My favorite premiere was the All Stars 7 Talent Show. Utica sewing a painting of ✝✝✝Jesus✝✝✝ , Coco Montrese as Janet Jackson, Acid Betty punching Michelle Visage, and the top two lip sync! When Nicky Doll was Chat Noir, while Jaidynn Diore Fierce was Ladybug and they both lip synced to Miraculous Ladybug theme, ICONIC!

Envy Peru did say that she thought there would only be three seasons because the drag scene is mighty but still tiny.
To be fair, I don't expect some of the International seasons to get more than 5-6 seasons, at least not without taking a couple years break. Smaller countries have smaller drag scenes.
@@AngryCandy89 true, there can only be so many gay men doing binary female fashion drag in a population of 17 million. Maybe the international seasons can branch out & include other types of drag? WOW might not allow that but it'd be a solution that would allow a few more seasons
Also, they were only green-lighted for 3 seasons from the start, anyhow. Unlike DRUS which still needs to be renewed from year to year.
@@Delete59187 my idea exactly. Holland is one of the smaller franchises so it'd be a perfect testbed for say a kings vs queens season. Unfortunately the show isn't actually aired on Dutch tv but instead only available on the Videoland streaming service which hardly anyone uses to begin with so it's been on thin ice since the beginning.
It was also to much holland in the theme. I don't understand why they did not try to get it on TV in flanders and Netherlands. We have a combined big brother for a second time for God may no way. It would give them more potential viewers and cast.
I hope France includes the other French speaking areas in europe and beyond for the same reason
España Season 2 is actually up to a 9.2 on imdb now! The second episode is a 9.9, which is easily the highest in the franchise.

Honestly personally think Holland might have gotten cancelled because of the horrible decisions made on the show and the kind of sad reaction of Fred online (literally blocking cast members and fans who never even spoke to him cuz they said they disagreed with decisions on the show). I do hope they'll reconsider tho, just because I want to see Dutch drag have a platform, tho I've heard from friends that last season's judging was so bad that they wouldn't even watch a S3. I'd literally watch a dumpsterfire with a Drag Race sticker on it, so I guess my opinion is biased but I feel like the general opinion on how S2 went was negative. (Even tho we absolutely loooooooveeeeee Vanessa and are happy she has a crown, just the road there was an absolute shitshow.) also hope that if it is cancelled, the Dutch girls still get a chance to be on blank VS The World. btw. love the idea of Envy being the host, I'd kinda like a full queen panel tbh, as they know what's important. (tho I wouldn't mind Raven and Nikkietutorials to be there either)
Thailand was cancelled and pangina made it to vs the world so it's definitely possible
Honestly felt that both Holland and Italy suffered because of the host. Priscilla's drag just doesn't seem to be at the level of any of the other hosts (Pangina & Art, Supremme, Fred or Brooke) and you constantly felt she was just threatened by the girls; I mean I think she'd probably be an early out in most seasons of drag race. Meanwhile with Holland the fact that their drag scene seems to be so tightly knit meant that Fred just had a past with everyone there and sadly could not keep the bias out of judging. You just need a queen to host that both has good drag and is nurturing like Supremme is.

I think Canada season 2 premiere needed to be higher. It definitely felt like it had the same charm as S1 but you could tell that both production and the judges took notes on what to improve upon the previous iteration. Probably the best glow-up along with UK2.
Holland is a tiny country, so it would not be surprising. Some of these country-specific franchises should probably open up to be more regional, so others have a chance to come and participate. Thailand certainly had queens from other countries, and Australia become Down Under. How about "Drag Race Scandinavia" instead of only being drag race Sweden.
I totally agree with you but I think most of the reason why we're not seeing it happen is because of the employment laws in these countries.

I'm Italian and I think the queens of season 1 were all very talented and charming but the downfall were the judging and the editing/pacing. I had the least expectations for Tommaso but he ended up being the best judge ☠

They really phoned it in on the other half’s premiere… that song wasn’t as strong and I think it would’ve been more interesting for All Stars… “you think you know me (from my original season)….”

