  • Concrete House is a robust and innovative family residence located within a verdant site in southern England. Designed by RAW Architecture Workshop for Adrian and Megan Corrigall, the house was constructed almost entirely of fiber reinforced concrete, eliminating the need for steel bars. With a monolithic aesthetic and a distinctive stepped form that integrates into the natural environment, the house offers surprisingly warm interiors filled with natural light, mid-century furniture, vibrant art, and lush greenery. This pioneering project combines durability with a calming and minimalist atmosphere, showcasing the versatility of concrete in creating livable and inviting spaces.

I love the through-line of incorporating the heritage of the plumb wood orchard into the home's aesthetic.

Some of the drawings are more works of art than technical documents, but for that reason they are really beautiful.
