Hi Teresa. I have watched many, but not all of the videos on decluttering. I am working through them slowly and intend to watch them all as I continue my project of decluttering my home and my life. I got sidetracked for a while as a dear friend was downsizing and needed my help. Your practical videos helped me to help her! I especially enjoyed this last video. I hope I can do as you have done. Thank you so much for the wisdom, guidance, encouragement, and inspiration. As someone who loves to thrift and find treasures, I am so grateful that I found YOU and your channel. Be well. lisa
@@lisaromberg3113 Lisa, thank you so much for this kind and thoughtful comment. I’m so glad you were able to help your friend - what a wonderful gift!! All the best to you on your decluttering journey!! 💛
Great lessons learned Teresa! Here are some things I learned: 1. It’s easier to declutter and let go the more you do it! 2. It gives me a satisfied and peaceful feeling. 3. It’s easier to do it with a friend who isn’t attached to my stuff. 4. I’m happy I did the work and want to do even more! Thanks for the lovely shoutout of my channel! I appreciate you! Happy weekend! 💓💓💓
@@MyBlessedNest This is such a great list! Thanks for sharing, Carol! I am so appreciative of your encouragement and support and many shout-outs during this decluttering challenge!! Thank you! 🩷🩷🩷
It’s nice that you’ve shown different ways to declutter and that there is no absolute one way. Every scenario has a different approach. Keep doing what you do😊👏🙏.
Morning, Teresa. I’ve watched all your videos (look forward to them), and left comments on 75% of them. I didn’t get to 1k items, but still feel good with my purge…. and, I’m the opposite now. I’ve walked right past all the seasonal decor and not even flinched about buying any. It brought back feelings of one day I will probably be decluttering that item, so why not save my energy for something else I truly love, and, the fact I don’t need anymore. Thanks for the support and push to plow through!
@@tcoladonato You are a dedicated decluttered, Tina!! I am so proud of you! 👏🏼 (you may have commented on all of them - I actually look forward to your comments! 😁) I love what you said about new Christmas decor - what a sobering thought. 😮 Blessings to you!! 💛

Hi Teresa, I'm working my way through your whole decluttering series and loving every video. I'm a big proponent of purging and do so on a regular basis. But, I also love thrifting, as well as everything vintage. Your booth looked awesome! I would loved to have attended that event. As you said, the trick is to shop intentionally . I will still purchase things that are an "upgrade" to something I already have (donate the old) or if the item adds to an existing collection, or as the perfect gift for someone. I have other criteria as well which I'll share in another video comment. I'm so grateful to you for your videos, Teresa. You have a very easy and natural way of speaking to the camera, as though you're on a video chat with a friend. You've found your calling! Bless you!
@@lizincognito3072 Wow, Liz. Thank you!! I am so glad my videos have been encouraging. I love your thoughts about intentional purchases. I totally agree with you! Thanks for sharing! 🤩
I watched every one of your decluttering videos - even when the area wasn't relevant to me (e.g. playroom - we don't have kids) I still found the principles helpful, and decluttered an area of our home as I listened. We are decluttering ahead of a move, and while I don't have a specific number of items in view, I wanted to make sure that we don't move anything we don't really want to take. I feel lighter with every box or bag that leaves the house!
@@pippas5808 Hi Pippa! It’s great to hear from you. You are so smart to declutter before you move - great job!! When you think about how much work it is to pack it all up, move it, unpack it, and find a place for it, letting go is a lot easier! 😂 Thanks for sharing!
@@MyLittleRealities My pleasure! I would love to hear how the challenge goes for you and what you learn along the way. Thank you so much for watching and for sharing! 😊💛
Maybe I have one more garage sale in me when we move out of our tiny garage apartment. Almost always I take a monthly pile to Salvation Army but we might have furniture stored in our shed that we won’t want in a bigger apt. Also we have a giant estate sale in the future when my mother in-law goes home to Jesus. Maybe I can go on a trip when that happens and leave it to my husband and his sister. Dreams

Goooood Sunday morning!!! I woke up and typed “declutter” and your video popped up! I need help and advise. I live in 2 different homes: my home in Louisiana on the weekends and my daughter’s house during the week. I have “stuff” that I want to get rid of immediately! Paper, mail, clothes, junk! And my car has each of these items living in it. I don’t know where to start but I have to start somewhere. Any suggestions is welcomed and I now am a new subscriber. Have a great day.
@@proudganma Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Misae! That is a difficult living situation. This was the last video in the series, but it might be helpful to start with the first. The Playlist should guide you quite well on your decluttering journey. My first piece of advice is to do something every day. Even if it is taking 1 box to the donate center - every little bit helps! The second thing I recommend is starting with your smallest space (that might even be your car!) Declutter that thoroughly, making it clean and tidy. Maintain that one space while you slowly tackle the next biggest spot. Establish a daily habit that will help you keep the areas you have finished clean. For example, every time you get out of your car, you spend one minute cleaning it out. I hope this is helpful - keep me posted on your progress!! 😊