I love S7. The problem with that season was they cast mostly fashion queens & then focused primarily on comedy challenges. That, and there was obvious favoritism & questionable placement decisions. What saved it for me was the comedic genius of Ginger Minj, the amount of iconic queens packed into the season and how the horrible acting from several girls was pure camp gold. They were obviously looking for a fashion winner, since that's the only thing Violet (arguably) brought to the table.

I'm not surprised by Priscilla being messy by throwing shade at the contestants after Drag Race Italia flopped so hard. She was a big part of the reason is was so disappointing, to be honest. I feel like she and Fred could both take a few notes from Supreme Deluxe, Pangina, and Art Aria on how to successfully host an international Drag Race franchise.
As for the premieres, Season 3 sticks out to me for some reason. It could be the drama with India and Phoenix wearing practically the same look; Shangela's iconic box entrance; the stunning winter wonderland photoshoot; the queens going to GoodWill in day drag; several great looks on the runway; and a somewhat traumatizingly violent lip-sync that made for such a very memorable premiere.
Actually Holland never posted a cancelation note so I do think that's false because we didn't get anytging on spoiled drag race. Its just this instagram profile that has a track record of not having the best spoilers. So I wouldn't yet say its canceled. Probably on hold to change shit up or to get some budget (kinda like Thailand did).
I honestly think the only thing they need to change is the host. Have Nikki or Envy or Vanessa host.

As a Queen living in Holland, this rumour has been heard for a while.... so it's funny to see it get pick up internationally now. I heard that the show didn't perform well on Videoland (local production/distribution channel). Additionally the show didn't garner very much international exposure .... They queens weren't even able to verified on Instagram.
I am hoping that a couple of Holland queens get casted on the next season of 'vs the world' and do well enough to revive the franchise and/or it get picked up by another media channel. Fingers crossed!

It does look Holland might be heading for the chop. Not seen anything about it and there really should be casting calls out about now. The show Envy and Vanessa are on is called Make-Up Your Mind. It's hosted by Carlo Boszhard one of the recurring judges on Holland and features male celebrities in drag with two panels (Led by Fred and NikkiTutorials) having to guess who the celebrity behind the make-up is. Envy leads a jury of actual drag queens who decide which of the made over celebrities gets to move on to the next round with the eliminated celeb being unmasked at this point. It was supposed to be a one-off last year but that show was a huge ratings succes so they turned it into a 5 episode series this year. The concept has also already been sold to many other countries. So don't be surprised if you see a show like this coming out.
Espana season 2 having a 9.3 on episode 1 and 9-point-freaking-9 on episode 2 just makes sense with all of our fantasies

...How was Holland Canceled before Down Under?
Because the Netherlands doesn't have the population or drag scene to feed into the show of which there were two Seasons, where as Australia does both by itself, then add New Zealand like Puerto Rico in US seasons, Down Under deserves a second season considering the First was over produced, poorly edited and cast by invitation over the standard auditions.

If the Netherlands could include former territories, they'd only need one, Indonesia would add a population 276.5 million people and its well established and ancient drag culture, DragRace Holland would never run out of contestants then! I agree with the host of Drag Race Italia's statement that the queens of the season were cocky and struggled to take feedback. The queens were fighting too much, too ego, and didn't deliver enough. I didn't get any odd vibes from the host himself, quite the opposite. The host gives me similar sweet energy as the host of Drag Race Spain

UK vs the world was so exciting for me because I saw some of my faves from different franchises interact and i never thought i would get to see them competing together like knowing i was gonna have jimbo and bagga in the same competition was so cool to think about and having pangina in it was great and i think her being such a fave on the show definitely contributed to them bringing thailand back i really wanna know how many people went and watched thailand 1&2 after watching this season
Im not gonna lie a major reason i didnt even finish Italia was BECAUSE of Priscilla, her makeup and hair and critiques were just so poor i was confused as to why she was the host and not a filler queen competing...
