Bruh , rarely be played closed , as a drummer it’s a skill to self mix how you play , you should never play all the way open because it sounds loud and messy and also if your playing all the way open your not using the molar method , you are probably just bashing it . Also this guy is not playing it open on purpose , it is because he does not have a hi hat clamp
