I do the zero sum rule also. Each week I can only buy less than I sell. If I buy something for myself, I have to sell or donate something of mine. It’s so easy to let the “stuff” get out of control.

I have two of those owls that size that you picked up I have them sitting on top of a curtain rod in each window, and 1 large one the sits up high on a rafter. So many people get startled when they notice the one up on the rafter thinking it's real.

It p@&$;. me off, that they have to constantly be defending themselves, justifying, clarifying and having to spend so much energy on trying to make sure they don’t open the flood gates for ridiculously harsh and in fact, just ridiculous nonsense. They don’t deserve anything but gratitude from all of us. We get educated, entertained and get to “virtually” meet and chat with others in this quirky community. It's interesting to watch your live auctions. I've seen so many that get caught up in the moment and overbid on something that they will never get back if they relist. I bid one time, but could see I had also been caught up and chose not to pursue it. You do have some great finds that I don't see here in WA State. I WILL keep an eye out for the Millefiori glass for you though as I work for an estate company that always has high end glass such as Murano, Chihuly, etc. Have you come across any Paul Klee prints? The Goodwill stores you go to seem very reasonable on most things you show. I didn't understand the scoffing at the 99cent mug that would have been marked down at checkout on top of it; $10-$12 is a great return on something that cost less the a dollar. From what you have said, you have an ebay store that is not full, and then you have a booth, plus you do live auctions. Have you considered just combining all of those and having a small store of your own? It would be great to see all of your goods in one place. Just curious, that's all. Your enthusiasm is infectious!! I have that glass separator made in Italy. It is great! When you place the "value" on the items at the end, is that based on one that was sold on eBay or a ballpark price. I know you have said you want to triple your profit, but some of the items I have seen just won't garner that 'value' you place on it. I guess at the end of the day, someone will pay what they want to pay, even if the worth is not there, but the emotion to that item is.
Oh please let me know if you find any of the shades or Chihuly!! So a $10 item purchased for $1 will yield about a $7.40 net profit after fees - the same amount of time it takes to sell that I could sell a $20 item I purchased for $5 with a yield of $12.10 which takes the same amount of time to list, sell and package up. For my business model I need to stick to higher profit items. I have a big project in the works ;-) Values in my recap are based on researching actual sold comps. So when I state a value it is because the item has historically sold for that amount or higher (I don't choose the highest by the way).

Love watching your videos. So informative. Wish our thrift shops here had the grade of merchandise that Vegas does. In regard to the "almost MD". A resident is already a doctor, they need to work under supervision during their residency , they actually treat patients and prescribe meds in all phases of patients in hospital from general to intensive care and Emergency room. They work long hours for low pay while they are proving that they actually are ready to practice on their own. That mug would be great for a 2nd,3rd or 4th year med school student. The "wanna be" MD's are mostly all eliminated during the first year of med school.
Oh my gosh Danni I,ve been doing stain glass and mosaicing for over 40 years . I could fix the box and watermelons. They where so pretty. Thank You for another great shopping trip.
Being picky is a must but also you have to still shop because if you don’t, you’ll miss that one great find. I shop GoodWill on Wednesday for the discount. Your cart was lucky because when I go I have to wait to get a cart or shop with no cart.

The seal meal or now the food saver is great! We buy our meat in the big family pks and divide it. Plus they deer hunt and that's super because it stays very fresh. Food saver was my best investment
You know, even typed comments have "tone"! Those lucite picture frames w/ the gold flecks remind me of the pair of beautiful vintage lucite candles i found @ a yard sale in perfect condition for $1. I put them in a pair of fitz & floyd candlesticks & put them into my booth & they looked great...great enough that someone stole the candles & left the candlesticks! Oh well, only paid a $1, but know they were worth much more! BTW, thanks for finding my name mug! I loved the scripture quilt, very pretty. I tell you what, y'all are having waaay too much fun 🤣!

Unfortunately those videos don't get the views you can watch her live Monday chat where she does give a lot more insight and you can ask her about some of that stuff. Also she is still organizing and starting up her eBay room in her new house so I know she will tack that on at the end of video or show it at her Monday chats. I find shopping with them in antique shops or malls not interesting because there is no thrill left. Someone already found the good stuff at a great price and up-priced to retail. Push away! I just signed up for Poshmark to start selling clothing and accessories I've had sitting in boxes for over a year. I need to get rid of stuff & might as well make some money to pay off my loans. I'm sick of the clutter! Also found Kidizen, so hoping to get rid of my son's old clothes. I bought a lot of discount designer clothes for him that he maybe wore once or twice when he was a baby. Thanks for showing me how to resell stuff!

I think you can rid the dolphin of its yellowed color with creme developer hairdressers use. Apply and wrap tightly with saran wrap and put in the sun (treat one side at a time) for several hours. Unwrsp rinse and repeat until the yellow is gone.
I like the idea to replace what sale but the 20.00 stuff is your bread and butter. So look for higher dollar but don't leave the 20 behind if it will sale quick.
Hi Danni and Carrie, the blue plastic dolaphin is for massage. I was thinking the giraffe might be for spare rolls of toilet paper and I have seen that type of thing. But the ikea suggested by someone is probably the best. I just got home from my first thrifting since I fell over a year ago. It was fun but exhausting. I came home with a purse, a kids batman cap for family, a couple of little trinkets, 6 beautiful early 20th century small plates and with gold very similar to my Heisey jar. 6 plates for $7. Also a very large platter by Espana with 40-50$ solds. (It may be a gift.) But best of all I matched up a pair of pretty mugs and a foursome of handpainted mugs. Hopefully it will help them find a home. I felt a definite kinship with you Danni!

Dani, such a nice shopping day for you.. Did you say that the band playing in the background tosses a copyright claim at you? What does that mean and are there copyright police just trolling YT?
When you upload a video to RUclips then YT bots "screen" the video and can detect if there are songs playing in the video that you haven't paid for, then the video is deemed a copyright claim against that video so you either have to pay for that said music or try to disguise the music with playing other music over, or voice over or clip that portion out of the video. Then you can upload the video again to see if it "passes".

Push away! I just signed up for Poshmark to start selling clothing and accessories I've had sitting in boxes for over a year. I need to get rid of stuff & might as well make some money to pay off my loans. I'm sick of the clutter! Also found Kidizen, so hoping to get rid of my son's old clothes. I bought a lot of discount designer clothes for him that he maybe wore once or twice when he was a baby. Thanks for showing me how to resell stuff!

I think you can rid the dolphin of its yellowed color with creme developer hairdressers use. Apply and wrap tightly with saran wrap and put in the sun (treat one side at a time) for several hours. Unwrsp rinse and repeat until the yellow is gone.

Hi Danni and Carrie, the blue plastic dolaphin is for massage. I was thinking the giraffe might be for spare rolls of toilet paper and I have seen that type of thing. But the ikea suggested by someone is probably the best.
I just got home from my first thrifting since I fell over a year ago. It was fun but exhausting. I came home with a purse, a kids batman cap for family, a couple of little trinkets, 6 beautiful early 20th century small plates and with gold very similar to my Heisey jar. 6 plates for $7. Also a very large platter by Espana with 40-50$ solds. (It may be a gift.)
But best of all I matched up a pair of pretty mugs and a foursome of handpainted mugs. Hopefully it will help them find a home. I felt a definite kinship with you Danni!

When you upload a video to RUclips then YT bots "screen" the video and can detect if there are songs playing in the video that you haven't paid for, then the video is deemed a copyright claim against that video so you either have to pay for that said music or try to disguise the music with playing other music over, or voice over or clip that portion out of the video. Then you can upload the video again to see if it "passes".
