very cool tank mate! I know most Channa's dont need oxygen rich waters, but do that waterfall alone, create enough water surface breakage to actually apply enough oxygen to keep other species than channa's? Amazing job mate, great inspiration!
Yes, they sometimes destroy plants. But if you keep the Anubias,you don't worry the issue. It possesses coarse and leather-like leaves which makes it difficult to be consumed by fish like large cichlids and other herbivorous fish species. they dislike the hardness of the leaves and are likely to ignore it. Anubias is a great plant choice for setups without substrate.
Hi, baby snakeheads are not encouraged to eat live fish especially with a big fish sometimes they get choked and die or sometimes they might get overfed and die…but its a good thing he didnt eat the catfish!

The channa is not usually suitable for living with other species,they are aggressive.
All Channa come to the surface and breath atmospheric air so little surface agitation won’t be an issue for water oxygen levels
