These are all gorgeous. As someone who's favorite Ferrari is the 288, that is a pretty sweet re imagining. Not quite as nice as the original in my opinion but they definitely do it justice. But overall...the most beautiful one for me here is the Volvo. That thing is just amazing. It's proportions are pretty much perfect. Kind of the same reason I love the 288. Just looks so balanced from every angle.
damn you're right i saw a XJ series 3 today, I kept drooling over the exterior but realized that I wouldn't be able to get over that ancient interior... and I was contemplating whether it could actually be cured to make it look great yet not out of place... the interior at 4:09 would be it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah we're nearly there since it's being forced on everyone, whether the tech and infrastructure is there or not. I'm not against electric cars. They have a number of advantages, but I am against the way we're gonna be forced to buy them. Electric motors don't need complex cooing systems, air intake systems, fuel systems, they don't need to worry about vacuum, spark plugs, rods, pistons, camshafts, valves, they have instant torque and don't need gears. Hell you can just put them right on the thing you're trying to turn anyways, the wheel, instead of having to figure out how to get the force from the explosion in the cylinder to the wheel, so they've got a lot of things going for them, but they don't have the range nor the ability to quickly replace the thing that's making the power. Plus the world's electric grids struggle as is, and now we're gonna hook up hundreds of thousands to millions of cars and trucks to it every day? If it's done at the speed they want to do it at this will be an utter disaster, as in the entire world economy collapsing no food on the shelves type of disaster. Oh and it won't even fix the problem they say they want to fix. Take every single internal combustion engine out of existence right now and it won't make hardly any difference in how much CO2 is in the atmosphere, not that CO2 in the atmosphere is a problem to begin with anyways.
@@jamesstaggs4160 literally couldnt agree more with this comment, cant find a single point i disagree with, i really don't mind electric cars, just let it grow organically instead of making regulations to outlaw something that already works, is still better in many ways, and is still getting improved considerably, i appreciate every form of technology and would like to see innovation in every segment, sick of all the green politics.
The GW speedster is something I didn’t think twice about. But after that short little slide…it sparked a little flame 🔥 definitely gave me a new perspective on a speedster
Not a bad video, but there quite a lot of other restomods you didn’t mention. Why did you skip cars like the Delta Futurista, Singer 911, Alfaholics GTA, Eagle E-type, …. ?
Singer 911 is eye candy but like Jason Camissa said, they’re not actually fun to drive. They engineered all the classic 911 out of the car. Still absolutely beautiful cars, but no thanks for a million dollars, I’d take a RUF SCR any day of the week over a Singer
At the prices being proposed, only the last two stand any chance. It is no wonder these companies go bankrupt so quickly - they are run by passionate enthusiasts, and not dispassionate business entrepreneurs. Often, they are unrealistic in their projections.
3:50 it wasn't less popular - Jaguar Coupes are very rare indeed and something they should have continued to manufacture, onr of the many 'own goals' scored.
Yes, there are beautiful and unique bespoke cars for the ultra rich. New manufacturers join the market every day. One day the restmod hype will be over and most of this companies are gone. Good Luck with the spare parts.
Correction, to get the Gutherwerks Speedster costed $850k plus the cost of a 993 generation 911 as the donor for the chassis and title requirements before they sold out. The final cost was typically around $1,000,000 for the people who bought them
sorry, but I think you made a mistake about the Maggiore: the vehicle is not based on the Ferrari 288 GTO (even if it is the same model that the designers of this Restomod took for evocation), but on the 308 GTB / GTS. Because the 288 GTO model is too rare/precious & pricey😉
I die hard RESTOMOD Fanboy confessed. And the only good Ferrari is a RESTOMOD Ferrari, word. Edit: honestly, if I had the money, will buy all of this listed here & start ONLY RESTOMOD collection. SweetmotherofJesus!
I hope no real Ferrari 288 GTO's were destroyed in the act of building the Maggiore car. The GTO is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever made, and it would be a shame if any of the far too few examples were ruined to create some other guy's vision of...whatever.
I think the Maggiore is a miss in the way that the Cyan is a win. The appearance of the P1800 is very lightly massaged while to GOT was hit with an axe. Some songs are best not covered at all.
I wish car companys would reuse their old designs and modernise them for 2020 and on, they would get good money instead of realeseing these new mostly wierd cars/Suv/Ev’s. Dont’t get me wrong some of them look cool, interesting and awesome.
OMG! That Ferrari... I'm going to get rich just so I can get one like that!!!! Literally my dream car... (well, not literally... I've always dreamed of a 308 restomod but this is as close as it gets...)
Nooooooooooo!!!!!! The Ferrari 288 GTO was PERFECT as it was. No, no, no. The other cars are all cool, the Porsche speedster looks great, but that Jaguar gets my vote.
That Jaguar is absolutely stunning, but I'd option it with an extensively modified Jag V12 up front. Maybe a 7ltr with ITBs but definitely fitted with a manual, not a awful auto box (especially if that is one of the hideous old Slushmatic auto boxes that completely destroy any acceleration!)
I believe the Jag, 250gt, and Aggiori were just CG renderings. The Jaguar especially looks a little overcooked in it's rendering. The wheels used in the art would be like 24" in the real world. I bet the actual car will look much better.
People will soon realise that digging up all the colbolt that’s used in the batteries and co2 made to made these cars will kill the world just as quickly as normal petrol cars
Why don’t they do actually cool things like the Vector W8. You know, make it actually drivable and reliable enough(compared to other super/hypercars) to actually be able to go 0-60 in 3.5-3 seconds and go up to 242 MPH.
Just been down to Halfords and bought a shed load of stuff. So here it is ladies and gentlemen my restomodded Renault Twingo. Only 1 will be made. I'm only asking £20.1 million for it. What I thought you could slap restomodded on the end of a cars title and basically ask the earth for it. Come on the Twingo will sell quickly to the gullible rich kids get it quick whilst it's still available.
The EV Mustang. We already have one. And we don't Effing want it. Put an ICE in in. I Like the Renault. I like the Cyan, and this is how retro is supposed to look like. The Jag, the OG Equalizer used to drive one. The original and a Gen-Three Thunderbird had a kid, and I want one. And I like the snarl on the front of it too. Its a Porsche, what's your point? They all look the same and they are all good cars. A Modern version of that Ferrari, and it almost looks almost as good as well!!!!! The Maggiore Ferrari. #2 to me, I like the other one more. (My opinion.) Now he needs to make a Dino.

I would love to have a reimagined Rover P5 Coupe

Man oh man that Volvo 1800 is absolutely breath taking!
That jaguar interior was the most unbelievable restomod interior I’ve ever seen. Not enough words to describe it. So beautiful.
That Volvo Cian is incredible
It's Cyan
