Concordo. Sou sudeste asiático e nunca vi alguém de fora do Brasil pega a música brasileira assim. Usualmente eles apenas tentam duplicar "o som brasileiro" e fica muito clichê: muito básico bossa sem inspiração, um forte sotaque brasileiro clichê, etc. Nina Miranda me enganou. Achei que era uma banda brasileira pq ela canta (particularmente as letras inglesas) com uma certa atitude lúdica e dramática que é distinta das mulheres brasileiras.😂 Talvez ela é uma brasileira em um nível espiritual e então não teve de tentar tanto ser brasileiro nem vocalmente nem musicalmente. Essa banda é bastante especial, o album inteiro dela Flying Away é lindo louco e eterno. Parece que eles nascem brasileiros e- como você disse- fazem uma formosura. Desculpa pelo meu protuguês, ainda tô aprendendo ✌🏽

I consider this to be one of the greatest live albums in music history. Okay, Smoke City is not very well-known, but this sound is stunning, almost like having sex with an angel: mysterious, tropical and emotionally unmistakable. Exactly the vibe of the band.
Just found this, is a wonderful set. Never got to hear Smoke City live but managed to catch Da Lata on Koh Samui and Zeep in London, twice. Always fantastic, especially the Green Note.
I feel like a sinner just thinking that this session is a thousand times better than the album, or they both make a thousand and one, i met the album during some of my most crucial artistic awakening, it was 2009 Port Elizabeth, South Africa, i was doing 3rd year art and design, spent hours and hours driving along Humewood beach smoking weed with my friend Chris in his red 16 V TOYOTA COROLLA.
