    I am so happy that I got this in my recommendations. This gave me more drive and desire to study and become a future CPA. I'm almost a 2nd year this year, my sem is about to end for 1st yr. I quitted playing video games before the 2nd sem started and I have been making more progress. I also started making exercise a habit and I have never felt so good in the change in my life!! The concepts are so hard and sometimes it doesn't get into my brain without heavy, critical thinking and sometimes I spend a day on just 1 problem but either way, I am making progress and this video helped reinforce to why I want to become a CPA so bad. What you said at the end really inspired me "If Bryan can become a CPA, anyone can too", really inspired me and made the fire inside my heart bigger. Thank you!

    I just became a CPA officially on December 28, 2018! What a blessed way to start 2019. It took me the entire year and 6 months andddd I passed all on first go but FAR, had to redo but once I was done that second time I knew by the grace of God, I had it in the bag! 😎🙌🏽. If I hadn’t I would have lost some parts.

Took busy season off. Took Audit in June and passed while studying before and after work . Now all I have is FAR and I take that in September. This video just me so much more motivation. Hey Bryan, it was nice to meet you again at the CPP Meet the Firms back in September 2018. We also met back in April 2015 when i was interviewing for the RSM Summer leadership program. I also passed all 4 parts. I took FAR first and got a 74. While retaking FAR i found out i scored an 85 in BEC, which gave me much needed boost to continue. I passed FAR with a 78. I got a 77 in AUD and an 85 in REG. I finished the CPA exam back in June 2018. I recently started working working as a CPA Tax Auditor for the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. As a CPA here, once you get experienced you have the ability to review other auditors work before submission and you get a $3600 bonus pay as well.

    In the Philippines, this is how we do it. We have 7 subjects, and we do it on 2 consecutive weekends. 2 subjects per day. On the fourth day you only do 1 subject, half day, then wait for the result, which during my time was the day after the last exam. They don’t give you the average, just the list of the passers. I just don’t know how they do it nowadays. It’s almost 10 years since that happened. Hihi!
    Sorry for giving you a long story. Lol! I just felt good sharing that since you told us your story. I think though even if the methods were different, it’s still the same result. I also didn’t know how I passed the exam. Lol!

    I passed the board exams 2 years ago, I kinda struggled in college and I took the board exams twice. Accounting is definitely not for the faint of heart, when I failed I cried for a day then started reviewing again the next day. Hi sir! I just saw this video. I'm was studying minutes ago but i stopped because i really cant understand the lessons anymore even if i had read it so many times. I decided to take a break and watch videos like my favorite local tv show and it was so weird like i dont know how this video was suggested below. I dont know you or I haven't watched a single video in your channel, i dont even know you existed here hahaha. But anyways, thank you so so so much for a million and billions times. This was so inspirational. I'm like so down rn cause i just failed my exam and i dont know how to catch up to like stay on my degree program. I'm having a hard time studying and understanding this so many lessons. But i swear i'm trying to, its just that sometimes it frustrates me just like what you've said, i put to much effort studying but i didnt pass like it wasnt enough. I really dreamt of becoming a CPA someday. I knew i can do it but now i dont think so. im starting to have doubt myself. But sir i really really thank you. I'll consider this a sign from God and you as a blessing. I'll surely keep in my mind and heart all your words and message . I hope to hear more from you. Keep inspiring people and stay healthy, god bless!

    Hey, Bryan, thanks for this video! I graduated with a degree in accounting back in 2009 from SB and never sat for the exam in order to pursue a career in education instead. Now that I'm out of education I've been thinking about getting back in accounting and sitting for the test. Needless to say, I am quite nervous about the mountain that is the CPA exam. But listening to your experience is motivating! Thanks and keep crushing it! -Jaime

    Thank you posting the video. I would like to get back into passing the CPA after working for over 20 years or so.
    I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting in 1994 and went to work in a private company doing basic bookkeeping such as : A/R collections and lockbox posting, A/P issuance of checks, and general bookkeeping.
    I couldn’t fully study the accounting courses such as: Intermediate, cost accounting, tax and auditing only b/c I was not sure what I wanted to do.
    Had to deal with an illness, but now back on track.
    And I am now working full time and I feel I need to learn more accounting knowledge for the next job.
    I am rereading the book Financial Accounting to refresh my memories.
    I am not sure how to go about preparing for the CPA test since I have been out of the study mode for many years.
    Would anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thank you.

    • @CPACareerPaths
      @CPACareerPaths 4 года назад

      I admire your willingness to get back in passing the CPA exam after 20 years experience in accounting. I would suggest to start with setting a specific goal such as when to pass the first section of the CPA exam and creating a habit of studying the CPA exam everyday with the same time and same location starting with 5 minutes each day (it counts even when you just open the CPA review book in the first day). Just try little bit by little bit in a first few weeks. Don’t make yourself to do too much at the beginning. You will find it easy to give up as you may feel overwhelmed. Good luck on your CPA journey!

    Chinese here. I was expelled due to breaking school rules( beat up a teacher)when in high school. I was a really hopeless guy in peoples mind. That was desperate experience I had in my life. I don't know where to go and what I can do. I got no plan at that moment. life was grey. Luckily my father pulled some strings to make me study in another school and I finally didn't make him disappointed. I successfully got into a prestigious university( top 5) studying politics. After graduation, however, I found my major is useless and I noticed China CICPA exam is the most difficult qualification, which is also valuable. Hence I spent three years on this exam and finally passed it in 2013. After that, I became interested in AICPA and then passed it in 2014. I also passed National Judicial exam( Bar ) in 2016. Currently I'm preparing CFA. Passing these exams, I think knowledge is interesting. It opens up my eyes and expands my horizons. In addition, these exams help me easily get a good job and promotion.
