Thanks for the pleasant train ride. I really enjoy your travel videos. I agree that the first train station is beautiful, and the train is really nice.
I remember the excellent service in these trains. When COVID19 drama is behind I come back to Czech and Slovak republics by.... RegioJet Relax class! Greetings from the Netherlands by Arie Bert Versteeg ;-)
No, please no.... are You just joking, my friend, aren't You ??? The coach class Bdtmee 22-44 is the worst we had ever ride in the former Czechoslovakia and its successors !!! Rather than those love Fokky Boxes... (motorcar 810) Those were ordered partially for military pusposes (in case of war they are able turn in seconds to field surgeon hospitals and lazarette coaches). Have wider center corridor ergo narrower seatbanks (possible to take those banks out through the windows), wide swing doors inside and at the front-end (for stretchers), and luggage racks turnable into temporary beds (for stretchers)... But, in Czech republic those were outdrawn from the military rolling stocks (have been a couple years registered as civilian and military vehicles too) and some cars underwent a refurbishment.
It also reminds me of NS intercity trains. I traveled on NS intercity several times from Amsterdam Central to Schiphol Airport :-) Even the locomotive was the same :-)
Great report! Wien main railway station has a stunning architecture. About the train... I also don't like too much compartments. I find much better open coach layout. Greetings!
Thanks so much! I also like the architecture of Wien hbf. Yes, open cars are better, especially in premium classes, where you can get a single seat. I think a compartments are good for groups, but not for single travelers.
Superb video as always, Pete! They've just announced their new route from Budapest to Prague via Vienna, already can't wait to travel with them somedays. It looks promising! :D And wow, that tasty-looking apple cake for 40 cents... :D
Díky :-) Tak jasně že budou.. pořách chci aby ten kanál byl hlavně o leteckých trip reportech, jen jsem teď v létě najel na experiment, že místo videí ob týden pojedu týdenní posty a vyplním to dalším contentem..
Very nice and informative video! My wife and I are planning on taking this exact train this spring, so we find this video very useful. Can you catch the local trains at the Prague train station? What do the immigration officers ask you at the border? Do you need to show your passport?
Thank you :-) Both countries are in Shenghen area, so there are no passport or border controls, only sometimes are random checks by Police on trains (but I've never been controlled on this route). Yes, some local trains are departing from Prague Main station, but some local trains also departs from Praha - Masarykovo nádraží (which is close).
Nejsou ty sedadla moc sklopená dozadu v tom relaxu? Já taky snad někdy udělám trip report z vlaku, ale uvidím ještě. Like. Nádherné video. A jinak jsem se chtěl zeptat, jezdí na Regiojetu minibar?
Trošku ano, ale jsou pohodlná. Minibar tam njezdí, stewardi projdou, zadají do tabletu objednávky a pak to donesou (v nižších třídách se pak objednává před appku).
@@damcoentertainment3956 I tried to find a train outside the peak times and I chose a reservation in a car where there were more empty compartments (mostly there are two identical cars with a business class compartment). Then I made the reservation for a seat in the silent compartment (a compartment at the end of the carriage), where the system doesn't assign seats automatically.
Thanks for watching! Yes, the prices are pretty cheap :-) I took most of the shots in the section where not so many people ride.. In the section Vienna - Brno the train usually wasn't so full, the busiest section is Brno - Prague. And also, more crowded are lower classes - Lowcost and Standard.
Compartments are nice of you’re traveling with a group (family, friends etc.)
Yes I agree. When I traveled with my family, we also preferred compartments. But now as a solo traveler I prefer open-plan coaches :-)
Compartments are also good if you are a very social person
Thanks for the pleasant train ride. I really enjoy your travel videos. I agree that the first train station is beautiful, and the train is really nice.
Thanks so much for watching and your comment! Yes, new Vienna main train station is one of the most beautiful stations :)

Their service is nice. And recently they added some new hot meals to the on-board menu :-) Greetings from Prague :-)
Great video loved the scenes in Prague and Vienna also like there are multiple classes. The astra car with LCD screens is really something
Thanks so much! The Astra coach is nice, only the legroom look a bit tight in compare with Relax class :-)
@@PeteBrandy oh ok

Very nice report Pete. Very comprehensive. I like Vienna station design too. Awesome train!
Thanks mate! Yes, Vienna Main Station is very nice :-)
Love the way you do these trip reports. Also, for some reason I like that train at 8:53 😆👍
Thanks so much! Really do you like the train at 8:53 ? :-D It's a regional train, these coaches have bad legroom and no air condition :-D

Great trip report. Trips by train are also very interesting. Very nice train and service quality. Greetings from Warsaw.
Thanks so much! Also trains are only one option on many routes this time. Greetings from Prague :-)
Beautiful video, Pete !!! Congratulations !!! 🔝👍🏻😉
Thanks so much for watching! :-)
This feels exactly the same as the NS intercity direct services they offer. Also loco push-pull, really similar first class.. so it must be great!

Wonderful trip report Pete! Those food prices were so cheap...

Superb report! Nicely done 👍👍
Thanks so much mate! :-)
I usually take the local train to the hauptbahnhof just to go to platform 6, 7, 8 or 9 to watch the railjets go

To everybody who is praising "our" (V4 countries) travel prices:
Check out our earnings/pensions for the same job and the retirement too...

soda is cheap... maybe $3 here
Yes, the menu was almost on same prices like in the shops, very good pricing for an international train! :-)
