I've always been such a huge Idina fan and it sometimes gets to me when she doesn't have the recognition she deserves. When she was on Glee most of my friends didn't even know who she was and I was just like "Who's Finn and Rachel?!!? Idina Menzel is going to be on the show!!!!"

MasterBushidoBrown Before glee existed, I saw her in rent. I loved her, so when I saw her in glee? I flipped the fuck out. But the song choice for the mom and daughter goodbye scene? They’re are so many songs they could have done. Still loved her on the show. But the choice in song was odd.

Okay, those two replies make no sense. She's saying it as in those were her FIRST THOUGHTS when she saw the song that they were going to sing, and let's be honest, when you first hear the song 'poker face', you wouldn't pin it as a really emotional song, would you? I hate it when fans get so butthurt when someone even says anything negative about their favourite celebrities, people have different opinions, and besides that, I think that you weirdo's didn't even watch the whole video and just started commenting after she said "poker face?". What Idina's trying to say as in when she first looked at the song she didn't think much of it and questioned why she was singing it, but then she started to see how when all the electronic music was taken away and she looked deeper into the meaning of it, she grew to love it more, that's why she's singing it.
She wasn't dissing it; when she first looked at the song she thought it was a weird song choice for a mother-daughter reunion. But when she took a closer look at the meaning after all the electronic stuff was taken out she started to understand why they chose it.
