I have been accepted both at a public German and a French university. I still have not decided where to go as I am waiting for their scholarship results. The intake is in September but the scholarship results will be out by June only. Can I apply for a loan at SBI at this stage as I am afraid even if I get the scholarship it would not be sufficient. I tried to request a call back but it is not submitting my request.
Hi, congrats for the admits. But, it is wise to start for applying to scholarships and the education loan at the same time. Because only 4-6% of students get to win fully funded scholarships. Hence, the need for education loan might be higher. In case you are lucky to win a fully funded scholarship and alongside you have your loan sanction too, you can ignore and cancel the loan. But, having nothing by the end of the time limits will put you in a difficult situation. Please try requesting a call now, it should work www.wemakescholars.com/study-abroad-education-loan If still facing any issues, pls write to krishnaa@wemakescholars.com
Hi Pavan, that actually depends as per the terms of the FD which you already had with the bank. If the FD you had was giving you interest on a monthly basis, you'll continue getting the same and similarly, if it was for yearly, you continue getting the same. The FD interest terms don't change if you take an education loan against that FD. Hope I answered your query. Why banks immediately say NO when we go for taking education loan for ukraine???? Can u plz tell me... wt are the possible reason behind it.. my university is also very good still they say "NO" they say ki we are not providing loan for ukraine but y???
Hi Roshni, the primary reason why banks are hesitant about sanctioning loans for Ukraine is that the employment chances of graduates from that country are not that high. Banks fear that repayment will be an issue. Still, through WeMakeScholars, we have been able to sanction Ukraine cases, but that is only possible if the student's profile is very good otherwise. I believe you are connected to our loan officer Archit Goyal. Please be in touch with him for all your loan needs.

Please try requesting a call now, it should work www.wemakescholars.com/study-abroad-education-loan
If still facing any issues, pls write to krishnaa@wemakescholars.com
Ok Thank you
Hi I've a question on the interest which we get for FD. Do we get interest on annual basis or monthly basis?

In case of LIC POLICY.. How old should be the policy, at minimum?
Hi, Simranpreet! It should be a maturing policy with a fixed maturity date. For further guidance, please connect to our loan team by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan Once you fill out the form, they will get back to you to guide you further.
I have a doubt regarding existing FD
You said that existing FD is not allowed and we have to make a new FD but the popup box is saying 'existing FDs will be accepted' (check video from 4:37)
Hi, the education loan has to be from the same bank where you have started your FD. If that's not the case, you may have to open a new FD with the bank from whom you are borrowing your education loan. Hope this clears your doubt.
Is any business is preferable to apply collateral loan

Hello Mam, do banks accept other policies then LIC. We have a policy in Sahara with a fixed maturity date.

could I get an education load through mutual funds as collateral?
Hi Anmol, unfortunately, mutual funds are not acceptable by any public bank.
FYI, I'm listing below the types of collateral that are being accepted. Please try arranging them.
Two types of securities can be accepted:
A) Immovable property: House or a Flat or Land
B) Liquid security: Fixed deposit, LIC policy, Bonds, etc.
Third party collateral (collateral belonging uncle/ aunt/ relatives/ grandparents/ family friends) are acceptable as well.
