I would have replaced the trans pan with one with a drain plug in it,for future maintenance...Double check your oil filter adapter for leaks. The oil runs down the block and looks like a rear main leak.👊👍👍

I thought about it but decided not to. The only reason I changed pans on the YJ is because I went to a deeper one, can't do that on the LJ because of the belly up.
No filter adapter on the LJ, the filter threads directly down and seals against the machined area of the block. Filter is new and doesn't look like anything is coming from there. It is barely dripping now so it could just be residual oil from where the valve cover was leaking so bad. If I pressure wash it again it might be totally fine, we'll see.

Nice video. I missed the body bushing vid, so got to search for that. Wonder if you went to cable shifter on the tcase with the body bushing swap, but with the camera angle you had in this vid, looks like you kept the mechanical rods. How did you do the pivot point of the rods where its against the trans and the floor?
As for the tcase SYE, NP231 is similar between the YJ and TJ/LJ, but the TJ/LJ has a different output cone since the seal is in the cone on the tcase output shaft vs the slip yoke of the driveshaft like that of the YJ. I would have liked to see how that gets pulled off...or do you use the seal puller to mangle it as you pull it off the cone to get to the snap ring?
What is the length of the ds now compared to the stock version (yoke to yoke)?
Been searching a little on the trans skid for a flat belly for my 04 LJ as well. That 42RLE trans is a biggin'. I've got a UCF on my 01 Sahara 5-sp with the engine skid. The engine skid is not centered due to the lower exhaust runner that is near the oil pan. Its not a big deal, but had to get Fumoto valve to drain the oil.

Still have the factory mechanical shifter parts for the t-case. With the body lift and belly up it all lined up pretty close to where it was originally so I didn't mess with it or need to change anything. A little stiffer than it was before but it is working. If it gives me issues I will go with a cable shifter.
For the slip yoke output I just hammered the metal lip with a chisel till it split, then pried it off to get to the snap ring.
I'll try to get a measurement next time I'm under the Jeep.
