basically the perfume has a powerful nose to catch you at the beauty corner, and once your money is spend your can wipe your tears... Unacceptable !

Always keep in mind that perfume is subjective… for me it didn’t make the cut 😅

I LOVED alien essence absolue, why they discontinued it is so disappointing. It was great for winter, for me, not everyone's cup of tea. It is now over 200 bucks on ebay, Don't love it that much.

I'm very late to perfumes in general (I've always used the same one), and late to Mugler. I recently purchased Alien edp, and fell instantly in love. As I watched many reviews, I became aware that it had been reformulated, and there is many fans who were disappointed. I guess I'm glad I never tried the OG formula, because I too would have been disappointed I'm sure. As for this new formulation of Alien, I have nothing to compare it too, and absolutely LOVE it. I'm addicted. Lol From my bit of research on the house of Mugler, I see he set trends, with Angel and Alien and many more I'm sure. I hope for his sake that L'Oréal can get back at it, and put out fragrances as beautiful as Alien.
if you want to know how the old Alien was smelling there is a very cheap perfume from Ajmal called Sacrifice for her. It is very close to the old Alien DNA and it will cost you probably 20...30 USD...for 50 ml if I remember well

I blind buyed this and i like it, i'm glad that it is not in your face perfume. Hello Josephine, I love your videos and your recommendations. I have purchased almost all of your recommendations. I need your expert opinion. My niece is getting married on April 13. Here in Los Angeles, April 13 will be a true spring day. According to our traditions, the pre-wedding festivities start at 11 am at the bride's parents house and church is at 5:30 pm and then the banquet, which is a formal event. Which perfume do you recommend that I wear that day and evening? For her engagement party I wore Scherzo, for my nephews wedding I wore Hibiscus Mahajad. Thanks.

I have this flanker and for me it is very similar to the old Alien DNA but indeed it is not that powerful. But it is for sure close to the old Alien. IMHO this flanker and Fusion are the best ones. Except Essence Absolue, but we cannot find that any more. I think this worth a try. At least :)
