CD Sleeper train from Prague to Budapest I EN 477 "Metropol"

- Follow me on today's trip with a České dráhy Night train in a single sleeping compartment. Today we drive with the Euro Night EN 477 (IC 573). The same route is also available back from Budapest to Prague as EN 476 (IC 572). The train is called Metropol and was already running from Berlin via Dresden to Prague, Bratislava and Budapest. The EuroNight trip takes about 11 hours and cost me €90.

Pepsi and Coke are popular everywhere. Glad to see restaurant car on night train. I'm disappointed Night Jet does not have a cafe or bar for socializing.

Get out to the city and get some real fantastic local czech food! 👍😁🍻... also in the main station you can find a good beer pub with traditional local food😁

If EN476/477 Metropol needs to run to Berlin at Breclav (in Austria-Hungary maps German language Lundenburg) it's attached to Wien Hbf Lundenburg (Breclav)-Oderburg(Bohumin Austria Hungary/German Empire Border Station)-Oppeln-Breslau-Berlin Sleeper train. CD380 does Budapest-Breclav CZ362 Breclav-Bohumin EU44 Bohumin (Oderburg)-Wroclaw (Breslau)-Berlin

Very informative! Thanks for making this video. I am travelling with my mum and my brother and we would like to stay in a similar private cabin just for the 3 of us. However, when I search for the tickets on the CD website, I can only find individual sleeper tickets and not a cabin for 3 people. Can you advise how you managed to book the entire cabin on line? Thanks in advance!

If you reserve a second class 6 seat compartment do you get the whole 3 seats to yourself or could you be stuck with 5 other people?
They usually sell those. Couchettes are usually full. Sleeper cabins best way to save cost is to book a double sleeper and pray no one will take the other bed. 90% i am lucky with this method(a sleeper train regular)

No I was never asked about this on international train journeys. But stick to the rules we want to end the pandemic soon :)
