If you combine the entire amount collected between the group collectively, they should have MORE than enough to rent a cheap apartment or motel room, with plenty left over for food. I feel for the homeless and those suffering from financial difficulties, as I too am faced with many of these challenges too! But $300-$400/ WEEK /person... for 18-20 YEARS!?! It doesn't sound like they want to change! It seems they merely want everything handed to them. Then again, it also doesn't seem that they are the ones with the problem. They seem fairly comfortable with their lifestyle. It's the government and upper-class who have the problem. And what is their complaint? That it "looks bad" to the tourists? What do they expect people to do? Where do they expect these people to go? How about STOP giving yourselves more raises and start HELPING these people! The LORD says "it's is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven". Greed and pride have corrupted our world! Let these people be. Permits are unconstitutional for panhandling. Panhandling is a form of free speech safeguarded by the Constitution under the 1st Amendment. The Constitution limits the scope of the governments authority over the people’s civil rights. The government is not trying to help, rather trying to outlaw the constitutional freedoms of the people. They use this to their advantage because they believe many people don’t know their Constitutional Rights.

But for those of us that panhandle, can we be given a citation from the police and Jailed because we are homeless and we are cause a public health crises by trashing up the places where we are actively panhandling? Or what if one of our friends gets into a verbal altercation with those that we are asking to donate cash from? Also would we be protected still if some of those that we live with who also panhandle are using the donated cash for drugs like meth, or coke, or alcohol and they are using it within our home camp?
@ Can A person be charged for Tax evasion because of panhandling? Is Panhandling considered Self Employment because of being out there daily and receiving monetary cash? Can the people that donate this Monetary cash or Foods that was purchased with monetary cash be included in their documents or tax forms for tax deduction? Especially if they record this transaction between themselves and the panhandler / panhandlers by way of their cell phones?
